A Positive Research on Undergraduate Curriculum

The main reason for the gap between the graduates＇ capability and employment requirement lies in the lagging behind the social needs in curriculum management, specialty layout, knowledge transmission and students＇ capability training in universities. Based on the statistics of the case study, this thesis carries on a positive research on the layout of undergraduate curriculum, contents, teaching, textbooks and other problems, therefore gives some proposals on curriculum management.     

The Research on the System of Examination and Assessment of Academic Teachers Based on the Cultural Reflections

With some reflections on the management culture of higher educational institutions in China, this paper presents that it is not adequate to make analyses of rules and regulations from the mere perspective of institutional economics to get rid of short-term, which can be accounted for on a deeper level by the absence of management culture in the prevailing assessment system of teachers＇ achievements; while the key to reform the system of assessing teachers＇ work is to rebuild cultural conceptions in the management of higher educational institutions.     

Some Reflections on and Criticisms of China＇s Educational Management Studies

In spite of having undergone one Century＇s vicissitude, China＇s educational management studies are still lagging behind those abroad. Two research lines, one being induction and generalization, another being deduction and transplantation, have been roughly evolved over these studies. Both of them have reached the level of empirical science. Since 1980s, they have developed in an unprecedented way. However, there are still some problems existing in this field. The first one is tha（a clan of multi-echeloned and multi-typed educational management studies has been multiplied in the way of trying to jump over certain developing phases and to obtain instant success and quick profits. The second one is the concept of what is educational management studies is still unclear, thus leading to ambiguous ideas or even confusions on this issue. The third one is that the study on educational management and the study on educational economy are forced to be tied together and become one by human forces, thus hampering the development of either field. Therefore, it is necessary to make reflections on and criticisms on these confused phenomena so as to preserve standardization and identity of this discipline and promote its healthy development.     

Service-based flexible workflow system for virtual enterprise

Using the services provided by virtual enterprises, we presented a solution to implement flexible inter-enterprise workflow management. Services were the responses of events that can be accessed programmatically on the Internet by HTTP protocol. Services were obtained according to some standardized service templates. The workflow engine＇s flexible control to a request was bound to appropriate services and their providers by using a constraint-based, dynamic binding mechanism. Hence, a flexible and collaborative business was achieved. The workflow management system supports virtual enterprise, and the styles of virtual enterprises can be adjusted readily to adapt various situations.

Floodwater utilization of the Three Gorges Project

Floods are both risks and resources. Floodwater utilization is an important part of flood management. Considering the rising shortage of water resources, serious water pollution, and undersupply of electric power, it＇s imperative to strengthen flood management. In light of the hydrological characteristics of the Three Gorges Project （TGP） on the Yangtze River in P. R. China, we investigated the necessity and feasibility of TGP floodwater utilization, proprosed dynamic control of limited water level during flood season of the reservoir and basin-wide integrated floodwater management as strategies, and identified problems that might occur in practice.     

Sandor Karacsony＇s pedagogic system with a reformed-theological basis

This paper is about a research focusing on upbringing story problems of Hungarian. Sandor Karacsony＇s educational philosophy has already had several criticisms, primarily from the communist party＇s people, and from ideological and political viewpoints. But there were people blaming him for the deficiency of the concept and the lack of the pedagogic system. While studying and thinking his works, it might be declared that Karacsony＇s thoughts were embed in a peculiar system, revealing what must not be given up. Although, his language is slightly difficult, his direct style of writing brings learners through less understandable chapters and parts. The author grouped the overview of Karacsony＇s pedagogic system around 3 fundamental notions： the aim of the upbringing, the education and the theory of education. Sandor Karacsony was not only a high-school teacher and university professor, but also in his public functions, strived for restoring the relation between the educators and the pupils into a natural （for him） connection, he was out for developing tasks, expectations of the schools and the reformed institutions.     

The Empirical Study on Chinese Style Dual System Basing on Foxconn Training Base Program

So far many existing papers have made study on dual system.While most scholars take the opinion that dual system can give obviously positive effect to skilled talent training,some theorists argue that the precondition of dual system performs excellently is dual system should be localized according to the reality of a country or a district.This paper analyzes dual system practice in China from an example of Foxconn Training Base,the conclusion is that in Foxconn Training Base Program,dual system has been localized successfully and evolved into triangle system,and this program management pattern can be used in other areas of China as a mature,standard Chinese dual system pattern for skilled talent training.     

Changes in learning process caused by the implementation of ICT in education in Estonian in-service and pre-service teachers perceptions

The current paper reports on a qualitative study examining in-service and pre-service teachers perceptions about changes in the learning process caused by the involvement of ICT （Information and Communication Technology） in Estonian schools. Based on five in-service and five pre-service teachers＇ interviews, findings indicate some positive, some negative and some in-between （considered by teachers as positive from one side and as negative from the other side） changes in the student＇s and teacher＇s roles in the learning process and teaching process. Interviews were recorded and transcribed. Content analysis was used as the data analysis method. The paper discusses estimated changes by both groups in the Estonian educational system. A comparison of in-service and pre-service teachers＇ opinions has been provided.

Teachers play an important role in society,whose career is considered to be the most glorious one under the sun.They have deep and lifelong influence on students and the prosperity of a country and even the bright future of the whole world.Teacher should be a person with great virtue that sets good examples for the students.However,nowadays,there exist various problems about teacher’s ethics due to complex social,economical,cultural or personal issues.It’s urgent and imperative for teachers to learn and improve professional ethics to be a better mentor.This paper begins with the definition of ethics,emphasizes the importance of teachers’professional ethics,talks about current situation in this area,analyzes the reasons why there are immoral problems about teachers and suggests some practical strategies on how to improve it.

Research on Management Method of Geological Disaster Prevention and Cure Project in Chongqing City

As everyone knows,China has come to being one of the countries deserved paying attention to it‘s geological disaster which become seriously.Not only protect people’s lives,property and foundation against destroyed but also ensure the continuable development of country’s economy and society,some must be taken.Therefore efficiency and equitableness system should be set up.According to the peculiarity of prevention measure against geological disaster,the emphases of the system were intensively studied.Beside this,the paper focused more attention on the methods of enhanced financing and analyzed keystones of some financing different finance channel.Integrating the peculiar of the Chongqing city and referencing some other engineering items,some means were summarized such as reinforcing essential investigation and confirming danger point of geological disaster.Based on this,forecast should be intensified and the procedure of disposal must be developed.     

Teacher and Student Roles in Chinese Culture

Nowaday, going abroad to further education has gained the greatest popularity among chinese students. Majority of these oversea students may suffer from some problems in their cross-cultural classrooms, even though they are excellent in their own country. Chinese learners are frequently labeled as"passive learners", compared with other foreign learners. The teachers in foreign countries may also play a sharply different role in teaching. These problems have already attracted some education experts and researchers’attention and a few research programs and experiments have been conducted. This paper will adopt Tweed and Lehman (2002)’s Confucian-Socratic framework to systematically analyze student and teacher roles in Chinese culture and communicative norms of the students and teachers in Chinese contexts. A better cross-clutural classroom will be built on the basis of foreign teachers and chinese students’mutual efforts on understanding each other’s culture background.     

The contribution of system and control theory to new technologies

Over the last five decades, modem directions in technological areas such as wireless networks and communications, complex robotic systems, satellites and space structures have been immensely benefited by the use of system and control＇s conceptual framework. Estimation, stability, controllability, robustness, optimality, adaptation, information and statistical engineering are only some of the fundamental ingredients of the so-called new and emerging technologies, which are within the collective preview of this paper. Furthermore, these two, contrarily to technological trends, well established fields of science have been continuously supported by formal modelling techniques, and advanced computational and simulation tools, which enable the analysis and design of new powerful and effective methodologies. Consequently, in this article the authors＇ aim follows two equal directions. At first, the authors would like to provide a profusion of many practical examples and real life problems arising in different application areas that may have in the past abstractly engaged the authors＇ attention and have offer a wealth of opportunities for creative system modelling and practical solutions development. That is the core of our paper. However, in order to be more explicit, and to further illustrate the authors＇ thoughts, the case of a tele-medicine-assisted home support system is used; a system of great interest in the emerging field of information technology and medical health care. Secondly, by developing the necessary conceptual framework and some more efficient methods, important and straightforwardly challenges are inevitably derived. Moreover, a strong effort to develop a formal approach requires the definition of a generic system framework. It is a central objective of this paper to clarify and unify the alternative notions of a ＂conceptual model＂ and thus, to create a basis for the systematic development of formal methods, control/information architectures and decision-making strategies. The rapid structured literature review as a research strategy

A diversity of sources of literature encompassed by the management disciplines appears to result in a growing need for a systematic methodology to map the territory of management theory. As such, when scoping out a study, structured literature review （SLR） can be considered as a means by which any critical, central literature might be considered. However, there is little guidance, or evidence, of this being undertaken for the purposes of small scale projects such as undergraduate or masters＇ dissertations. This paper reports four case studies of master＇s degree students following management programmes of undertaking a structured literature review （SLR） and the issues and problems they had to encounter during their journey. The findings from the case studies suggest that in terms of time to complete and the volume of output required in terms of word count, Tranfield, et al＇s （2003） approach to SLR＇s, whilst suited to doctoral level research is not appropriate generally when dealing with undergraduate and masters research projects. Therefore, this paper provides accounts of the experiences of four students who undertook SLR for their undergraduate or master＇s degree dissertation. The paper identifies that these students had to deal with a new set of conceptual problems relating to this ＂unorthodox＂ approach to a postgraduate research dissertation in coming to terms with new paradigms of enquiry that are not normally taught as part of a traditional research methods course. This was despite gaining a greater depth of insight into the subject area through a more rigorous and structured manner. The paper presents alternative remedies by way of a rapid structured literature review （RSLR） model. This would appear to be more appropriate to the conducting of small scale literature based research projects when used with undergraduate and master＇s degree students than SLR identified for other research activities.     

Analysis of the dynamics of the sharing knowledge between cooperating teacher and teacher-in-training： The partners＇ respective roles

Collaboration is becoming increasingly important in the realm of education （Novoa, 2004）. For instance, as soon as training is undertaken, the future teacher must develop an ability to cooperate in a pedagogical context. However, in order to learn to make a relevant contribution to a teaching team＇s undertakings and to provide innovative suggestions in pedagogical matters （Gouvernement du Quebec, 2001）, the student teacher needs solid backing from the cooperating teacher. A student teacher＇s willingness to reflect on and to question his own teaching practices will create a much more promising learning context （Portelance ＆ Durand, 2006）. Reciprocally, the cooperating teacher will make a positive contribution to the student teacher by accepting that his positions be questioned and even altered （Johnston, Wetherill ＆ Greenebaum, 2002）. It is the dynamics of sharing of knowledge and know-how in this partnership that retains our interest. From 2004 to 2007, the researchers carried out a study of the subject by examining four practicum sessions at high school level in a number of Quebec schools. To gather data, the researchers used written questionnaires, individual interviews, as well as recordings of conversations between student teachers and their cooperating teachers. These conversations pertain to the conception and to the execution, by the student teacher, of teaching-learning situations. These dialogues were integrally transcribed and processed by N＇vivo, software designed to analyze qualitative data. the researchers present a typology of the respective roles taken on by the two partners in their discussions. The cooperating teacher reveals himself to be an advisor, a transmitter of information and a teacher. The student teacher also takes on the role of transmitter of information, as well as that of reflective practitioner, among others, the researchers observed that the conversations are usually carried out in an egalitarian spirit and, in some cases, give rise to co-construction of practical knowledge.     

2-D nano-positioning system for AFM based on H∞ control

Nano-manipulation technology is an emerging field in the development of modern science and technology. Atomic force microscope （AFM）, a sharp weapon for nano imaging and nanomanipulation, which is honored as ＂eye＂ and ＂hand＂ of nano-technology. However, due to the hysteresis, creep and other nonlinearity of piezoelectric ceramics tube （PZT） as well as the probe＇s tip deviations caused by cantilever deformation, AFM has larger error of relative displacement between probe and sample, which creates enormous inconvenience to the nano-manipulation and repositioning. As to improve positioning accuracy, this dissertation presents a novel AFM＇s X-Y dimensional nano-positioning control system with large-scale based on H∞ control. Through careful research on variety of influence factors on AFM＇s precise nano-manipulation, a composite control strategy based on feedforward compensation control of cantilever probe tip＇s offset and H∞ control of piezoelectric scanner is presented in this paper. In the end, simulation results can also testify the tracking ability and better nano-positioning performance of the system.     

A Study on Translation Strategies in Tourist Translation
