结合中国引文数据库和W eb of Science数据库,利用h指数及类h指数,提出加权平均(h,g,R)指数,对我国大学图书馆的学术影响力进行评价;利用元h指数及类元h指数,提出元加权平均(h,g,R)指数,对图书馆作者群体学术影响力进行评价。研究作者群体学术影响力与图书馆学术影响力之间的关系,结合作者群体的h指数分布,分析不同作者群体对图书馆学术研究的影响模式。认为加权平均(h,g,R)指数及元加权平均(h,g,R)指数对图书馆和作者群学术影响力的评价更合理,作者群体学术影响力与图书馆学术影响力高度相关。  相似文献

讨论了h指数和类h指数的形成机理,提出基于国际WoS、JCR、ESI三大数据库和国内CSTPC、CSSCI两大数据库,利用SPSS等支持软件通过数据实验归纳发现新的类h指数并与h指数进行比较的实证思想。作为2005年国际上新提出的评价指标,h指数和类h指数具有发展成为下一代核心评价参数的可能,因而对h指数和类h指数进行系统研究具有重大现实意义和学术价值。  相似文献

随着网络的高速普及,博客迅速成为信息交流的重要载体和途径。从博客h指数出发,探讨博客阅读次数h指数与评论次数h指数的相关性,博客阅读次数h指数及评论次数h指数与博主学术论文h指数之间的相关性。结果表明,博客可采用博客h指数结合博客点击数的方法进行博客的排名;可运用博客h指数结合科学家h指数用于科学家个人学术成就的评价。  相似文献

h指数研究在全世界引起了广泛的兴趣,已成为国际情报学界最为关注的热点领域,但实证研究手段的落后严重阻碍了相关研究的快速发展.为解决以作者为检索单位的传统h指数统计方法不适于领域层次大范围作者h指数研究等缺陷,提出以期刊为检索单位的h指数批量统计法,它一次可自动提取某领域全部作者的h指数,具有适合程序处理、精确、快速等特点.以国内图书情报界为例进行了实证对比研究,证明其可行性和有效性,并用该方法和WOS数据得到国际图书情报界高影响力作者名单及其h指数.最后指出该方法的潜在应用价值和局限性.  相似文献

以CSSCI(1998-2007)为数据源,统计了72 种国内经济类期刊的h 指数,得出经济类期刊h 指数与排名次序的关系符合Powerlaw 的结论。结合其他学科h 指数分布情况,得出期刊h 指数学科差异明显、相当多期刊h 指数偏低、经济类期刊h 指数较高等结论。并将期刊的h 指数排名与基于影响因子等指标的排名进行对比,证明期刊h 指数在无干扰情况下是一种性能良好的期刊学术质量衡量指标,同时指出期刊h 指数存在容易遭受h 指数精确注水等局限性。  相似文献

[目的/意义]很多学科服务机构已经把学科数据的定期分析和提供学科报告作为学科服务的重要手段,但这种学科数据分析报告服务仅具有周期性,并不能及时跟踪动态变化的学科数据。本研究的目的是以h指数分析为例,对学者影响力进行动态追踪和监测,探索一种基于动态数据整合的面向预测的新型学科服务模式。[方法/过程]通过对国内和国外两个研究团队h指数发展、逐年变化趋势进行文献计量分析,获取团队成员自有成果发表年以来逐年的论文数量及其引用数据,并计算累积被引次数,逐年提取h指数。[结果/结论]团队成员中h指数增长趋势轨迹各不相同,需结合各成员任职年限、h指数增长率等数据对其在团队中的作用进行判断,论文最后对不同的h指数变化趋势在科研管理中的作用进行总结和概括。  相似文献

2005年,Hirsch提出了用h指数评价科学工作者的个人成就。文章对2003年被中国科技引文数据库收录的化学和土木建筑领域类期刊按h指数和相对h指数排名情况进行分析,目的在于说明h指数、相对h指数与影响因子排名的不同,及h指数和相对h指数用于评价期刊的现实意义。最后指出在使用h指数和相对h指数评价期刊时,应该全面、综合性地考虑。  相似文献

In tandem with the rapid globalisation of science, spatial scientometrics has become an important research sub-field in scientometric studies. Recently, numerous spatial scientometric contributions have focused on the examination of cities’ scientific output by using various scientometric indicators. In this paper, I analyse cities’ scientific output worldwide in terms of the number of journal articles indexed by the Scopus database, in the period from 1986 to 2015. Furthermore, I examine which countries are the most important collaborators of cities. Finally, I identify the most productive disciplines in each city. I use GPS Visualizer to illustrate the scientometric data of nearly 2200 cities on maps. Results show that cities with the highest scientific output are mostly located in developed countries and China. Between 1986 and 2015, the greatest number of scientific articles were created in Beijing. The international hegemony of the United States in science has been described by many studies, and is also reinforced by the fact that the United States is the most important collaborator to more than 75% of all cities. Medicine is the most productive discipline in two-thirds of cities. Furthermore, cities having the highest scientific output in specific disciplines show well-defined geographical patterns.  相似文献

A bibliometric analysis was applied in this work to evaluate global scientific production of geographic information system (GIS) papers from 1997 to 2006 in any journal of all the subject categories of the Science Citation Index compiled by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), Philadelphia, USA. ‘GIS’ and ‘geographic information system’ were used as keywords to search parts of titles, abstracts, or keywords. The published output analysis showed that GIS research steadily increased over the past 10 years and the annual paper production in 2006 was about three times 1997s paper production. There are clear distinctions among author keywords used in publications from the five most productive countries (USA, UK, Canada, Germany and China) in GIS research. Bibliometric methods could quantitatively characterize the development of global scientific production in a specific research field. The analytical results eventually provide several key findings.  相似文献

The present work investigates the relations between amplitude and type of collaboration (intramural, extramural domestic or international) and output of specialized versus diversified research. By specialized or diversified research, we mean within or beyond the author’s dominant research topic. The field of observation is the scientific production over five years from about 23,500 academics. The analyses are conducted at the aggregate and disciplinary level. The results lead to the conclusion that in general, the output of diversified research is no more frequently the fruit of collaboration than is specialized research. At the level of the particular collaboration types, international collaborations weakly underlie the specialized kind of research output; on the contrary, extramural domestic and intramural collaborations are weakly associated with diversified research. While the weakness of association remains, exceptions are observed at the level of the individual disciplines.  相似文献

Basic research is the main powerhouse of a country’s potential for continuous economic growth, and national-level scientific research funding is an important source of capital that supports this basic research. Given these observations, this paper takes micro-level data from projects funded by the Department of Management Sciences in the National Natural Science Foundation of China between 2006 and 2010 to examine the relationship between the efficient use of research funding and the level of concentrated funding in certain research institutions. In contrast to the positive externalities produced by the concentration of R&D activities, our study finds that the accumulation of scientific research funding at the institution level is negative correlated with the knowledge output of the principal investigators of projects within the research institution. We explore the sources of the negative correlation and discuss some policy implications.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose two methods for scoring scientific output based on statistical quantile plotting. First, a rescaling of journal impact factors for scoring scientific output on a macro level is proposed. It is based on normal quantile plotting which allows to transform impact data over several subject categories to a standardized distribution. This can be used in comparing scientific output of larger entities such as departments working in quite different areas of research. Next, as an alternative to the Hirsch index [Hirsch, J.E. (2005). An index to quantify an individuals scientific research output. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 102(46), 16569–16572], the extreme value index is proposed as an indicator for assessment of the research performance of individual scientists. In case of Lotkaian–Zipf–Pareto behaviour of citation counts of an individual, the extreme value index can be interpreted as the slope in a Pareto–Zipf quantile plot. This index, in contrast to the Hirsch index, is not influenced by the number of publications but stresses the decay of the statistical tail of citation counts. It appears to be much less sensitive to the science field than the Hirsch index.  相似文献

Concentrates on the academic publishing sector within India, promoting three sites of resistance to historical (colonial) publishing processes identified as deficiencies for India’s growing academic publishing market. For a framework, the research draws on postcolonial theory, particularly the body of work assessing the means by which large academic publishers tightly control access to scientific output in many developing countries. It argues that although the historical constraints to academic publishing in India are diminishing, careful socioeconomic planning, recognising the development of a unique digital culture in India, are pivotal for a revitalised, local academic publishing program to grow and succeed.  相似文献

Scientific news is one of the major resources that help the public to understand new scientific knowledge. The latest technology in research and development primarily utilizes English as the language of communication in academic journals and scientific communities. Compiled science news therefore has become a major agent for many non-Western societies to understand the latest technological developments. For this reason, this study aimed to investigate the meaningful change among transforming processes of imported science news from ‘original scientific research’ and ‘overseas news reports,’ to ‘domestic compiled science news.’ The research findings showed that scientific knowledge categories of compiled science news in Taiwan appeared to be apparently unbalanced, and the compiled skills present obvious weaknesses. Furthermore, more seriously compiled science news in Taiwan has continually suffered from the ‘double media distortion’ syndrome. The first distortion appeared from the ‘original scientific research’ to the ‘overseas news reports,’ and the second was from the ‘overseas news reports’ to the ‘domestic compiled science news.’ Such situations are very different from the Western world and could also be a common problem for all non-Western societies.  相似文献
