品格教育作为当前美国发展最快的教育运动,重新成为美国学校传授道德价值观的主要理论。论文概述了美国当代品格教育的内涵、特征、原则和方法;描述了品格教育运动在各类研究机构的推动下,其理论在学校德育实践中的进一步发展。借鉴美国品格教育运动有益尝试,确认道德教育中的核心价值观,整合各种有效道德教育资源,构建系统化的道德教育模式,加强德育理论和实践的相互联系,应成为我国当前德育改革主要举措。     

浅谈社会变迁与学校道德教育

在经济发展现代化、价值观念多元化的今天,学校德育环境发生了重大变迁,学校德育出现了三大典型的矛盾：学校德育守成与社会文化变迁的矛盾;学校德育价值整合趋势与多元文化的开放格局定位的矛盾;学校德育的他律特质与个性发展的自律倾向的矛盾。最后,在社会变迁这个大背景下,对我国学校德育如何走出困境提出建设性的意见和思路。     

Environmental concern,moral education and our place in nature

Some strands of environmental concern invite a radical re-evaluation of many taken for granted assumptions of late modern ways of life—particularly those that structure how we relate to the natural world. This article explores some of the implications of such a re-evaluation for our understanding of moral education by examining the significance of ideas of our place in nature that focus not on our location in some grand abstract system, but on our felt sense of place in the course of our daily existence. It will be argued that exploration of the anticipatory and ecstatic nature of such concrete emplacement reveals an underlying normative character to our encounters with nature, now experienced as an autonomous and essentially mysterious non-human other that both sustains and is sustained by places—places in which find ourselves and live out our lives. It is argued that this view foregrounds a notion of transcendence that leads to both a questioning of the anthropocentrism (i.e. its metaphysical basis) that informs many Western moral views and an acknowledgement of intrinsic value in nature, such that some current mainstream understandings of the character of moral sensibility and of moral education can no longer be regarded as adequate.

随着全球性环保运动的发展和可持续发展战略的实施,环境道德已成为21世纪公民必备的道德素质,环境道德教育也成为世界各国支持可持续发展战略的重要手段之一。针对我国新时期实施可持续发展战略、全面建设小康社会的需要和当前高等院校环境道德教育薄弱的现状,高等院校应采取切实措施,加强大学生的环境道德教育。     

Moral education the CHARACTERplus Way®

Traditional approaches to character education have been viewed by many educators as an attempt to establish self control within students to habituate them to prescribed behaviour and as nothing more than a ‘bits‐and‐pieces’ approach to moral education. While this is accurate for many character education programmes, integrated multi‐dimensional character education embraces both moral education and character formation. Students learn to identify and process social conventions within the core values of the school and community and have opportunities to learn practical reasoning skills in schools where character education is integrated into all aspects of the schooling process. Reported in this article are several studies, including two large‐scale experimental investigations, that show integrated character education results in an improved school environment, student pro‐social and moral behaviour, and reading and maths test scores. Schools become more caring communities; student discipline referrals drop significantly, particularly in areas related to bullying behaviour; and test scores in moderately achieving schools increase nearly 50%.

强化对学生的人格尊重的思考

"人的发展"已成为现代教育追求的"终极目的"。人格尊重是一个古老而又现实的话题,实现人格的健康发展是人类几千年来的美好追求。学生人格的形成发展要靠环境的熏陶,潜移默化的感染。教师的敬业、热情、平等的态度,有助于提高教育教学质量,有助于学生健康人格的形成,有助于培养全面发展的高素质人才。     

价值多元化背景下学校德育重建的研究及反思

通过对我国道德教育的变迁和西方道德教育的现状进行考察,对我国中小学学生价值观变化及学校德育环境进行文献分析和实地调研,我们从课程目标、课堂教学、班级建设、环境优化和教师专业发展诸方面展开了重建学校德育的尝试,并提出若干尚待深究的问题。我们的研究主要围绕如下相关联的核心问题展开：（1）我们处于什么样的价值多元背景下,这一背景的由来如何？（2）中小学学生身处这样的背景,价值观发生了什么样的变化？这些变化的环境原因是什么？（3）要应对这样的变化,学校德育应如何进行重建？（4）这样的背景及学校德育重建对教师的专业成长提出了哪些要求？     

明清“小学”德育环境建设浅论

明清“小学”的德育环境建设是指教育者主动创造具体的德育环境,以使受教育者受到熏陶、感染的一种德育途径。它包括“小学”的“硬环境”建设和“软环境”建设。前者指学校的选址、布局与教室的布置、安排等物化因素：后者指教师的选用、学生的日常活动要求等无形的,但又能时时处处让人感觉到的精神因素。其目的是为学生创造良好的“进德修业”环境,从而实现德育目标。明清“小学”的德育环境建设经验对当今中小学的德育工作有一定的借鉴意义。     

制度环境:道德教育的一个必要视角

道德具有鲜明的实践品格,本质上是实践的.制度构成了开展道德实践活动、在实践感悟中锤炼道德品质的公共秩序及外在环境.在道德教育中,制度环境是道德发展合目的性、合伦理性和合规律性的统一.在道德活动过程中,人类之所以在制度环境的设计上进行积极追寻与不懈努力,就是为了使制度环境能够更好地适应或满足成就人的德性与德行的道德诉求及道德超越.     

论美国新品格教育的"社群化"特征

20世纪80年代末以来在美国复兴的品格教育,其基本特征为"社群化",即以社会达至的道德共识作为教育内容,在学校构建道德社群,以作训练学生品格的教育环境,其目的在于解决美国当代青少年存在的极端个人主义等道德问题.美国新品格教育的"社群化"具有共识价值的统摄性、整合控制性和人为性等特征."道德教育社群化"可以理解为传统道德教育的特征,这对于分析我国整体主义道德教育模式具有重要理论价值.

自我中心倾向对学生的成长发展影响极大.中学生自我中心的形成与其所受教育及社会生活有密切联系.解除中学生的自我中心倾向是中学生心理健康教育的重点.为了解除中学生的自我中心倾向,需要提高中学生的自我评价能力,培养学生社会视角的转换技能,鼓励学生积极参与社会实践活动,在活动中培养良好品德.     

What Are You Doing—

The purpose of this paper is to provoke thought and hopefully stimulate action in physical educators in relation to moral education through physical education. A brief overview of three moral education programs in public schools serves to enlighten the reader concerning the possibilities for such development. Kohlberg's cognitive-developmental approach to moral education is discussed in greater depth since the author recommends this model as the foundation for moral education programs in physical education. A review of cognitive-developmental moral research culminates in the establishment of three guiding principles related to (a) nature of moral dilemmas, (h) nature of the environment, and (c) role of the teacher. An application of Kohlbergian techniques to physical education is discussed in relation to the three guiding principles. The paper concludes with an appeal to physical educators for greater concern and involvement with this long-standing goal of physical education for moral (character) development by the implementation of programs in the gymnasium classroom and in teacher education programs with concurrent research to support such programs.

Some Effects of Teaching Designed to Promote Understanding of Racial Issues in Adolescence

Abstract:

Moral education must be based on universal religious values, such as equality and faith, if it expects to have an impact on character development The central objective of our moral education programme is co‐operation. To specify what is meant by co‐operation, three of its aspects ‐‐ courtesy, consultation and service ‐‐ are discussed. Methods of facilitating moral development fall into three categories: ground rules, modelling, and moral reasoning. These methods must be used jointly if they are to be effective. Releasing the potential of both the society and the individual constitutes the goal of moral education.     

当代大学生生态文明观的构建

生态环境问题已经是人类社会生存和可持续发展的重要问题。作为大学德育的重要组成部分,大学生文明生态观的构建要从转变生态观念、培养环境道德情感、强化环境道德责任、注重行为指导、环境道德原则的确立等几方面入手,以满足和实现社会的可持续发展和大学生个体的全面发展。
