当我并不完美

At my primary school,I was one of the smartest kids there.I never studied,but always got near perfect scores on all my tests and 1)quizzes.I was a child 2)genius,at least in my mind.I was also a 3)prodigy in music according to myself.I could 4)carry a tune better than almost everyone else in my school.I was pretty sure that once I got to sixth grade,everyone including my teachers would be 5)amazed by me. But actually,they weren't.     

Life Changes on the Day

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. As I was walking, 1 saw some kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.

Peristeri means a clove in Greek. It's also the name of the area I was staying while I was visiting my grandmother's family in Athens, Greece. Surrounded by a myriad of unfamiliar faces, jetlagged and exhausted, I tried to make sense of all the buzzing conversations going on around me. Sitting on the veranda of my grandmother's sister's home in Peristeri, I studied the faces of my relatives; I barely knew any of them at the time, and the newness of my surroundings captivated me, regardless of my knee-trembling sleepiness.……

On Being a Minolity Of One

When I first went to China to teach English I was at a rural school in the south. The closest city was Conghua, with about eighty-five thousand people. I liked to go there on my one day off each week to buy fruit and other things to have in my dorm at the school. Sometimes, I would go with one of the other foreign teachers but many times I would go alone and I would be the only westerner in the city, a minority of one.

Psychology of Language Classroom Practice

This paper is based on my personal observation and context, as well as some implications inspired trom theones, First, I shall give an evaluation of traditional language classroom practice I am familiar to. Second, relating to some implications in the theories of socialcultural psychology, I shall discuss some principled ways in which the classroom practices I have described and evaluated might be modified in order that we could enhance the effective opportunities for social and individual learning processes. I shall also provide my suggested structure of a lesson, in which some practices are implemented in this language classroom. Last but not the least, I shall give my reflection on how my own psychology of learning has been developed since I arrived at the university to begin my English teaching.
