中考课内文言文阅读测试研究

2002年中考80%以上的试卷取材于课内,看来今年也不会锐减,还是要研究取材于课内的测试。笔者统计了40套2002年中考试卷课内选段的文言文阅读测试题,测试项目情况如下:此外,默写(阅读段中的填空)有2份试卷,改正别字、语言运用、注音、断句、句式特点分析各1份。测试项目大体是这些,我们主要讨论表格中的10项。在这些测试项目中除了综合性题目外,大都是记忆性或导向记忆的题目。释词、作家作品是记忆性的,这是毫无疑问的,其他的其实也是。考译句,学生就要背译义;考句子含义,学生就要背句子含义;评价,照理说是不需要背的,实际情况是,今年考了,…     

大学英语交际性阅读题型的设计

英语阅读在外语教学和测试中必不可少,阅读测试项目在期末考、高考、四级及托福等各级英语考试中占很大比例的分值,题型测试方式也不断得到完善。根据交际性测试的理论、原则和特点,作者对大学英语阅读测试大胆构想,尝试通过增设语境的阅读与口试结合、阅读与写作题型实现交际性测试。

现代文阅读能力的考查,被列为高考语文试卷的独立测试项目发轫于1984年,经过10余年的实践和完善,测试题目(选择、填空、简答、复位、排列、图表、句式转换等)越来越符合阅读规律,使阅读能力考查的信度和效度更具客观性。

Computer-Adaptive Testing of ESL Reading Proficiency

With the advent of modern computer technology,there have been growing efforts in recent years to computerize standardized tests,including the popular Graduate Record Examination(GRE),the Graduate Management Admission Test(GMAT) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL).Many of such computer-based tests are known as the computerized adaptive tests,whose major feature is that,depending on their performance in the course of testing,different examinees may be given with different sets of items(questions).In doing so,items can be efficiently utilized to realize maximum accuracy for estimation of examinee’s ability. In this short paper we will introduce briefly the computer-adaptive test(CAT).The application of CAT to the assessment of reading comprehension in a second language will also be illustrated in this paper.The advantages and disadvantages will be analyzed,based on which some recommendations will be given for future study.     

精读课研究性教学中的词汇检测手段探析

在精读课的研究性教学中,词汇检测是检验词汇教学效果的重要途径,同时也承担着培养学生在语言学习过程中独立地发现问题、分析问题和解决问题能力的任务。文章根据高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲对于本科英语专业学生词汇习得的要求,从忻州师范学院基础阶段英语专业学生的实际水平出发,介绍了几种适合本院学生的效果较好的词汇检测手段,如猜词游戏、限时创作、自由联想、英汉互译、分类收集等。     

六级英语阅读能力的培养及应试技巧

本文根据个人的平时教学经验,分析了六级考试阅读的特点,提出了如何培养学生六级英语阅读的能 力,及学生如何应付六级英语阅读考试的技巧。旨在帮助学生了解阅读及阅读考试的特点,提高学生的阅读能力。     

Reading achievement and reading self-concept – Testing the reciprocal effects model

Although there is a vast amount of research on reading motivation, evidence for bidirectional associations between reading self-concept and reading achievement is still missing, whereas there is compelling empirical evidence that suggests reciprocal effects between academic self-concept and achievement in other domains. This paper aimed to rigorously test reciprocal effects between reading self-concept and reading achievement within a longitudinal design comprising four waves of data collection. Drawing on a sample of N = 1508 secondary school students, results of structural equation modeling yielded support for reciprocal effects between reading self-concept and reading achievement. Strong support was found for the skill-development hypothesis, i.e. achievement predicting self-concept. Moreover, the self-enhancement hypothesis (self-concept predicting achievement) was corroborated in early years of secondary school. Thus, to best support poor readers, reading skills should perhaps be fostered by boosting the reading skill itself and reading self-concept, the latter particularly at the beginning of secondary school.     

英语阅读测试的效度研究

阅读测试的目的是测量学生阅读能力。要达到阅读测试的目的,就必须保证其测试的效度。提高阅读测试的效度就成为保证阅读测试成功的重要方面。从阅读理解的实质和阅读技能出发,分析提高阅读测试效度应注意的问题以及对外语阅读教学正面回波效应。     

The Effects of Timed and Untimed Testing Conditions on the Reading Comprehension Performance of Adults with Reading Disabilities

This study examined the effects of extra time on the reading comprehension performance of a heterogeneous group of adults with reading disabilities. Sixty-four adults participated. A clinic that assesses learning disabilities identified 22 as reading disabled, and 42 as normal readers. The 64 adults took a reading comprehension test under both timed and untimed conditions. Other skills measured included vocabulary, word reading, non-word reading, spelling, arithmetic, and short-term memory. Under timed conditions, there were significant differences between the participants with reading disabilities and the normally achieving participants. All of the reading disabled participants in the present study benefited from extra time, but the normally achieving readers performed similarly under the timed and untimed conditions. Further, in the untimed condition, the performance of the individuals with a less severe reading disability was not significantly different that of the Average readers. The study suggests that extra time during testing is an appropriate accommodation to help individuals begin to compensate for reading disabilities.     

语篇分析在英语阅读理解测试中的重要作用

阅读理解测试是各种英语测试的主要评估手段之一，它的测试范围包括句子水平的语言能力和话语水平的语言能力。语篇分析在阅读理解测试中起到很重要的作用。因此，教师在运用交际法进行阅读理解教学时，应重视语篇分析的教学。     

浅谈阅读的测试方法对测试结果的影响

因为测试不仅是评价教学成果的很重要的手段,而且也会为未来的英语教学提供反馈信息。因此,对英语测试的研究是很有必要的。本文以英语阅读测试为研究对象,探讨了多项选择题和简答题两种不同的测试类型对英语阅读理解测试结果的影响。该研究的被试是112名非英语专业一年级学生。论文除了对被试进行了两次不同题型的测试外,还对他们应对不同题型题目时的答题状态、平时英语阅读的习惯等问题以问卷形式进行了调查。通过这两种研究手段论证了两种不同的测试方法各自的优缺点,以及他们对阅读理解测试的结果影响。希望本次研究对其以后的大学英语阅读方面的教学能够产生相应的指导意义。     

Reading Testing and Its Validity——with the analysis on some CET—4 sample tests

In this paper,the author discusses reading testing and its validity,and the requirements of reading to test takers as well as the principles which determine the validity of reading testing. By analyzing two GET - 4 model test( reading section), he shows how to make a test of great validity so as to ensure the accuracy and objectiveness of a test.
