和平教育：打破教育与战争的隐性结盟

和平具有普世价值。教育是通向和平的重要途径。然而,不容乐观的是,在中国学校教育中和平的主题并不彰显,教育与战争之间的隐性结盟还没有引起研究者充分的重视。暴力商业化和暴力娱乐化驱使大众传媒中暴力泛滥。和平教育的核心部分是防止战争和暴力的教育,中国和平教育包括人权教育、发展教育、生态环保教育、多元文化相互理解的教育等多个主题。倡导和平教育要求改变教育范式,反思和警惕现行学校教育中竞争主导、国家利益主导、人类中心主义主导的范式;从具体实施手段来看,冲突化解教育、性别敏感教育、文化敏感性教育等是学校和平教育的有效手段。     

Schools and war: urgent agendas for comparative and international education

A focus on conflict and education is one of the most pressing concerns of the current times, and yet the role of education in the perpetuation, or the mitigation, of international conflict is curiously underplayed and under‐researched. This paper looks firstly at the contributions that education makes to conflict, through the reproduction of inequality and exclusion, through perpetuation of ethnic or religious divisions, through its acceptance of dominant aggressive masculinities, through selection, competition and fear, and through distorted curricular emphases on narrow cognitive areas of learning. However, the paper also outlines some ‘possibilities for hope’, such as resilient schools, the impact of peace education initiatives and the rise of global citizenship education. It is argued that comparative and international education has a highly important role in establishing patterns of educational contribution to peace or conflict, and in dissemination of research to act as a lobbying force to influence education policy and practice. The paper outlines eight priorities, including alternative international studies focusing on ‘achievement’ in peace education; cross‐cultural or longitudinal studies of impact of peace education and war education; and tracer studies of why young people join fundamentalist organisations.

文章通过对淮南师范学院公共体育课程改革现状的调查,得出以下结论:(1)大多数大学生对公共体育课比较喜欢;(2)探究式教学与学生喜欢公共体育课程改革的程度有着密切的关系;(3)大学生希望公共体育课中增加实施探究式体育活动的机会。

军旅是文学的重要题材。和平时代的军旅文学常常表现和平时代的军人职业理想与社会现实的冲突。这种冲突往往表现出令人惋叹的悲剧性。战争与和平的相对性,使得和平时期的忧患意识和战争预备显得尤为重要,也使得一些身怀使命感和责任感的职业军人总是处于了无战事与随时戒备的矛盾状态中。和平的政治环境往往将这种状态简单化,使得和平时代身怀理想的军人深感挫折,甚至上演一出出人性或社会的悲剧。《第39天》就是这么一首和平时代却不失壮怀激烈的军旅故事中的英雄赞歌。     

An Affair to Remember: America's Brief Fling with the University as a Public Good

American higher education rose to fame and fortune during the Cold War, when both student enrollments and funded research shot upward. Prior to World War II, the federal government showed little interest in universities and provided little support. The war spurred a large investment in defence‐based scientific research in universities, and the emergence of the Cold War expanded federal investment exponentially. Unlike a hot war, the Cold War offered an extended period of federally funded research public subsidy for expanding student enrollments. The result was the golden age of the American university. The good times continued for about 30 years and then began to go bad. The decline was triggered by the combination of a decline in the perceived Soviet threat and a taxpayer revolt against high public spending; both trends culminating with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. With no money and no enemy, the Cold War university fell as quickly as it arose. Instead of seeing the Cold War university as the norm, we need to think of it as the exception. What we are experiencing now in American higher education is a regression to the mean, in which, over the long haul, Americans have understood higher education to be a distinctly private good.

形势与政策"课是高校思想政治理论课的重要组成部分,是对学生进行形势与政策教育的主渠道、主阵地,由于受到诸多因素的影响,《形势与政策》教学效果不佳,这就需要改进"形势与政策"课教学模式,构建"课堂讲授"+"专题讲座"+"教学实践活动"模式,增强课程实效性。     

Student voice and engagement: connecting through partnership

This paper draws on research conducted across an English higher education partnership to investigate the ways in which student voice was engaged in further education colleges offering university awards through partnership arrangements. Such collaborations are characterised by the marginal presence of higher education students in an environment that is dominated by further education structures, culture and practice. This provides challenges for both colleges and universities in developing higher education student identity and appropriate mechanisms of student engagement that comply with expectations within the higher education sector but also recognise the contextual situation of students within the college environment. It is argued that student partnership collaboration can be a positive driver in an increasingly marketised global environment, where student voice and feedback mechanisms are at the forefront of quality assessments and institutional reputation. An ideal types framework is suggested as a heuristic device for the evaluation of college strategies of engagement.

The contribution (or not) of UN higher education to peacebuilding: an ethnographic account

This paper examines the role of United Nations (UN) peace academics in teaching for peace within the UN higher education system, and questions what contribution, if any, UN peacebuilding education makes to the broader field of peace and conflict studies education, and in the lives of the people it touches. The study draws on ethnographic data collected over a six-month period at one UN university in 2015. The data collection period involved participant observation, interviews with faculty and postgraduate students, document analysis, and surveys with learners. Findings suggest tensions and contradiction in the university around issues of UN mimicry, Western-centrism, state domination, and institutional capitalism. Implications are briefly addressed and recommendations provided.

高校学生增值评价研究的思维方式呈现借鉴与批判并进的样态,即借鉴国外经验且抱有批判意识,同时开展本土化研究。其聚焦内容为增值评价工具与模型;其立论依据一方面来源于社会现实对高等教育改革的深度诉求,另一方面来源于成果丰硕的大学生发展理论;其新兴趋势导向实证调查和融合发展。国内高校学生增值评价研究需深入探讨理论根基的内在作用机制,构建多要素融合的增值评价模式,结合宏观研究与个案研究,加强面对大学生群体的实证调查。
