加速河南国际化进程中公示语英译应用研究

在全球化语境下和国际化进程中,建设信息化、规范化、人性化和生态化的双语公示语已成为城市文化建设和文化形象塑造的重要课题。本文梳理了20世纪80年代以来国内公示语翻译研究的焦点及存在的不足,并结合实例从建设现状、翻译质量、翻译思维和翻译效度上分析了河南省双语公示语建设及公示语翻译的问题。最后,本文提出将双语公示语建设提升到战略高度,最大限度地发挥公示语翻译的传递功能、传播功能和建设功能。同时在翻译实践中践行"归化"的翻译原则,确保双语公示语的功能对等,构建具有我省特色的公示语翻译语料库,通过公示语翻译建设来推动我省的文化建设和生态文明建设。

影视剧名是影视作品的＂第一张名片＂,成功的译名是票房和收视率的首要条件。前人已从目的论、接受美学、社会符号学等角度探讨过影视剧名翻译,但难免有失偏颇。胡庚申教授提出的生态翻译学理论把各翻译研究视角囊括到＂一个相对完整的翻译本体生态系统＂中,强调译者的主体作用。本文意图运用这一理论从语言维、文化维、交际维等多维角度探析影视剧名的翻译策略,并提出剧名翻译的评译标准。     

语境知识下的英汉隐喻翻译

隐喻从旧时被作为修辞学的研究焦点,到现在成为一种基本的人类认知方式被大众所接受。准确的隐喻翻译可以向目的语读者准确地传递原语中隐喻要表达的语义特征和认知方式。通过研究隐喻翻译的现状,从认知语义学的角度出发,分析语境对隐喻理解的影响,试图阐述语境知识下的英汉隐喻翻译。

The language variable in educational research: an exploration of researcher positionality,translation, and interpretation

In qualitative educational research, the languages spoken by the participants and the researchers can greatly impact the quality of the data collected. This paper will explore the advantages and disadvantages of being an insider researcher by virtue of speaking the same language(s) as the participants. Whether the researcher is a linguistic insider or outsider, he or she will need to make important decisions with regard to translation and interpretation when conducting cross-language research. Such linguistic decisions can also impact the quality of the data collected and the trustworthiness of the research. The advantages and disadvantages of translation and interpretation in qualitative educational research will be explored. This paper offers researchers and students suggestions for conducting cross-language educational research in an ethical and transparent manner.     

翻译观念与教学模式也应"与时俱进"

文章通过对《孙子兵法·计篇》三个最具影响力、最具代表性的英文译本进行对比分析研究，指出其中由于语言文化的差异性而产生的表层翻译、欠额翻译等误译现象。文章提出译者必须比较不同的注释本以求原著语言的本义，同时立足于语用翻译理论，以期通过多种译法使不同文化背景下的读者正确理解译文。

语篇分析理论观照下的翻译教学研究

近年来,翻译界逐步将语篇分析理论引入到翻译教学与实践中。实践证明,在翻译教学中合理地运用语篇分析理论,帮助学生从根本上掌握英汉两种语言转化的规律,必将有效地提高学生的翻译能力,增强教学效果。     

Engaging in and engaging with research: teacher inquiry and development

The connection between teacher inquiry, professional development and school improvement was recognised 30 years ago by Lawrence Stenhouse. Stenhouse contributed many valuable insights into the role of practitioner enquiry in creating and utilising knowledge about teaching and learning, much of which is still to be applied systematically in teacher education and professional development. This paper draws on the Learning to Learn Phase 3 Evaluation, a three‐year‐action research project in which teachers in primary and secondary schools across the UK completed three cycles of practitioner inquiry to explore tools, pedagogies and other innovations which would promote dispositions of ‘learning to learn’ (L2L). The paper focuses on identifying those aspects of being involved in L2L that support teachers’ learning and the way that the teachers themselves understand the impact on their professional development. Data from over 60 semi‐structured interviews undertaken over the three years of the project, the case study reports compiled by teachers at the end of each year of the project and collaborative workshops involving teachers and university researchers as co‐inquirers are used to explore teachers’ learning. Qualitative methods are used to develop a thematic analysis of the interviews, case studies and the teachers’ understanding of the relationships between inquiry, research and continuing professional development (CPD) in order to identify categories and generate key concepts that can inform a theoretical understanding of the impact of professional inquiry on teachers’ learning. The findings contribute to our understanding of the role of inquiry and research in schools in supporting professional learning by suggesting how tools and models of working are developed.     

Triple translation: academic and managerial discourses of knowledge transfer policy in a new university in Scotland

Higher education systems in many parts of the world are experiencing the emergence of policies for knowledge transfer (KT). KT policy discourse reflects attempts to make universities more responsive to the needs of the knowledge economy and can be seen as a trend towards extracting a greater contribution from universities to the economy and society as a whole. This paper explores some of the practical tensions associated with operationalisation of KT policy with an institutional case study. Discourse analysis of university documents, and interviews with managers and academics, highlight the struggle between policymakers and academics around development of a KT strategy. The case reveals the potential pitfalls of adopting a commercially-oriented approach to KT in a service-oriented academic community. Effectively capturing the academic community's sense of service to the community in policy design may be one way of ensuring success and ensuring that KT policy is not ‘lost in translation’.

为深化安徽旅游强省战略,加大旅游资源的推广和提升安徽旅游的形象,对安徽旅游公示语翻译现状进行调查,发现问题主要集中在拼写错误、语法错误、中式英语、文化失误和译名不统一五个方面.功能翻译理论指导下的旅游公示语翻译能够实现译文的预期目的和功能,做到以译文读者为目标,以目的语言文化为取向,在翻译操作层面具有很强的指导性.同时,安徽旅游公示语翻译的规范化还要加强管理层面的工作,如设立专业管理部门、建立安徽《公共场所英文译写规范》地方标准和鼓励社会监督.

视域融合在一定程度上揭示了译者翻译的实质。译者翻译策略在很大程度上由译者的文化意识、历史意识以及读者意识决定。本文基于视域融合视角,从这三个方面对译者翻译策略进行了分析。
