A conceptual framework for assessing student motivation and self-regulated learning in the college classroom is presented. The framework is based on a self-regulatory (SRL) perspective on student motivation and learning in contrast to a student approaches to learning (SAL) perspective. The differences between SRL and SAL approaches are discussed, as are the implications of the SRL conceptual framework for developing instruments to assess college student motivation and learning. The conceptual framework may be useful in guiding future research on college student motivation and learning.  相似文献

Using data from a nationally representative, longitudinal survey of college graduates, this study examines student transition from college to their chosen career paths and identifies factors influencing college graduates’ choosing an occupation related to ones’ undergraduate major. Within the context of expanded econometric framework a wide range of variables are considered, including monetary and nonmonetary costs and benefits as well as cultural and social capital measures. Using multinomial logit regression analyses, the results suggest positive career outcomes associated with individuals who have an occupation closely related to their college major, such as a better income profile and greater job satisfaction. Major-based differences are also examined between STEM and non-STEM graduates, and patterns of changes are documented for 10 years after graduation. An important perspective offered by this study is to consider career outcome as an extended definition of institutional effectiveness and student success. Based on the empirical findings, policy implications are discussed with the hope of bringing attention and improvement to the relationship between the higher educational system and the labor market.  相似文献

独立学院在我国高等教育服务供不应求的背景下产生,并获得了长足发展,但独立学院所提供的高等教育服务质量如何呢?笔者以湖南省为例,选取湖南省3所独立学院,对其学生进行教育消费满意度调查,并与其母体公立高校的学生对比,结论是独立学院学生教育消费成本偏高,而满意度普遍偏低。文章探讨了导致这一问题的原因,并提出了提高学生教育消费满意度的措施。  相似文献

在文献检索和专家咨询基础上编制出的高校后勤学生满意度量表,是否可信?通过计算494个样本的Cronbachsα系数、折半信度系数可以检验量表的信度,运用因子分析法可以检验量表的效度。结果表明,高校后勤学生主观满意度量表5个维度19个项目都具有良好的测量性能。  相似文献

在高等教育大众化阶段,独立学院因其独特的优势得到了快速发展。作为一种新型的高等教育机构,我国独立学院的发展模式和办学机制具有鲜明的特点,特别是法人财产权制度有效界定了独立学院在混合所有情况下的产权,及基于产权所产生的各种权利,是民间资本介入的法律保障。独立学院的持续发展迫切需要创新与规范的和谐统一。独立学院发展的关键在于还其民办、独立、优质的本色,在办学目标、投资回报、管理方式、治理结构、人才培养和筹资方式等方面进一步优化。  相似文献

Many theories on college retention recognize the significance of student satisfaction as a positive factor in students’ persistence. Yet, there are few theories that address the relationship of degree program satisfaction to study behaviour and dropout. This paper explores the impact of degree program satisfaction on academic accomplishment and dropout. The impact of degree program satisfaction was studied within a multitheoretical framework. The results of the study show that student accomplishment not only depends on differences in academic ability but also on degree program satisfaction. Decreased degree program satisfaction appears to diminish both study motivation and study behaviour. The authors discuss some implications for current educational practice.  相似文献

运用自行编制的“学习动机量表”和“学习满意度量表”,考察了高职院校学生学习动机与学习满意度之间的关系。研究显示高职院校学生学习动机认同程度由高到低依次为职业取向、求知进取、外界期望和外部刺激;学习满意度由高到低依次为人际关系、教师教学、学习成果、教学管理和学习环境。通过相关分析与多元回归分析可知,高职院校学生学习动机与学习满意度之间具有显著性正相关,并且学习动机对学习满意度具有预测力,即学生学习动机越强,对其学习满意度评价越高。  相似文献

为了解高校教师工作投入状况及工作资源对高校教师工作投入的影响作用机制,采用问卷调查法对浙江省9所高校287名教师进行了调查。结果表明:高校教师的工作投入水平较好,工作投入及活力和专注维度得分在教龄差异上显著,并呈现两头高、中间低的“U”型特征,工作投入及其三个维度得分在对收入满意程度上差异显著,并随着对收入满意程度的增高呈上升趋势;工作资源、心理资本对工作投入均具有显著的正向影响;心理资本在工作资源与工作投入之间起部分中介作用。  相似文献

目的:考察维吾尔族大学生生活满意度的发展特点及与文化认同的关系。方法:采用生活满意度量表和维吾尔族大学生文化认同问卷对200名维吾尔族大学生进行测量。结果:维吾尔族大学生的生活满意度在年级上存在显著差异,宗教、语言和国家认同对生活满意度的解释率是14.2%。结论:维吾尔族大学生的生活满意度呈中等水平并随年级的升高而下降,宗教认同、国家认同和语言认同对生活满意度有一定的影响。  相似文献

为了考察大学生领悟社会支持与生活满意度之间的关系,本文采用《领悟社会支持量表》(PSSS)和《生活满意度量表》(SLS)对368名被试大学生进行问卷调查。结果如下:(1)领悟社会支持和生活满意度在人口学变量上的分析表明,性别在领悟社会支持及其各要素上存在主效应;性别和专业在家庭支持上存在交互效应;专业在生活满意度上存在主效应。(2)领悟社会支持和生活满意度的相关分析表明,大学生的生活满意度与领悟社会支持总分、家庭支持、朋友支持及其他支持均呈显著正相关。(3)生活满意度对领悟社会支持及各因素的回归分析表明,家庭支持、朋友支持和其他支持均能显著预测大学生的生活满意度。通过分析,得出如下结论:大学生领悟社会支持是大学生生活满意度的重要影响因素。  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to examine factors predictive of college students' academic stress. Three hundred seven undergraduate students (179 men, 128 women) participated in the study. Results indicated that female college students had higher academic stress than did male college students. Bivariate correlations and multiple regression analyses revealed that life satisfaction, locus of control, and gender were significant predictors of academic stress. Directions for future research and implications for counselors are discussed.  相似文献

This study examines the relationships between participating in learning communities and student engagement in a range of educationally purposeful activities of first-year and senior students from 365 4-year institutions. This article focuses on counseling research in the community college context. The article suggests the need for a robust community college knowledge base, describes some limitations of the current community college literature, and suggests a framework for more effective work in this area. The authors’ own experiences and selected examples of published studies are used as illustrations of the hurdles encountered and solutions available when examining counseling theories, practices, and outcomes in 2‐year settings.  相似文献

探讨大学生隐性自恋与恋爱满意度的关系.采用自恋人格问卷和洛克-华莱士婚姻(恋爱)关系调试测定对内江师范学院334名大学生进行问卷调查.方差分析表明,大学生隐性自恋存在性别、年级、专业的差异,表现为男生比女生更隐性自恋,低年级隐性自恋明显高于高年级,文科和艺体生隐性自恋明显高于理科生;相关分析表明,大学生隐性自恋与恋爱满意度存在显著负相关,其中隐性自恋的易感质、特权感与恋爱满意度均存在显著的负相关,而自我钦羡与恋爱满意度存在低的负相关;回归分析表明,隐性自恋可以负向预测恋爱满意度.  相似文献

Investigators compared counseling outcomes among nonpaid graduate-level trainees and professional staff at a college counseling center. Counseling outcomes for 331 college student participants were measured using the Outcome Questionnaire 45.2 (OQ45.2), employing a pretest–posttest design. The two groups of service providers did not differ significantly (p = .179; α > .05). A unique aspect of this study was the statistical control for the clients’ readiness to change. The implications for practice in college counseling centers suggest the use of graduate-level trainees as effective counseling providers and a method to cope with high demand for services.  相似文献

利用生活满意度问卷和体育生活方式问卷,以安徽省575名在职高校教师为调查对象,从体育需要、体育行为、体育锻炼场所、体育锻炼项目和体育消费等方面,对安徽省高校教师体育生活方式和生活满意度关系进行研究,结果表明,经常参加体育活动的高校教师生活满意度得分高于不经常参加体育活动的教师;在体育行为方面,不同体育锻炼频次和时间的教师总体生活满意度以及各个维度的生活满意度具有显著性的差异,且体育锻炼的频次和时间与生活满意度呈正相关;安徽省高校教师体育消费在500元以上的生活满意度最高,进一步说明了经济是生活满意度的重要影响因子。  相似文献
