经济全球化是科技进步和世界交往扩大与深化的必然产物 ,但是从经济体系来说 ,是资产阶级在按照自己的面貌为自己创造世界。经济全球化进程不能解决资本主义的内在矛盾 ,因此经济全球化的发展将最终摆脱资本主义的羁绊而与社会主义相联系。经济全球化的最终实现就是资本主义的历史终结

经济全球化与社会主义的关系问题是历史唯物主义面临的新问题。在对历史哲学的反思和对人类社会历史发展中东西方社会形态差异的比较中，可以清楚地认识到社会主义社会在人类历史发展过程中的地位。社会主义和资本主义都是继封建社会之后的社会形态，东西方社会形态的差异是在历史发展中形成的，这种差异在20世纪扩展为社会主义与资本主义的两极对立，经济的全球化与这种两极对立并不相矛盾。坚持社会主义是中国积极参与世界经济全球化进程的必然选择。
