媒介素养的参与范式主张以受众为主导的媒介素养教育理念,适应了当前技术革命的发展。本文通过对媒介素养接触、认知、理解、评估四个维度的分析,指出参与范式能有效提升受众的媒介素养能力,有助于行使公民权利和履行公民义务。参与范式是媒介素养教育的新出路,赋权、引导和在线课堂是媒介素养教育成功的关键。  相似文献

在数字革命和网络化个人主义浪潮下,媒介信息、内容、价值和观点的复杂多变性和非透明性让传统的媒介素养受到了很大程度的挑战和削弱。数字时代的媒介素养要求媒介用户实现从扁平化、无否定的"单向度"到会思考、敢质疑、勇批判的"多维度"的蜕变,也就是数字化批判性媒介素养的形成。这种"多维度"主要体现在媒介认知、媒介参与、媒介再现等多方面。笔者认为,推动受众从单一性的否定到差异化认同的转变、重视公民意识的培养和主体性建构、强调媒介赋权和社会化参与,是形成数字时代具有多维度的批判性媒介素养的个性化"媒介人"的重要途径。  相似文献

Social media and online services with user-generated content (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube) have made a staggering amount of information (and misinformation) available. Government officials seek to leverage these resources to improve services and communication with citizens. Significant potential exists to identify issues in real time, so emergency managers can monitor and respond to issues concerning public safety. Yet, the sheer volume of social data streams generates substantial noise that must be filtered in order to detect meaningful patterns and trends. Important events can then be identified as spikes in activity, while event meaning and consequences can be deciphered by tracking changes in content and public sentiment. This paper presents findings from a exploratory study we conducted between June and December 2010 with government officials in Arlington, VA (and the greater National Capitol Region around Washington, D.C.), with the broad goal of understanding social media use by government officials as well as community organizations, businesses, and the public at large. A key objective was also to understand social media use specifically for managing crisis situations from the routine (e.g., traffic, weather crises) to the critical (e.g., earthquakes, floods).  相似文献

New media literacy (NML) skills are regarded as crucial for the 21st century. However, there is limited research on the factors affecting NML skills. A robust model was built for exploring the antecedents of NML. The model incorporated epistemological beliefs and social media use purposes. Individuals` purposes of social media use were found to have an effect on beliefs about information. Further, interactional and communicational use of social media makes epistemological beliefs more sophisticated. However, it is more likely to have naïve beliefs with the use of social media for making new friends. Also, the purposes of social media use and epistemological beliefs affect NML skills. Accordingly, interactional use of social media might contribute to justifying information, in turn, increasing NML skills. This study indicates that knowledge of social media use and epistemological beliefs enables us to largely understand the NML skills.  相似文献

Despite the potential of the uses and gratifications paradigm to explain the etiology of media uses and effects, most research to date has ignored the issue of etiology and has focused on creating motivation typologies. Recent advances in bio-behavioral research provide a new way to address the question of etiology. A survey of 285 adults showed that the biologically rooted individual difference behavior variable of temperament was a consistent and moderately strong causal factor in forming television use motivations. Distinct patterns of relationships between temperament and all television use gratifications were found, supporting the uses and gratifications paradigm. Particularly potent predictors of television use motivations were negative mood, low task orientation, and behavioral rigidity. These results point out the importance of future bio-behavioral etiological media uses and effects research.  相似文献

People are more and more using social media to express themselves about the different services that their governments are delivering. They can either provide positive or negative comments on government services. Hence, it becomes important for policy-makers to have the necessary tools to extract this valuable knowledge in a comprehensive way and that they may consider in their decision-making processes. This paper provides a generic framework, based on semantic analysis of text, to extract valuable data from social media in order to provide new information for government policy-makers. The proposed framework is based on a text semantic analysis tool that collects data from social networks and extracts valuable data to be presented to government policy-makers. The proposed framework is applied to analyze Facebook posts from a page that is managed by citizens in Tunisia.
