The article describes the system of evaluation and accreditation of higher education which is being developed in Ukraine. Although the activities of quality control and accreditation are centralized around the activities of the Inter‐branch Accreditation Commission (IAC), the intention is to decentralize them as soon as possible. The results so far have been positive. The Ukrainian government wishes to create a higher education system fully compatible with the higher education systems of other European countries and therefore wishes to develop its evaluation and accreditation system in co‐operation with similar activities in other countries. 相似文献

Historically the Spanish university has been closely tied to the European elitist model, devoted to culture, pure science and research. More recently it has found itself facing the necessity of answering the demands made ‘by economic development. The socio‐cultural changes and the advances taking place in the country during the 1960s have produced an explosion in the student population and in the number of those from the lower social strata who are demanding higher education. A widespread policy of scholarships which developed in the 1970s resulted in the university's becoming accessible to those who previously did not have the financial means. But these positive developments are the cause of difficulties which face Spanish higher education. They are analysed in the following article written for “Higher Education in Europe” by Professor Julio R. Villanueva, former Rector of the University of Salamanca and former President of the Spanish Rectors’ Conference. Professor Villanueva is the current Chairman of the CEPES Advisory Committee. 相似文献

Although the formal evaluation of higher education by state authorities has a long history in Russia, the creation of a system of accreditation began in 1990 in order to meet the challenge of the setting up of private institutions of higher education. There are two kinds of accreditation: state accreditation and public accreditation. This article stresses the former because of the two types it is the most developed. Its objectivity is assured through the use of computerized procedures and visualization. Moreover, the use of computerization permits the simultaneous evaluation of higher education institutions and in general responds rapidly to changing conditions in the Russian Federation. 相似文献

Spain was 1 of the 17 countries that participated in the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement’s Teacher Education and Development Study in Mathematics ( TEDS-M 2008). In this paper, we explore and describe the structure of Spanish primary mathematics teacher education programs. We analyzed the documents collected from the 48 sampled Spanish institutions that participated in TEDS-M. Our approach to the syllabus analysis focused on the established content dimension of curriculum in educators’ syllabi. These contents are structured into 4 knowledge domains—school mathematics, advanced mathematics, general pedagogy, and mathematics pedagogy—and categorized into subjects and topics. The results show that Spanish teacher education programs are diverse across institutions, but follow a basic structure that emphasizes the teaching of general pedagogy subjects. 相似文献
