一月十五日是腊八节，每年在农历十二月的第八天庆祝，“腊”代表了阴历的第12个月，“八”则是指数字8。

今年的1月27日是农历腊月初八,也就是“腊八节”。民间有句俗语：“腊八腊八,冻掉下巴。”虽然夸张了点,但每年的腊八节大多处于“三九”“四九”这段一年中最严寒的时期,民间也因此传说,每到腊八节,家家户户之所以要煮一锅黏糊糊的腊八粥,是为了把冻掉的下巴粘回去。

农历十二月初八为腊八节。腊八名称的来历与远古时人们的蜡祭活动有关。在《礼记·郊特性》中记载:"伊耆氏始为蜡。蜡也者,索也。岁十二月,合聚万物而索飨之也。"伊耆氏即神农氏,那时已经有了年终打猎,以猎物来祭祀天地祖先的礼俗。古代"猎""蜡""腊"是同一个字,因此十二月又叫腊月,十二月初八便是腊八了。     

传统腊八节

中国民间传统节日,时在农历腊月(十二月)初八。简称"腊八",也叫"佛成道节"。在远古时期,腊,本是一种祀仪,常在新旧接替时,用猎获的禽兽举行大祭,以此来祈福求祥,避灾驱邪。当时,腊、猎如同一字,猎字原意为"合",并有"接"的意思,古人就把这种祭祀称为"腊祭",于是是冬至的十二月就被称为"腊月"了。当时每年的腊月,
