So many studies have failed to show significant effects for illustrations in texts and teaching materials that, the author remarks, if the research is taken at face value, it is not difficult to begin believing that illustrations really are not very important in assisting learning. 该文是对虚拟仪器(V irtual Instrum ent,简称VI)结合数据采集卡(Data Acqu isition,简称DAQ)实现数据采集、控制、数据分析和数据表示的计算机控制系统实验的尝试和探讨。高校不但可以根据各自专业的需求定义实验仪器,不必受厂家生产的标准化实验仪器的拘束,而且可以避免实验室仪器繁琐的调整步骤,使学生的精力集中到理论的理解和应用上来,甚至可以指引学生自己开发虚拟仪器完成专业课程的实验。  相似文献

Computer generated images are being used to provide text and diagrams for lectures. These images are then openly available to first year undergraduates in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Systems at the University of Northumbria. A large lecture theatre is fitted with a computer-driven overhead projector and is used to display the files to over one hundred students. The image files and a text file commentary are provided, via automated routines on department computers, for students to copy onto their own discs.
The images are produced in a compressed and self displaying form, allowing all the material for the course to be contained on a single 1.4Mb floppy disc. All the material associated with these lectures is held on magnetic media.
This paper describes the method used, comments on some of the practical problems of using the method, and gives some of the student reaction to it.  相似文献

In this study 26 third grade and 36 fifth grade students, experienced in computer-assisted instruction, were randomly assigned to one of two treatment conditions: computer screen displayed text or traditional printed page text. According to assigned treatment condition, subjects either read a story from the computer screen or printed page booklet. There were no statistically significant differences between the two treatment conditions on measures of reading comprehension. On the attitude survey subjects reported greater interest in the story when reading from the computer, however, they reported that the story was more difficult when reading from the computer screen. The results of the study suggest that extended reading of prose materials on computer screens is feasible for children as young as eight years of age.  相似文献

This article argues that scholarship on literacy in and across the disciplines has disproportionately focused on the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies rather than on “specialist” subjects such as Physical Education. This disparity in emphasis has provided little guidance to specialist teachers seeking to understand and address the literacy demands of subject areas that often privilege an expanded conception of literacy. To illustrate the affordances of such analysis for PE teachers as well as their literacy colleagues, the reading demands of a particular multimodal text from PE—a three‐part basketball play—are presented in light of key themes from the US Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy. Complexities related to collective, embodied, and sequential meaning construction are explored. Recommendations for instruction and professional collaboration are shared.  相似文献

从读图时代的到来,结合当代版式设计的发展趋势,对未来书装中版式设计的发展方向进行预测。基于给版式设计注入新活力的自由式和反阅读式两种趋势的分析表明,不管时代怎样发展,先锋艺术总是只合少数人的胃口,而书籍的主要用途是传达信息、阐明道理,因此不论哪类书籍,其版式设计都应与书籍本身的特点相吻合,不能为形式而形式。  相似文献

将套筒单极子天线用于应急通信的V/U频段,提出了一个无地板的套筒天线设计,用An-soft HFSS软件研究该天线的多频带特性和辐射特性,并从工程角度优化了该天线的参数,套筒和同轴电缆均为标准尺寸,便于批量生产。仿真结果表明其在V/U双段能够满足所需的驻波比带宽,并且具有很好的辐射特性。VSWR小于2的频率范围是V段:127MHz-149MHz,带宽22MHz;U段:417 MHz-450MHz,带宽33MHz。取消地板以后,该天线横向尺寸大为减小,便于车载和移动使用。  相似文献

This article presents a theoretical overview of the complementary relationship between open education and environmental design. An elementary education program called the Open Corridor serves as a concrete example. The Open Corridor program dovetailed many aspects of open education and environmental design. Students, teachers, administrators, parents, and consulting psychologists served in the roles of planner and implementer. A review of open education and environmental design approaches is followed by a sketch of the Open Corridor program and a discussion of issues. A bright future exists for programs that carefully open their educational processes and plan their environments.  相似文献
