交际式教学法与任务型教学法在中国英语课堂的发展

交际外语教学法(CLT)是指发展语言学习者在情境中交流交际使用目标语言的能力的课堂教学法。任务型教学法(TBLT)伴随CLT的发展而兴起,在世界范围内的英语教学领域掀起了一场革命。然而,国内外教学界却一直对CLT和TBLT的标准定义,尤其对于CLT与TBLT在中国英语课堂的应用的必要性与适用性存在争议。鉴于此,就CLT与TBLT在中国英语课堂的发展进行综述讨论,以期能够把二者的教学理念与中国英语课堂情境有效结合起来,使得中国学生更好地在课堂上掌握英语语言知识。     

交际话题训练提高学生英语学习的实验报告

交际教学法的教学观认为,掌握一门语言就是要掌握一种“交际能力”(communicative competence/ability)。本文通过一项教学实验研究,阐述了将交际话题训练结合到高职院校日常英语教学中的必要性及具体做法。实验结果表明,交际教学不仅能提高学生的英语口头表达及交际能力,而且能改善学习态度,提高动机,促进学生英语学习的全面发展。     

同一性视域下之交际教学法与任务和项目教学法

从同一性的认识角度出发,对交际教学法、任务教学法和项目教学法本质特征进行对比,探讨相似性,得出三者的结合点：它们是同一集合关系,而非对立关系。任务教学是交际教学的实际运用,项目教学是系列任务教学的组合。它们相互融合、相互补充,构成多层次的教学形式和评价手段。对它们理性认识的回归,有助于中国特色的英语教学法体系的形成。     

任务型教学法亟待本土化改造

任务型教学是在国外二语教学背景下从交际语言教学理论发展出来的一种新的教学途径,要把它广泛地应用于缺乏目的语环境的我国基础外语教学,存在着诸多的不适应。中国缺乏实施任务型教学的环境,缺乏实施任务型教学的合格师资队伍,缺乏广泛实施任务型教学的受众群体。对任务型教学法实施＂本土化＂改造,要用＂学＂的规律来指导＂教＂的方式,要区分课程性质、课程内容、学习阶段以及学习对象,要结合中国外语教学实际,博采众长,合理取舍任务型教学法的原则与步骤,推广前任务与语言焦点两大教学环节,有限使用任务循环环节,以适当降低难度系数,增加可操作性。     

Teaching Grammar in a Communicative Framework in the Chinese EFL Context

Communicative language teaching(CLT) has been introduced to the English-as-a-foreign-language(EFL) context in China for four decades.One of the most significant remaining issues is related to whether this approach to grammar teaching is more effective and efficient than traditional ones.Based on an overview of trends in approaches to grammar instruction,discussion on both advantages of teaching grammar communicatively and the challenges posed by the Chinese EFL context are provided.It is proposed that grammar instruction should be integrated into a communicative framework and this would be the optimal approach to grammar teaching on condition that some constraints in the EFL context in China are dealt with carefully.Teaching implications conclude this paper.     

An Analysis on Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory in Communicative Language Teaching Mode

Communicative Language Teaching(CLT)plays a vital role in foreign language teaching.Learners may improve their communicative language profi ciency under CLT mode.Many researches on Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory show that learning as a social and cultural rather than individual phenomenon takes place through meaningful interaction with people,and thus the people in the environment are essential to the development of new knowledge.This paper mainly analyses Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory in CLT mode.The conclusions in this paper may help the readers gain an insight into the relations between the Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory and CLT as well as awaken the awareness of designing the activities for teaching.     

EFL教学环境中运用交际型英语教学的原则

交际型英语教学在英语作为第二语言（ESL）的教学环境中取得成功的同时,却在英语作为外语（EFL）的教学环境中遇到了很多困难。本文指出上述两种不同的语言教学环境在教师水平、学生学习动机、态度和学习方法上都存在着很大的差异,正是这些差异的存在要求我们以正确的态度看待交际型英语教学．将这一先进的教学模式与我们的教学实际结合起来。     

A Short Discussion on How to Use Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) to Improve Speaking Competence

Though China’s present situation in English language teaching is quite favorable,some problems are still very outstanding.It seems that the communicative competence of Chinese students is not that satisfactory.The Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) approach,which regards"communicative competence"as the goal of language teaching,is becoming more and more popular in China’s English language teaching.This paper shows that the CLT approach does work in improving students’ communicative competence to some degree,through reviewing relevant literature on this approach.However,it is not a panacea to solve all the problems occurring in students’ communicative competence for it also has some weak points.Several suggestions were proposed to enhance students’ grammatical competence as well as the communicative block due to cultural differences.It is also advisable for teachers to be as flexible as possible in choosing the teaching techniques and adding whichever input needed to effectively achieve the main goal of making students both grammatically accurate and communicatively proficient.     

The Importance and Challenge of Using CLT in China

Communicative language teaching(CLT) has been used as an effective approach in many TESOL classrooms. This essay refers to the great significance of adopting CLT in China’s English classrooms and also points out some problems that may come up while using it. Two practical in-class activities are provided in this essay to help English teachers to combine the traditional teaching method and CLT together in China’s English classrooms.     

Interactions between Instructional Methods and Styles of Concept Learning

Abstract

Statistical interactions between Conceptual Levels Test (CLT) scores and deductive vs. inductive teaching methods were examined among 275 sixth grade pupils. The purposes of the study were to determine whether the two methods are most effective among different students, and whether CLT scores predict which students should receive each kind of instruction. Subjects were randomly assigned to deductive and inductive groups for instruction in critical thinking. Repeated measures of achievements and attitudes provided four sets of criterion scores. The regression of criterion scores on CLT scores yielded one significant disordinal interaction and four confidence intervals within which deductive teaching was significantly more effective than inductive instruction. Regions in which inductive teaching was significantly superior were not observed. While deductive instruction was advantageous for some learners, neither high, medium nor low CLT scorers benefited consistently from inductive teaching.     

学生——交际语言教学法中最重要角色(英文)

教师和学生是在交际语言教学法中的两个重要角色。在传统教育理念中,学生的角色没有引起老师足够重视。该文再次强调交际语言教学法中的教师和学生角色,让教师们能更清楚理解学生在交际教学法中充当更主要角色。为了培养学生的英语交际能力,教师应该重新思考学生角色并鼓励学生在课堂发挥更积极的作用。     

交际法(CLT)悖论

本文针对交际法在中国所产生的效果不甚理想这一事实,通过对BANA和TESEP背景下的英语教学特点和BANA背景与我国的社会文化背景、教学文化背景以及语言文化背景进行分析比较,借用Prabhu的最佳教学法观点和Cook对交际法的批判观点,多角度地对交际法进行分析,指出交际法在很大程度上不适宜我国的社会文化背景、教育文化背景和语言文化背景。对交际法的推广应建立在理解的基础之上,切忌盲从。文章还指出要对我国的教育文化背景进行改造,要创造条件,扬交际法所长,以实现对学习者交际能力的培养。     

Communicative language teaching in the Chinese environment

In order to explore effective ways to develop Chinese English learners＇ communicative competence, this study first briefly reviews the advantages of communicative language teaching （CLT） method which widely practiced in the Western countries and analyzes in details its obstacles in Chinese classroom context. Then it offers guidelines for compromising the communicative approach with the traditional Chinese approach. Finally, it puts forward some principles and techniques for English teaching practice in the Chinese environment.

A Discussion of the Application of Communicative Language Teaching to English Teaching in Vocational Schools in China

Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) has become a driving force in English Language Teaching programs in most parts of the world.It is based on the assumption that students can more easily develop language skills if the language is related to their lives and if they are given sufficient opportunity to practice them with their peers.This approach considers communicative competence as its goal of teaching.In this paper,the author tries to explore the application of Communicative Language Teaching to English teaching in vocational schools in China.To begin with,the author gives a brief introduction to Communicative Language Teaching and vocational education in China,followed by the theoretical framework.Then,the application of CLT to English teaching in vocational schools in China is elaborated in detail.Finally,the author gets the conclusion that English teaching in vocational schools must consider training students' communicative competence as its final target and a difficulty is noted by the author in terms of applying CLT to English teaching in vocational schools in China.     

Is CLT feasible in China?

CLT has developed rapidly and has become one of the most effective teaching approaches towards English Language Teaching(ELT).Thus,this paper will try to discuss whether CLT is feasible in China.

自上个世纪70年代Hymes提出交际教学这一概念以来,交际教学法在全世界的呼声越来越高。本世纪以来,我国各个高校都在探索者英语教学改革的良方。不少学校虽然高呼交际教学法的优势,却仍走着传统的语法翻译法的老路子。该文拟通过对现今教学法的解析,以雅思培训为启发,着力为以我院为代表的独立学院中正在如火如荼地进行中的英语教学改革贡献一份力量。

本文从现代语言学理论发展的角度,结合语言与文化的关系,就现代外语教学理论和语言教学中存在的核心问题提出见解.交际语言教学揭示了语言教学的本质,但并未解决所有的问题.交际过程因为＂文化休克＂现象而中断,因此交际教学中应注入文化内容.跨文化交际学提供了相应方法.     

My Opinion of Communicative Language Teaching

We've already discussed about communicative language teaching for sometime.However,teachers hardly carry it out in reality,as if it is just an ideal idea of teaching,instead of a teaching method.Fortunately,I was lucky to be inspired by my teacher to touch this method.And I found that in my class,pupils were very enthusiastic about CLT teaching.Because,it can help them think that they are somewhat a kind of partner in classroom.In other words,they are not only put in but also can put out to others,which makes them proud of themselves and fill with fairly confident.Besides,the two approaches are very important in CLT class.
