爱与真诚的实录——记驻留中国40年的美国女人格蕾丝

格蕾丝·狄凡,去世前是南开大学外国语学院的副教授,但这并不是传记作者要强调的传主的主要身份。作者无意于将传主突显为英雄或者行业名人,而重在讲述格蕾丝·狄凡因为对中国丈夫温婉绵长的爱而留居中国40年的故事。这位中国丈夫就是我国著名的给水排水工程师刘弗祺（1902—1955）先生。刘弗祺1925年毕业于清华大学,尔后深造于美国康奈尔大学。
