基于元认知理论分析大学公共英语教学的新路径

元认知理论是教学中的一个重要组成部分。笔者对该理论的定义、分类及其研究意义简单地做了介绍,分析了大学公共英语教学本身所具有的特征,并指出了元认知理论可以有效地实现大学公共英语教学的突破,起到重要的指导作用。因此,应该把元认知理论有机地整合至具体的教学实践过程之中,强化学生自主学习的理念及其能力,引导学生自主性地监控自己的学习,根据实情调整学习策略,有效提高教学效率。     

“应用电化学”双语教学探讨--以中南大学为例

“应用电化学”是中南大学应用化学专业核心课程,其注重电化学基础知识和实际应用相结合,对学生专业能力培养及职业发展具有重要作用。鉴于电化学学科近年来在世界范围迅速发展和双语教学对推进我国高等教育国际化所起到的重要作用,结合中南大学应用化学专业,分析双语教学在应用电化学课程中所起到的作用和未来发展方向;从师生双语素质要求、教材选择、教学开展方式、学生学习方式和教学效果评价等方面探讨应用电化学双语教学的潜在问题,并提出参考意见和解决方案。

国际法双语教学中学生语言心理障碍主要表现在心理阴影、认知偏差、心理惯性和能力障碍等方面.教师应该拿捏好中英文的交互使用火候,引导学生走出英语学习的心理阴影;提高学生对双语教学的认识,矫正其认知偏差;培养学生正确的学习方法和思维模式,消除其心理惯性的负面影响;强化学生专业英语能力训练,提高其语言运用能力.     

再议高校双语教学中存在的问题与建议

双语教学是高校质量工程的重要组成。近几年高校教学探索中存在三个主要问题：学生第二语言的现有水平不足以进行有效的双语学习,影响学生对学科知识的掌握;学生在双语课程学习中的无助心理导致其自我效能感的缺失;学校管理层不重视双语师资的培训,双语课程的开设缺乏连贯性与合理规划。针对以上问题,高校双语课程应该实行学生选课制、开设双语课程群以及对双语学生进行科学的学业评价。

双语教学作为一种全新的教学模式,既是我国教育改革中的亮点,也是当前教育界议论的热点.但近几年来,双语教学逐渐呈萎缩之势,专业不匹配、教材脱轨、教师和学生水平低正成为制约双语教学发展的"瓶颈".为解决双语教学所面临的困境,可从三条路径去尝试:增强教师双语教学能力和提高学生双语教学学习能力;有的放矢,因材施教;加强双语教学的理论研究.

双语对比与本科翻译的理论教学

翻译的理论教学应该与翻译理论的教学区分开来,前者是指翻译课程中的理论教学,而后者是指向学生讲授翻译理论。在本科阶段,翻译教学的培养目标是夯实翻译能力的基础面,即双语转换能力,因此理论教学的主体应该是双语对比研究,而不是翻译理论本身。因为双语对比理论可以帮助学生系统地了解并掌握双语间的结构差异,并据此在翻译中做出恰当的语言结构调整。

Costs and benefits of bilingual education in Guatemala: A partial analysis

The benefits of bilingual education for a disadvantaged indigenous population as an investment in human capital are significant. Students of bilingual schools in Guatemala have higher attendance and promotion rates, and lower repetition and dropout rates. Bilingual students receive higher scores on all subject matters, including mastery of Spanish. The efficiency of bilingual education is confirmed by a crude cost–benefit exercise. A shift to bilingual schooling would result in considerable cost savings because of reduced repetition. The higher quality of education generating higher promotion rates will help students complete primary education and will substantially increase completion rates at low cost. The costs saving due to bilingual education is estimated at $5 million, equal to the cost of primary education for 100,000 students.     

Linguistic‐minority Students and Bilingual Mathematics Teaching

Mathematics teaching and subject‐matter acquisition of two groups of linguistic minority students were studied; one in a minolingual second‐language class and the other in a traditional bilingual‐education model in the city of Oslo, Norway. The background of attempts at bilingual education in the Norwegian context is presented, and some aspects of bilingual education, bilingual pedagogy and research‐based perspectives on the role of bilingual education in subject‐matter acquisition is discussed. On the basis of an empirical study of the teaching situation of linguistic‐minority students it is concluded that linguistic‐minority students profit from bilingual mathematics teaching. The empirical research results indicate that linguistic‐minority students (LMSs) with a bilingual‐education (BE) background can achieve as good or better results in mathematics as monolingual students. The strength of bilingual education can therefore be said to reside in the favourable conditions that it creates for the comprehension of linguistic‐minority students of the content taught. By creating favourable conditions bilingual subject‐matter teaching also fulfils minorities’ expectations of participating in content‐area instruction: to understand what is being communicated in subject‐matter teaching and to learn what is normally expected to be learned in subject‐matter teaching. It is therefore legitimate to argue for bilingual education on pedagogical grounds without the support of old‐fashioned anthropological or psychological arguments.     

物理实验的双语教学

阐述将双语教学运用于物理实验教学之中的实践过程，描叙在双语物理实验教学中的三种教学模式，即保持型、过度型和沉浸型模式，指出双语教学不仅传授物理实验的基础知识、基本技术和基本技能，同时给予学生应用英语的机会，掌握物理实验的专业英汉术语；在此基础上，训练学生用双语思维能力获取物理实验知识，从而达到培养学生创新意识和创造力的目的。     

双语学习者潜在认知能力与双语教学

在世界双语教育发展中,学习者的双语能力与认知能力的发展一直为人们所关注。人们对两者的关系经历了从消极负面的认识到积极正面的认识的变化过程。其代表就是双语学习下的认知的＂分离的潜在能力模式＂（SUP）与＂共同的潜在能力模式＂（CUP）,尤其后者作为国外双语教育的重要理论之一,对少数民族地区开展的双语教学在理论上有着不可忽视的借鉴作用。

随着高校国际化进程的快速推进,双语教学已成为教育部所倡导的一种教学模式,也是与教育改革发展的必然趋势。但是,由于推进时间尚短,其中涉及的许多问题值得我们去探索与研究。本文主要针对信息与计算科学专业的数字图像处理课程,就双语教学中所涉及的诸如教学模式、教材选取、课堂组织及授课等问题进行了初步的探索和研究。     

新疆双语教育实现科学发展的对策研究

近些年是新疆双语教育事业发展最好最快的时期,但仍难以满足少数民族学生日益增长的教育需求。新疆的双语教育,必须继续保持科学发展的势头,坚定不移地加大双语教育的发展力度,加快高素质的双语师资队伍建设,建立科学的课程体系和评价标准,积极推进双语教育的现代化进程,不断提高双语教学的教育质量。     

Bilingual-bicultural models of literacy education for deaf students: considering the claims

As Carolyn Ewoldt (1996) points out '[M]uch has been written of late about the viability of a bilingual focus in deaf education.' While these writings are necessary to the ongoing pedagogical dialogue in the field, much of the rhetoric suffers because, rather than truly adopting a 'holistic perspective', arguments and positions focus only on selected aspects of the relevant theoretical and research information. If proponents of bilingual education for deaf children truly rely on 'research on the benefits of native sign language and from theoretical and research support coming from other disciplines' (Ewoldt, 1996, p. 5) to support their claims, then these research and theoretical supports must be examined as comprehensively, and holistically, as possible. Weaving together only a few threads of theory and research does not create the fabric for a pedagogical position that can withstand close scrutiny and analysis.In this article, we will touch on some of the major claims made in explications of bilingual models of literacy education for deaf students (Baker, 1997; Livingston, 1997; Mashie, 1995; Mason & Ewoldt, 1996). Our goal is to broaden the scope of the discussion on some of the major arguments and to encourage an expanded dialogue in this ongoing debate. It is not our aim to argue against the concept of bilingual education for deaf students nor to advocate the exclusion of native sign languages from the classroom. Rather, we support the concept of a bilingual education for deaf students with native sign languages playing a key role; however, we contend that the model as it is currently conceived requires further scrutiny and analysis.     

双语学前教育专业《学前儿童科学教育》教学现状及改进策略——以昌吉学院为例

科学素养是国家公民必须具备的素养之一,高等师范双语学前教育专业学生的科学素养,直接影响着幼儿园科学实验活动的开展,关系到幼儿的科学素养能否全面发展,也标志着幼儿教师专业技能的水平高低。但是,我们在《学前儿童科学教育》课程教学的实施过程中发现,双语学前专业的大学生普遍感觉课程理论色彩太强,缺乏实践操作性,枯燥乏味无趣,想要提升双语学前专业大学生的科学技能和科学素养就变得非常困难。为此,针对双语学前教育专业大学生的学习问题进行了问卷调查,并根据调查和研究,提出了改进的措施和策略。
