Advertising language is very critical in advertising and also contributes much to producing advertising effect. As one of the most important pragmatic principles, the Cooperative Principle (CP) is adopted much in linguistic researches. Also, by analyzing a large number of Chinese advertisements with CP, the author finds that it is common that advertisers try to generate implicatures by flouting the maxims of CP. This paper brings a clear look of the Cooperative Principle and its maxims. It also sheds new light on the interpretation of Chinese advertisements.  相似文献

Politeness embodies human civilization,acting as one behavioral criterion of moral significance to maintain the harmonious personal relationships.Politeness Principle,an essential research topic in pragmatics,is greatly meaningful in people’s daily communication.It is also needed in English class which involves the communication between teacher and students.With a theory basis of Politeness Principle put forward by Leech,this paper explains the content of Politeness Principle and probes into the application of Politeness Principle in English class teaching,citing the application of Tact Maxim,Approbation Maxim,Modesty Maxim and Agreement Maxim as examples to suggest that pleasant class atmosphere,good relationships between teacher and students,enthusiasm,politeness awareness and communicative competence can be obtained when the teacher observes Politeness Principle.  相似文献

Grice的合作原则与会话含义理论没有说明人们为什么要违反合作原则,Leech的礼貌原则对合作原则违反的解释存在明显不足。通过对不同目的关系下违反合作原则的现象进行分析发现,造成合作原则违反的原因主要有交际能力的不足、目的关系的冲突和修辞目的的需要。说明在交际能力许可的情况下,会话双方的目的关系和发话者的修辞目的是合作原则违反的决定因素。从而得出在交际能力许可的情况下,会话目的是合作原则违反的决定因素的结论。  相似文献

从合作原则、礼貌原则、言语行为理论等语用的角度探讨反讽问题。反讽是说话人出于礼貌故意违反质量准则而产生的,通过表面上对合作原则的违反,反讽原则使说话人能够给自己不礼貌的言语披上一层礼貌的面纱,从而既从根本上遵循了合作原则和礼貌原则,又表达了自己的真实意图。反讽是一种间接言语行为,一种“戴了面纱的”威胁面子的言语行为。  相似文献
