简评胡适的文化现代化思想——胡适不是一个“全盘西化”论者

胡适两次提出“全盘西化”都有特殊的背景和原因,他并不主张全盘否定中国传统文化,他的“全盘西化”实为“全力西化”,是作为中国文化现代化的手段而非目的。胡适并不是真正的“全盘西化”论者,其文化现代化的思路是通过全力西化的努力,使中西文化充分交融,经过“适者生存”法则的选择,最终建立包含中西文化精华,符合世界现代化潮流的中华民族新文化。
