In this paper we discuss an approach to the teaching of information technology law to higher education computing students that attempts to prepare them for professional computing practice. As information technology has become ubiquitous its interactions with the law have become more numerous. Information technology practitioners, and in particular specialists in the newer roles of computer forensic analyst and computer forensic expert witnesses are increasingly affected by the law. In this paper we review the development of the subject of information technology law and consider the issues of design, content and delivery of such modules to undergraduate computing students.  相似文献

人类社会已进入了信息时代,以光纤通信技术、交互式网络技术、多媒体技术、智能计算机技术为代表的信息技术构成了信息高速公路的科学技术基础.信息高速公路又称国家信息基础设施,它是指数字化大容量光纤通信网络.用于政府机构、企业、高校、科研机构和家庭的计算机联网,它以光纤电缆为"公路",集电脑、电视、电话为一体的多媒体系统为"汽车",以各种图文、声信息为"货物",高速进行运输,形成遍布全国的高速信息网.党中央在十五大确定了科教兴国的战略目标,教育部提出分三个层次推进我国的信息教育:(1)以计算机多媒体为核心的教育技术在学校的普及与应用;(2)组织学校上网,利用网上资源;(3)开办远程教育,提供广泛的学习资源,不断满足社会成员接受终身教育的要求.全球性的信息高速公路的建成和实施,使人类进入了一个崭新的信息时代,同时也给教学从教师、教学模式、教学技术到教学内容带来巨大的发展和挑战.  相似文献

Counseling theory tends to be White, Western and male in origin and orientation. Culture-specific counseling is proposed as an alternative to cross-cultural and multicultural approaches. In the culture-specific approach, we start with the culture and its peoples and search out natural helping styles. Rather than transforming Western theory to fit a new culture, the effort is to focus on the specifics and needs of that culture. This preliminary study applies anthropological constructs and the methods of microtraining seeking to discover a more culturally sensitive approach to conceptualization of counseling theory, training in counseling skills and knowledge, and in the use of evaluative research techniques. This paper presents the concepts of culture-specific counseling with a case example from the African-Igbo culture.  相似文献

As a result of the desire for development, there has been a sudden influx of modern technology in oil rich but tradition steeped countries. This influx has prompted the teaching of modern technology similar to that of industrialized countries of the west. However, problems have arisen due to the already existing level of technological knowledge and vastly different social patterns in these societies. These problems which can impede the teaching of technology and affect development are illustrated and analysed. This paper presents EIKON, an integrated open educational environment used to support high-school technology courses. EIKON combines state-of-the-art information technologies, such as virtual reality, hypermedia and networking. Our pedagogical approach is constructivism and collaborative learning. Students using EIKON study the evolution of agricultural technology since the prehistoric times. The environment could be used as a starting point for the exploration of virtual reality microworlds and the discovery of multidisciplinary information, which relates to most of the courses taught in modern high-schools (history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, environmental care, ecological awareness etc). A case study with a sample of nineteen information technology high-school teachers reports on content, pedagogical, and software quality issues. The results indicate competence of multimedia information, very good instructional design, and very good software quality. Especially for virtual environments, all the teachers declared ease of orientation, but only the 26.3% declared ease in navigation using the navigation controls provided by the software.  相似文献

Research indicates that teachers’ conceptions of and approaches to teaching with technology are central for the successful imple-mentation of educational technologies in higher education. This study advances this premise. We present a 10-year longitudinal study examining teachers’ conceptions of and approaches to teaching and learning with technology. Nine teachers on an online Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Master of Pharmacy programme at a Swedish university were studied using a phenomenographic approach. Results showed clear differences between novice and experienced teachers. Although novice teachers initially held more teacher-focused conceptions, they demonstrated greater and more rapid change than experienced colleagues. Experienced teachers tended to exhibit little to no change in conceptions. Supporting conceptual change should, therefore, be a central component of professional development activities if a more effective use of educational technology is to be achieved.  相似文献
