审美情趣的培养与语文教育

培养学生社会主义的道德品质和健康的全面发展的人格必须通过有目的的审美活动来实现,而审美心理的后天获得性,显示了语教学中审美教育的重要性,因此,语教育自然而然就成为培养学生审美情趣的有效途径。     

论躬行——培养个人道德意志的道德修养方法

躬行的首要阶段是"正心",亦即增强、扩充善的欲望和感情,减弱、消缩恶的欲望和感情,从而使善的行为动机克服恶的动机;躬行的中间阶段是"积善"与"改过",亦即不断确定和执行善的行为动机,不断改过迁善,积善而不是积恶;躬行的终极阶段是慎独.亦即在人虽不知而己独知的幽暗之中、细微之事也谨慎遵守道德,从而在任何情况下都遵守道德,致使遵守道德的行为恒久、稳定而成为习惯,最终实现自己的道德志向而成为一个有美德的人.     

经典重构:《恋爱中的女人》在中国的阐释

自从20世纪80年代<恋爱中的女人>进入中国读者视野以来,侯维瑞、阮炜、冯季庆、李维屏、漆以凯、徐崇亮、蒋家国、蒋承勇等学者围绕文本对现代工业文明的考量、对生与死的沉思、对性爱及两性关系的探索、对女性观的呈现以及文本结构、文本中的象征、文本语体等问题重新建构了文本意义和审美世界,形成了一个多声部的复调阐释话语世界.这不仅反映了中国当代文化语境的深刻转型,而且也折射出阐释者有着不同的期待视野,闪现阐释者的身影.     

Women Faculty of Color: Stories Behind the Statistics

In this qualitative study we address two primary research questions: What are the experiences of women faculty of color (WFOC) who departed the tenure track at predominantly White, research universities? Using the modified lens of the newcomer adjustment framework, what socialization factors may have contributed to the WFOCs’ departure? Through a longitudinal, in-depth examination of three WFOC who left their university prior to earning tenure, themes of gendered and racialized tokenization and isolation, a need for a more intrusive style of mentoring, and poor institutional fit were identified. Implications for future research on faculty members’ social identity and promising practices for faculty development are shared.     

Cultivating Care: Developmentally Reframing the Religious Nurture of Young Children

Decety et al. posited that family religiosity has a negative effect on children’s altruism. However, a constructive reading of developmental psychologists suggests that religious nurture can enhance young children’s moral development. Bloom and Harris offered evidence that infants and toddlers exhibit moral sensibilities and preschoolers engage the world through charitable epistemologies primed toward consensus and care. Engel provided insight into the role of curiosity in exploring difference in the world. Taken together, their findings suggest new ways that religious nurture might promote prosocial behaviors congruent with religious and social tolerance.

湘西情歌的色彩世界

使用色彩词是湘西情歌中非常普遍的现象,湘西情歌中普遍而大量地运用了红、黄、青(黑)等色彩词。其显著特点是:色彩词的运用绝不是可有可无的点缀和单为起兴而唱,而是将色彩词及其所借物品与爱情自然而然地融合在一起,使色彩的象征意义和审美情趣得到了充分地表现,增强了情歌的艺术魅力。比较起来,其他地区、省份很少有这样系列、普遍的高超之作。前人研究多未注意这种现象。湘西情歌中的色彩词具有独特的表征作用,主要表现在:秀色天成的审美观;纯熟多样的心理描写;健康高尚的恋爱观;能干高超的劳动技艺。     

Educating Against Extremism: Towards a Critical Politicisation of Young People

This paper is based on a recently published book, Educating Against Extremism (Davies, Educating Against Extremism, 2008), which explores the potential role of schools in averting the more negative and violent forms of extremism in a country. It examines the nature of extremism; identity formation and radicalisation; religious belief, faith schools and the myth of equal value; justice, revenge and honour; and free speech, humour and satire. The paper argues that religious fundamentalism, as well as state terrorism, needs to be addressed in schools. The argument in the book is for a greater politicisation of young people through the forging of critical (dis)respect and the use of a secular basis of human rights. Specific forms of citizenship education are needed, which provide skills to analyse the media and political or religious messages, but also enable critical idealism to be fostered.

从生态批评视域观照劳伦斯的小说创作,不难发现劳伦斯是一位具有生态前瞻意识的作家。劳伦斯在其小说《恋爱中的女人》中紧紧扣住“肮脏与黝黑”、“魔鬼与奴隶”、“欲望与死亡’’三个方面书写了由于生态危机而导致的生态美缺失,即自然生态的破坏、和谐社会生态的丧失和精神生态的失衡。蕴含着与生态整体主义、生态发展观、人与人和谐相处观及人格完善动力观等当代意义上的生态思想相契合的生态意识。     

Strengthening Homeless Parents with Young Children Through Meaningful Parent Education and Support

Homeless parents of young children confront several barriers to developing effective parenting skills and dispositions. Perhaps the major barrier is that of the negative stereotype that many people use to label them. They also often have not had positive parent role models and in many cases have had to deal with the issues of violence. Parent education and support strategies can play a key role in helping homeless parents develop positive and nurturing parenting skills.
