大学教育仍需重视人格

当今的社会时代、大学生中存在的问题、教育的真谛、大学的本质、使人生走向成功、提升人格的魅力都要求大学教育重视和加强人格教育。在大学,有效的人格导向应是教师的学术人格、教学人格、管理人格、伦理人格。如果我们大学教师能积极地建设自我、读懂学生、简约管理、实际帮助、珍言关怀,我们就能够逐渐建设起学生的人格大厦。     

The Private Voice: Homeschooling,Hannah Arendt,and Political Education

What becomes of the political orientation of American education when children are educated in the home rather than in public schools? Homeschooling critics raise concerns over the larger consequences: political exit and even indoctrination. Drawing on a recent study of 62 interviews with 35 homeschooling families in 11 states in the USA, we offer a theoretical argument grounded in empirical observations and perceptions of homeschoolers themselves. Using the work of political theorist Hannah Arendt as a guide, we suggest that, contrary to critics’ claims of political exit over voice, homeschooling may provide the opportunity for some families to respond with a “private voice” that is politically robust because it is intentionally subversive to a (perceived) homogenous dominant culture. We thus argue that some homeschoolers offer an understanding of private life that is political without being “public,” and that they reconcile this irony by attempting to cultivate reflexive “thinking” in their children regarding questions of conformity, materialism, and plurality.     

Can Education Still be Critical?

The article investigates how two different conceptions of the edifying potential of education attempt to take into account the normative dimension of scientific knowledge. In the first conception it is the demand for truth that is edifying, whereas in the second concept it is a distinctively ethical demand. It is argued that the first concept in the end implies the subjection of education to the 'brutality of facticity', under which it risks losing its critical point. The second conception, drawing on Levinas and Arendt, tries to safeguard this critical point. It conceives education as a process through which scientific knowledge is made subject to reflection, and is thus confronted with the ethical challenges and demands of society.     

我们仍然需要面向思的教育——海德格尔论技术时代的教育

由于世界的技术化,教育也随之技术化。人们追求更高的效率和选择化。学生成了学校培养的人力资本,以便提高经济增长和竞争力。海德格尔以面向思的事情来抵抗这种计算性思维。教育即让人获得辨别能力、素质和鉴赏力。教就意味着让-学习,真正的教师除了学习本身以外一无所教。海德格尔认为,传统的教育是教化,有固定的范式。另一种教育则是面向思的教育。最激发思的东西是一种空,一种缺乏,一种不足,一种缺席,一种非存在。海德格尔把这种缺失命名为奥秘,面向思的教育旨在培养对于奥秘的虚怀敞开。面向思的教育旨在养育泰然让之和敏锐。教育要让学生学会忍受他们的世界的无基础性。这要通过历史的教育,历史教育强调风格的非连续性。另外,娴熟的技艺精通是一种参与到情境中的方式。面向思的教育是一种苏格拉底式的哲学的腐化。     

新疆双语教育:来自知识分子的声音

新疆双语教育实践层面轰轰烈烈,理论研究虽然也进入双语教育热时期,但就双语教育整体工作而言学术界声音依然微弱。新疆连续两年双语教学论坛成功举办,来自一线的实践工作者与理论研究者讨论热烈,笔者从知识分子的角度提出三个问题:推进速度,又快又好还是又好又快?培养模式,同一还是多样?教学语言选择,政府选择还是家庭自主选择?并进行了分析与探讨。

《中国好声音》是一档深受大众喜欢的综艺节目,其采取的"四大导师"制,通过公平方式选拔出优秀的学员,学员之间既竞争又合作的比赛形式,导师点评时体现出的"做人比音乐更重要"的价值观,为大学教育提供了有益的启示。     

大学生活教育的呐喊:创造空间与寻求声音

教育是一个生活的过程,而不是一个事件.当今大学教育中存在着学生幻想生活的膨胀或萎缩、学生的附属性需要严重缺失、学校群体的去个性化倾向及其学生审美知觉能力的退化等弊端,此文试从创造空间与寻求声音的途径来唤醒大学的生活教育.     

学校德育,我们还缺少什么?

黄昏的夕阳下,读到这样一篇文章,打乱了我原本宁静的心绪。海南省一对11岁的双胞胎哥俩因在书店悄悄“拿”了一本爱不释手的图书,被管理人员扣押在小房间里通知家长前来领人,孩子受不了父母的责骂和路人的冷眼,双双跳楼自尽……报上同时登出了哥俩生前的照片,那虎头虎脑的可爱模样与这样惨烈的结局形成了强烈的反差,让人感到揪心的悲痛与惋惜。
