对外汉语教师素质与培训研究的回顾与展望

新中国对外汉语教师队伍建设的研究始于20世纪80年代。近十年学界针对对外汉语教师素质、教师培训和专业人才培养的研究均有所建树。以往研究的不足在于,我们对教师应具备怎样的知识结构和能力结构论述较多,而对知识与能力的关系以及如何培养、认定教师的教学能力未能作更深入的研究;对如何通过量化分析、跟踪调查的方式评估教师培训成效的研究也应当加强。而在当前汉语国际推广的新形势下,我们需要拓宽研究领域,并将我们的研究重心转移到汉语教学志愿者和海外中小学汉语教师的培训上。     

Better Thinking and Clearer Communication Will Help Special Education

The authors argue that insufficient attention has been given to foundational concepts in special education. Two classes of foundational concepts are discussed: human constructions and logico-mathematical facts. Four human constructions are examined: (1) making teaching most important, (2) discriminating among ideas, (3) choosing conceptual models, and (4) responding to diversity. Three logico-mathematical realities are detailed: (1) statistical phenomena, (2) sorting, and (3) labeling. The authors conclude with comments on the importance of better thinking and clearer communication, suggesting that the consequences of poor thinking and communicating are negative for both special educators and their students. Five recommendations for action are proposed.

A Clearer Vision: Creating and Evolving a Model to Support the Development of Science Teacher Leaders

This paper describes a professional development model for developing science teacher leaders that has evolved and been refined through working with 16 high school chemistry and physics teachers in high-needs schools over the past 3 years. The theoretical framework draws upon Goodwin’s notion of professional vision and Dempsey’s four metaphors to inform an understanding of professional identity consistent with innovation and empowerment in (a) the classroom setting with students and (b) with teachers in collegial environments. Thus, leadership practices and purposes are discussed at two distinct levels and contexts, which interact reflexively. Sociolinguistic discourse analysis of multiple data sources enabled us to identify the professional development features that promoted or hindered the teachers’ growth toward a leadership perspective and disposition. Implications for science teacher renewal and retention as well as limitations of the study and proposed leadership model are also shared and discussed.

高血压病是全球范围内最常见的心血管系统疾病，是严重危害人们健康的疾病之一、目前高血压治疗仍然沿用传统的治疗方法，然而随着对高血压病发病机制研究的深入和各种新的抗高血压药物的研制和问世，对高血压的治疗思路和方法提出了新的挑战，故现阶段提出了在高血压个体化治疗的基础上同时从确切降压、稳定血压和阻断肾素-血管紧张素系统三方面进行治疗的新概念、从这三方面具体阐述了高血压新的治疗思路和方法．     

A Student's View of Engineering

The authors analyze the answers to 10 questions from 523 engineering students in three Michigan junior colleges, in an attempt to elicit the beginning student's view of engineering. The answers give information on the age of first interest in engineering, the age of decision on the field as a career, the influences that led to the choice of engineering, future aspirations, and six other related questions. The opening section briefly states the objectives of education in our society and indicates the contribution of the junior college. The conclusion suggests some specific assistance professional engineers can give to youth.

从海德格尔生存一存在论的视界看,由于一个物质性对象和一个关于它的陈述是根本不同的两个东西,从而二者无任何相互“符合”的可能。那种认为真理是理智与事物相“符合”的传统观点,实际上源自中世纪的基督教神学信仰。由于“符合”论真理观不能以一种存在论的方式去思考“世界性”,从而世界也就不可能被正确领会为此在存在的一种结构性因素。

制度自由主义的新审视

从20世纪90年代起伴随制度自由主义的发展有三个趋势:1.道德主义的增强;2.更加趋向法制化;3.国际机制一致性减弱。回顾这几个趋势,明显是现实主义对自由主义的批判。法制化和道德主义的增加,反映出自1991年起民主国家在地缘政治力量上的前所未有的融合。但是国际机制一致性的减弱则反映出在利益和权力衡量上的巨大差异。所有国际机构都是有缺陷的而且是不稳定的,而且想要加强国际机构的作用以实现法制社会的目标对我们来说还是一个很大的挑战。
