“特色理论”教育是高校培养跨世纪合格人才的根本要求

邓小平同志建设有中国特色社会主义理论（以下简称“特色理论”）在马克思主义发展史上占有重要地位，所以《中共中央关于进一步加强和改进学校德育工作的若干意见》（以下简称《意见》）指出：要“以邓小平同志建设有中国特色社会主义理论作为学校马克思主义理论教育的中心内容”。这为我们高校的马克思主义理论教育指明了方向。那么，为什么要把“特色理论”作为高校马克思主义理论教育的中心内容？从而使“特色理论”教育成为高校培养跨世纪合格人才的根本要求呢？从根本上说，这是由“特色理论”在马克思主义发展史上所处的历史地位决定的。而要实现这一根本要求，就必须深化“原理”课的教学改革，充分体现“特色理论”的中心地位。
