论植物园在生物教学中的运用

介绍植物园的概念及其产生和发展历史、我国植物园的发展概况和植物园的任务与作用,在此基础上提出植物园在生物学教学中的应用。

燕园

燕园位于常熟古城区,为清乾隆年间东阁大学士蒋溥之子、台湾知府蒋元枢所建,初名蒋园。乾隆四十五年,蒋元枢渡海遇险,回常熟后,取“燕归来”之意,更名为燕园。

本文试图从心理语言学角度出发,将心理分析理论中的图示框架理论与叙事学结合起来,阐释"花园路叙事"的认知模式。     

痛失田园——读霍华德《明日的田园城市》

从寻找霍华德《明日的田园城市》一书,心情就和“田园”无关。什么是“田园”?汉语字面的意思是田地和园圃,但不是泛指农村,而是一种生活方式对另一种生活方式的诗意的表达。如果田园寓意农村,就是从城市生活的角度———尤其是从对城市充满无奈和失望的角度———所表达的诗意的农村。“采菊东篱下,悠然见南山”,这样的生活方式是不是很诗意?但谁都知道,这是对另一种生活方式失意和逃遁的归隐。然而霍华德并不是想表达诗意或者失意。我想,这是语言,尤其是语言背后的文化造成的误会。因为霍华德最初的设想就是非常“入世”的。1898年10月,霍华德出版了《明日:一条通向真正改革的和平道路》(To-morrow:APeaceful Path to Real Reform)。在他勾绘的三磁铁图中,他非常明确城市与乡村(农村)各自的优势与劣势,提出了可供选择的“城市———乡村磁铁”。城市—乡村(town-country)并不是城市和农村的简单组合,而是“把一切最生动活泼的城市生活的优点和美丽,愉快的乡村环境和谐地组合在一起。”别看这段描述有些诗意,他对实现城市—乡村的途径能一下抓住要害:“城乡之间的最显著差别可能莫过于使用土地所支付的租金”。因为...

从前有位王子,没有人有他那么多好看的书。这个世界上发生的所有事情,他都能在自己的书中读到,而且可以看到美丽的画面。他可以了解到每个民族和每个国家的事情,不过,从书中一点也了解不到天堂花园的情况,而这才是他最想知道的。     

A Garden of Ethics

Annemarie Roeper and Leta Hollingworth are the ethical bedrock of the field of gifted education. Though they never met, their legacies are intertwined. They gave us a child-centered perspective, in which ethical development plays a pivotal role. This article traces the similarities of their philosophies, exploring the life experiences that may have led them to see gifted children through the same lens. They both loved their gardens. The seeds of integrity and compassion that they planted inspire us to move beyond our expectations in order to see and nurture the beauty of each child.     

The Critically Designed Garden

This article is concerned with design applied to gardens, using examples from the Chelsea Flower Show in London. There is a discussion of those show gardens that represented Syrian refugees’ gardens in Iraq and the Windrush generation immigration to the UK. The garden designs combine the aesthetics of organic materials and spatial architecture with an implicit critique of topical contemporary social issues. The article concludes by commenting on the risks posed by the reduced and impoverished UK arts education policies for producing the next generation of applied design practitioners.

文人庭园与诗歌书写——以杨万里东园为考察中心

中国古代文人士大夫创作过大量的庭园诗歌,并在其中寄予自己的人生理想和价值追求。杨万里是一位具有代表性的庭园诗人,他一生酷爱园林,在游园、造园和写园中,通过想象、建筑和书写,建构起了"图景式庭园"、"实体庭园"和"书写中的庭园"三重与自己知音相契的文人庭园,在庭园中数次拒仕不出,"笔落而逝",殉于精神的清野。而庭园作为文人士大夫与政治的触媒,不仅为文人士大夫提供了可居可游的知音场域,保全其人格的独立和精神的坚守,而且通过文人士大夫的书写得以留存,记录并延续了千古文人在仕与隐的矛盾中对于理想人格的追求和执着的姿态。     

现代园林教学理应开设园林模型设计制作课程

开设园林模型设计制作课程是园林规划设计主干专业课的必要补充。园林模型设计制作能弥补图纸设计中的不足, 学习园林模型设计制作课程能增加学生的空间立体想象能力, 并有助于提高园林教学的质量。     

‘Otherways’ into the Garden: Re-Visioning the Feminine in The Secret Garden

This article documents my interpretation of The Secret Garden. Re-visioning The Secret Garden as a Sleeping Beauty tale was the key that made it possible for me to recognize the story as Mary's quest tale and as a feminine, subversive text with covert, symbolic messages. To arrive at my interpretation, I explored a series of questions dealing with issues such as sight, speech, power, gender construction, and symbolism. My interpretation reveals the positive and potent ways women subvert the hegemony of patriarchal society and the celebration of the divine feminine within The Garden.
