Taku Manawa/My Human Rights,a Case Study in Partnership: Waikato Museum Working with the Human Rights Commission

Abstract Under the Human Rights Act, the Human Rights Commission is responsible for education and advocacy about human rights in New Zealand. In order to reach more people and ensure human rights education is ongoing, the commission initiated a human rights community development approach, creating the Taku Manawa (My Human Rights) program. Representatives from key community organizations were selected for a regional pilot program. These representatives were then trained in the knowledge and ability needed to undertake human rights advocacy and implement this advocacy in their communities. This paper explains how the Waikato Museum was first identified as a key community organization or a “human rights museum.” Exploring the relationship with the Human Rights Commission and leaders from local and national community organizations, this paper also examines how Taku Manawa has encouraged positive social change and greater awareness of human rights issues through the Waikato Museum’s community events, public programming, and exhibition planning.

<正>根据中丹文化交流协议,每年有三名中国专家受邀赴丹讲学。1996年2月丹麦国政府正式照会中国,邀请南开大学曾凡(范曾)、武汉测绘大学陈军和本人赴丹麦讲学,一切费用由对方负责。我在丹麦逗留了近一个月,先后到哥本哈根大学和奥尔胡斯大学讲学,并参观了一些景点,与丹社会多有接触,给我留下深刻而美好的印象,仔细观察其社会也让人颇有感触。     

印象南非

<正>2017年9月,"金砖国家"首脑峰会在中国厦门举办,我读到上海国际问题研究院的专家9月7日发表的文章《中国与南非经贸合作呈现三"度"特征》。此文写道:"南非作为金砖国家中唯一的非洲国家,长期以来对非洲大陆具有重要影响。……由于历史和政治原因,新中国和南非建交相对较晚,两国迟至1998年才正式建立外交关系。虽然同其他金砖国家相比,中国和南非建交是最晚的,但两国关系的发展水平和取得的成绩并不落后,相反颇为可圈可点……"这篇文章,使我想起与南非有关的一些往事。     

在上戏“入戏”的日子

<正>1973年上半年的那场考试,就这样决定了我十八岁以后的人生。但那时自己身在其中,并不完全清楚命运之手的拨弄。我的入学通知书在开学前几个月就发到公社了,但公社没有及时送到我的手里。我还是日复一日地在生产队劳动,参加上戏艺考的那段从未有过的光鲜生活,像一个白日梦般地过去了,我的心也恢复了平静。这期间还有公社文化站的人来找过我,问我愿意不愿意调到公社广播站去工作,后来不知为何又不提了。过了一段时间,传说上面有"精神",     

高校图书馆的文化胜任力之我见

高校扩招、数字图书馆的利用使高校图书馆面临着文化差异与资源利用之间的矛盾。国外图书馆界公认,增强图书馆行业及其从业人员文化胜任力是解决这一矛盾的最有效的手段。研究我国高校图书馆的文化胜任力具有重要意义。参考文献8。     

支化产业背景下的制播分离解析——以上海文广新闻传媒集团的制播分离为例

本文结合2009年10月上海文广传媒集团的制播分离,分析了制播分析的产业经济理论及现实来源,通过梳理中国广播电视新闻业的体制及现实,认为中国广播电视行业已经走向了一个更加纵深发展的阶段——电视台内部把节目制作与播出机构相对分立,在成本核算的基础上模拟市场运作。     

Cultural studies and the African Global South

ABSTRACT

Cultural studies exhibits multiple derivations from different historical conjunctures and places. This essay examines three instances of cultural studies emanating from within Africa, in relation to the field in the North Atlantic. What a “Southern” lens offers the North are different ways of making sense and a transnational framework that enables peer-to-peer conversations. This transe/trance quality is explained via a discussion of the scientifically unexplainable, superstition, and the noumenal. The immateriality of money and its associated human performances as reified by New York stock exchanges is the example through which transnational theoretical hybridity is examined.

清代前期的九江关及其商品流通

九江地处长江中下游之交,上通川楚,下至江浙,又是鄱阳湖、赣江水系与长江的交汇点,地理位置十分重要。明清两代,九江都是长江沿线的重要税关和流通枢纽。本文主要依据中国第一历史档案馆所藏关税档案,对清代前期的九江关及其商品流通作一初步考察。九江在历史上开发较早,汉代即已建城。明清两代九江均为府城,其城“西北临江,南接澄湖,东逼老鹳塘,东西纵五里,南北横四里”,城周１２里①。嘉靖年间九江已有１８坊,大街８条,火巷２８条,其中分布于西门之外有湓浦、清平、通慧、通津、揽秀等五坊三街２０巷②,在城外沿江一带形…
