众包出版对高校学术期刊出版模式的启示

以互联网为前提的众包模式,已应用于文化创意产业、图书馆、翻译以及地理信息采集等领域.本文基于众包模式的优势以及学术期刊众包评审案例,分析网络环境中出版流程碎片化、出版平台便捷化众包出版模式的可行性.认为高校学术期刊的众包出版需要有相应的机制与流程确保其工作效率和质量.在多媒体融合背景下,高校学术期刊众包出版模式可以为高校学术期刊提高社会效益和社会影响力,提供一个新的发展路径和出版模式.

通过阅读《黄禹锡论文如何逃过同行评议和编辑审查》一文,揭示办刊与审稿过程中应注意的问题,同时认识到我国医学期刊潜在的危险.呼吁有关部门应采取防范措施.     

Normative drift and self‐correction in scholarly book publishing: The case of Makerere University

University academics face multiple pressures to publish. These pressures emanate from contexts with different, often competing, social norms, which result in academics publishing for reasons that may run counter to accepted scientific practice. This paper asks what decisions are being taken by academics when it comes to their choice of scholarly book publisher. An analysis of books selected from more than 2,500 self‐reported scholarly publications produced by academics at Makerere University in Uganda from 2011 to 2017 shows that 31 scholarly books were published. Of these books, more than half (54%) were published by publishers that do not follow accepted scholarly publishing practice. Findings also show that there was a sharp decline in books published with suspect publishers in the second half of the 7‐year period. The article discusses possible reasons for the selection of suspect publishers and considers four factors that may account for the observable decline: (1) a cyclical downturn, (2) improved research management and reporting, (3) explication of the norms of science, and (4) self‐correction.

Health and Safety in the United Kingdom Higher Education Libraries: A Review of the Literature

The focus of this article is to review the literature relating to health and safety in UK Higher Education libraries. This will include an overview of the literature on accident theories and also the human element. Various key findings emerge from this analysis. Personal safety is achieved through self-responsibility, following guidelines and having a working knowledge of reporting procedures. A safety culture in the work environment is developed through a proactive approach on the part of management, the provision of information, training, and carrying out safety inspections. These inspections are aimed at preventing the environment from creating a situation where an accident could occur. There can never be a work environment in which no accidents will occur and best practice can only minimize the risk of accidents.

母语和英语的双语出版形式是新发展格局形势下的新需求,也是中文科技期刊实现稳定发展的有效路径。中文科技期刊应树立双语出版理念,积极探索适合自身发展的双语出版模式。《中华消化杂志》在实际探索中,坚持内容为王,积极与同行期刊合作,兼顾国内外读者需求,不仅注重原创论文的双语出版,还以中文全文或长摘要译文形式刊登我国学者在国外期刊发表的英文全文,并关注共识与指南的编译工作。建议在具体实践过程中,以英文全文来稿为主,中文稿翻译英文为辅,日常出版中重视英文长摘要撰写,围绕我国科研成果开展约稿和出版工作,借助多方平台发布,借力双语,强劲发展我国中文科技期刊,为实现汉语学术国际化不懈努力。

The story continues: an overview of the ‘Dissertations into Practice’ feature

The ‘Dissertations into practice’ feature began life in March 2012 with a dual aim: to encourage students, recent graduates and new professionals to write for publication and to highlight the impact of student research on policy and practice. This article reflects on the initiative and demonstrates that it has been extremely successful in achieving both aims. It highlights the diverse range of contributions to the feature so far and proves that student research can and does influence policy and practice. It also demonstrates that, with the right encouragement and support, students are willing and able to write for academic publication and that they gain a lot from the experience. A. M.     

医药科技期刊在应对SARS和COVID-19中出版模式与关注领域比较分析

利用中国知网数据库对2003年SARS疫情期间以及2020年COVID-19疫情期间科技期刊在助力疫情防控阻击战中的出版模式和关注领域进行了比较,着重从出版效率、发文结构、发文质量等角度进行了对比分析,并结合存在不足提出建议。结果显示,经过17年的发展中国科技期刊在应对突发公共卫生事件上已有了长足的进步,在国际疫情形势仍旧严峻的当下,要不断创新出版模式,继续坚定信心、提升能力,助力全球抗疫合作。     

国内农业科技资源共享研究的文献述评

通过对2004-2013年间有关农业科技资源共享研究的学术期刊论文进行检索、统计与文献内容分析,对农 业科技资源共享的概念范式、机制探讨、共享平台、基础建设、核心技术、相关政策等研究成果进行总结,以此指出 我国农业科技资源共享的研究特点与未来方向。

煤炭科技期刊编辑出版专业研究现状与对策建议——编辑人员发文情况的统计与分析

为了解我国煤炭科技期刊编辑部编辑出版专业研究水平与发展现状,采用文献计量学方法,以中国知网为检索平台,以作者单位(期刊编辑部)为检索词,依次对行业48种期刊编辑人员发表的编辑学论文数量、论文主题及期刊分布等情况进行统计分析.结果表明:近年来编辑人员发文量逐年增多,48种期刊编辑部共发表论文296篇,分布在75种期刊上;论文内容以编辑出版实践总结为主,编辑学研究水平偏低,对编辑出版前沿性问题,如文献计量学方法、数字出版、期刊产业化等热点内容研究较少.建议期刊主管(主办)单位、期刊编辑部及编辑自身3个主体通过完善政策、加强编辑业务培训、开展编辑出版研究项目等措施激励编辑人员撰写论文,以提高编辑业务水平和期刊质量.     

Shaping the professional landscape through research,advocacy and education – an Australian perspective

This article is the first in a new series in this regular feature. The intention of the series is to look at important global developments in health science libraries. Librarians will be invited to share with HILJ readers key initiatives in their country or region. These articles should serve as a road map, describing the key changes in the field and exploring factors driving these changes. We initiate this series with an article by three Australian librarians who use research findings to depict the evolving professional landscape in their country. The starting point of their analysis is a report completed in 2011 which looked into likely future workforce and education requirements for health library professionals. The authors trace the achievements since then, most notably in the areas of research, advocacy and education. Clearly, a great deal has been achieved leading to a greater return on investment. The authors maintain that the key to shaping the profession and enhancing the status of librarians is ongoing professional development. To this end, Australia is promoting a systematic, competency based health specialist certification. Finally, they identify trends impacting on health librarianship, such as the growing importance of research data management and consumer health literacy. JM

在分析我国现有学术期刊的媒体融合形态特征基础上,探讨当下期刊媒体融合的发展瓶颈,以“共享、多元、开放、互动、交融”的融媒体理念重构了期刊的平台、内容、媒体形式、评议体系、功能和编辑角色等,以充分提升学术期刊在媒体融合环境中的传播力和影响力.     

国内外古籍保护研究议题及其比较

文章对国内外古籍保护文献进行计量分析,从数量、时间、主题和学科领域分布角度呈现研究概况,在此基础上,从文献材料保护与修复、文献保护环境研究、文献保护技术(科技)、文献保护管理四个方向进行分析阐释。研究发现,国内外古籍保护主要研究方向初步成型,研究重点集中于材料和保护技术;考虑到国内外研究基础、研究情境和关联领域等的差异,宜借力图情档领域进行古籍保护学科建设,促进中华文化传承及创造性利用。     

国外 “旅游与信息技术”研究进展及启示

进入2000年后,国外“旅游与信息技术”研究领域出现了一些新的特点,对国外相关文献的分析发现,该领域的研究已从最初关注计算机技术的应用到关注互联网技术所引发的种种现象和问题,研究议题可划分为宏观和微观两大方面,在旅游网站评价、网上信息搜寻和产品购买等议题方面取得了令人瞩目的成果。     

城市中小学生信息素养现状调查与对策分析

本文对南京市6所中小学学生的信息素养的现状进行了调查,并就调查的统计结果进行详细分析,从中发现问题,并提出了改进和提高中小学信息素养教育的对策.
