项目教学法在改变我国部分高职院校不恰当的人才培养模式和课程设置、激发学生学习兴趣和学习自主性、拓宽学生的知识技能和实现教师角色转变等方面具有重要的作用。在实际教学过程中,林业类高职院校任课教师应按照“职业活动导向,能力本位”理念,按照认知规律、生物学规律以及职业成长规律组织安排教学内容,设计教学项目;根据教学过程与生产过程一致的原则安排教学进程,采取按资讯→计划决策→实施→归纳点评→布置作业五步骤实施教学单元。  相似文献

工程材料及成形技术基础系列课程是在学生工程创新能力的培养过程中起着其他课程无可替代的作用。然而,现有\"工程材料及成形技术基础\"课程体系存在着教学思想和目标对工程创新能力培养强调不足、课堂理论教学比重过大、实验和实践教学仍未能改变依附于理论教学的从属地位、缺乏课堂互动交流以及学生学习的积极性差等问题。针对以上问题,以学生为主体,以强化创新能力的培养为目标,以教材建设为基础,以实践教学改革为重点,以教学方法与考试方法的改革为手段对课程教学开展了实践改革,经过几年的建设,构建了集课堂理论教学、实验教学、课程设计、课外创新小组和创新基金项目培养的课程教学体系,提高了学生的工程创新能力和教学质量。  相似文献

高等教育的教育目的就是使学生得到全面发展,培养出品学兼优的有用人才。由于改革开放以来社会的大发展和高等教育的迅速扩张,医学院校已从单纯开设临床医学精品专业的院校逐渐成为拥有多学科、多门类的综合型院校。学校在发展中增加了对新兴行业适用性人才的培养。本文就医学院校开设公共事业管理专业进行了客观分析,提出了办好此类专业的策略并对未来发展进行了展望。  相似文献

就"教"与"学"的关系而言,当前大致存在着"少教多学"、"先学后教"、"以学定教"、"教学合一"、"教学相长"五种范型。其中",少教多学"主要表征为一种批判"多教少学"的有效教学理念";先学后教"主要表征为一种突破"先教后学"的课堂教学模式;"以学定教"主要表征为一种反驳"以教定学"的教学活动逻辑;"教学合一"主要表征为一种针对"教学分离"的教学协同意识";教学相长"主要表征为一种超越"教学互损"的教师职业境界。探讨这五种关系范型的理论价值在于构建一个关于中国基础教育教学改革的总体认知框架。  相似文献

Results from a survey on faculty attitudes towards the teaching and research roles are presented. Attention is given to: (i) the perceived value of teaching (and teaching achievements) relative to research, (ii) approaches for research and teaching integration, (iii) the satisfaction gained from typical work tasks, and (iv) the importance of various work-life factors. Factors such as academic freedom, an intellectual work environment, flexible work hours, inspirational colleagues, and work diversity are found to be highly valued. Support from peers and colleagues is also seen as a key in learning to manage the different academic roles. A relatively low value is attributed to teaching achievements. Likewise, there is often little utilisation of teaching opportunities to support research work (other than senior-year research projects). Female faculty were found to give marginally a higher importance to teaching recognition and collaborative teaching opportunities. Based on the findings, general recommendations for supporting the teaching researcher are presented.  相似文献

Ph.D. programs train students to perform quality research but not necessarily to deliver quality undergraduate instruction. For students who want to develop such skills, and for universities interested in creating programs to combine broad disciplinary instruction with specialization in effective pedagogical practices, there is a Ph.D. alternative—the Doctor of Arts (D.A.). The D.A. is regarded as a Ph.D. equivalent and aims to better train students to be effective educators since the majority of academic positions are located at primarily undergraduate institutions, with substantially more faculty time consumed by teaching duties than research. A significant difference between traditional Ph.D. and D.A. students is the latter engage in scholarship of teaching and learning, through both topical seminars and participation in supervised teaching internships. Thirty years of job placement statistics gathered from Idaho State University D.A. programs indicate that graduates are well qualified to enter into faculty positions at a wide range of higher education institutions.  相似文献

This study examines a college-teaching award that uses a scholarship of teaching model focusing on learning outcomes. Through questionnaires the researcher examined two groups’ perceptions: award recipients and academic leaders. Respondents described the award and indicated the perceived effect on faculty and programs. Both groups highlighted faculty incentive to innovate for promoting student learning, a strong impact on performance evaluation, and recognition of exceptional teaching. Respondents recommended better communicating the award’s rigor and learning focus to increase its impact. Recipients reported the award’s influence on continued innovation, engagement in teaching scholarship, and leadership opportunities. Over half have presented their work in peer-reviewed venues.  相似文献

There is growing recognition of the complexity of academic work and the need for university and college faculty members to develop scholarly approaches to teaching and learning. While structured programs of study have been initiated for faculty to address these issues in various higher education contexts, very little research has investigated the theory–practice relationship of the scholarship of teaching and learning within a faculty certificate program context. This article presents a program development and evaluation framework to enhance the theory–practice integration of the scholarship of teaching and learning in such a program. Data suggest that a broad range of institutional and programmatic strategies can enhance the scholarship of teaching and learning in a faculty certificate program. A scholarly approach to teaching and learning is viewed as both an individual and social contextual process.Dr Harry Hubball and Dr Helen Burt are faculty members at the University of British Columbia, BC, Canada. Harry Hubball's research focuses on curriculum and pedagogy in university settings. He coordinates the UBC Faculty Certificate Program on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. 学习者通过学习的实践活动,不仅获得了具体的知识、技能,也形成了自己的学习信念。这些学习信念可能是外显的,也可能是内隐的;可能是系统性的,也可能是无系统的,各种信念之间虽然是矛盾的,却是学习者学习的社会实践活动在头脑中的反映,是活动、教育和文化背景共同作用的产物,不仅受个体本身因素(如学习和活动经验、认知发展水平)的影响,而且受个体所处环境(如家庭、学校和社会文化)的影响,这些因素相互作用,共同影响了学习者对学习信念的形成和发展。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The current K-12 Science Education framework and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in the United States emphasise the integration of engineering design in science instruction to promote scientific literacy and engineering design skills among students. As such, many engineering education programmes have developed curriculum materials that are being used in K-12 settings. However, little is known about the nature and extent to which engineering design skills outlined in NGSS are addressed in these K-12 engineering education programme curriculum materials. We analysed nine K-12 engineering education programmes for the nature and extent of engineering design skills coverage. Results show that developing possible solutions and actual designing of prototypes were the highly covered engineering design skills; specification of clear goals, criteria, and constraints received medium coverage; defining and identifying an engineering problem; optimising the design solution; and demonstrating how a prototype works, and making iterations to improve designs were lowly covered. These trends were similar across grade levels and across discipline-specific curriculum materials. These results have implications on engineering design-integrated science teaching and learning in K-12 settings.  相似文献
