论语言的起源问题

语言的起源问题一直以来都是语言学研究的重大课题,因此关于语言起源历史上存在各种各样的假说。本文基于认知语言学的原理探讨语言的起源问题,认为语言起源于内部世界的外化需要,并对"语言"进行了重新界定。

从关键期假说探析我国学前英语教育

语言习得关键期假说被引入语言学领域后,对二语习得的起始年龄问题产生了一定的影响。在我国,主要体现为英语学习的低龄化。本文从关键期假说的理论起源入手,结合我国学前英语教育的现状,探析关键期假说对我国学前英语教育的启示:学前英语教育并非越早越好,而应该在母语习得基本完成之后开始;学前英语教育应以培养学生兴趣为重点;英语习得是教师、幼儿、家长共同给力的结果。     

从认知语言学角度探究“萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说”

在探讨语言与思维的关系时,"萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说"不可或缺。这一假说使人们对语言与思维之间关系的讨论达到高潮,却也遭到不少诟病。随着认知语言学的兴起,这一假说又重新回到人们的视野中。拟从认知语言学的角度,探究"萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说",发现认知语言学实证研究主要从三个方面有力地支持了这一假说:(1)语言对空间认知的影响;(2)语言对时间认知的影响;(3)语言对性别认知的影响。

语言的起源问题是一个难以破解的谜,它导致众多假说的滋生。神授说将语言的起源归功于万能的神灵,拟声说将之归因于对天籁的仿效以及原始人类对外界刺激作出情感反应时或在集体劳作过程中发出的本能声音,拟象说则将口腔的发音动作视为对肢体表意动作或自然物象的模拟。这些假说的共同缺陷在于理据不足。随着现代科学的发展,人们试图从人的生物进化、生理特征以及社会因素等方面寻求语言起源的理据,给语言起源问题的研究带来了一些生机。     

萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说与外语教学

萨丕尔—沃尔夫假说是上个世纪语言学上具有重大意义的理论，该理论的核心就是语言决定思维。作为一种语言理论，萨丕尔—沃尔夫假说中的合理成份对外语教学的作用一直未受到学界的重视。本文试图从语言影响思维的角度探讨萨丕尔—沃尔夫假说对外语教学所具有的意义。

语言与思维的关系问题一直是人们争论的重大理论问题,而且由于经济社会的发展﹑科学的发达,涉及此关系问题的学科越来越多。其中涉及语言与思维问题的沃尔夫假说也争议颇多。近年来假说得到了更多关注,虽对其合理性给予了肯定,而对其合理性及不合理性的系统论证却不多。文章结合自然科学和语言学中的一些成果对这一假说的合理性和不合理性进行了论证。     

拟声词与原始语根假说

语言起源假说之一是语言起源于拟声,为认识这一假说,搜集了400多个拟声词并进行了分类。然后,研究了拟声词的拟声特点和音义之间的关系。最后,指出拟声词中外有别、古今有别。目前,许多词和复杂的词义,大多来自原始人的拟声词。原始人的拟声词是语言起源之一部分。基于此,提出了原始语根假说。     

论荀子的语言观

《荀子》32篇，其中相当一部分涉及了汉字的起源、语言的社会本质、语言的继承与发展、语言的作用、语言的修饰、方言与共同语等语言学的基本问题。在论证上述问题时，荀子在继承前人的基础上有所创新，不时闪烁出朴素唯物主义的思想曙光，给后人以极大的启发。可以这样认为，荀子的语言观，为中国古代语言学的发展作出了巨大的贡献，也为现代语言学的建立奠定了坚实的基础。

The Reader Response Approach to Teaching of English Literature

During interview with English majors, it was found that a majority of students expressed disappointment with their experience of English literature classes. Students' dislike of learning English literature appears to be the major problem of teaching English literature in China. Reader response approach is a good way to solve this problem. In this paper, I explain the rationale behind the reader response approach, such as its origin, definition, features, assumptions, and strategies. Then I illustrate how reader response approach works as a teaching strategy by presenting several teaching models. At last I evaluate its usefuiness for teachers and present the advantages of reader response approach in Chinese context.
