企业管理咨询是指由受过专门训练的、有经验的专家根据有关的协议,客观、独立、公正地为企业识别、分析管理中存在的问题,提出解决问题的办法,并在企业需要时,帮助解决这些问题.在我国,有针对性地开展企业信息咨询是近几年来的事,苏南企业对企业管理信息咨询的消费也是刚刚开始.从总体上看,苏南广大企业用户对企业管理咨询还存在着许多模糊的认识,消费企业管理咨询的意识普遍不强,成功的消费实例也不多见.根据这一现状,我们认为,在当前苏南企业推进信息化进程和企业管理波动、管理失误较多的情况下,宣传企业管理咨询,培育企业用户消费管理咨询的意识已成为苏南现代化建设的重要内容之一.  相似文献

Knowledge management (KM) is an emerging field of specialization in a number of professions, including Information Science (IS). The different professions are contributing to and influencing the developments in KM in their own ways. However, it is argued here that IS is not contributing to the advancement of KM as much as it should for a number of apparent reasons. The main purpose of the paper is to call on the members of the IS profession to take a more proactive and visible role in advancing KM by showing that KM is a natural and long-awaited development in IS and that a number of circumstances have made KM to be an area of emphasis in IS whose time has come. The paper also aims at contributing towards achieving a consensus among IS professionals on conceptualization, goals, and scope of KM in IS. The recommendations of the paper focus on how the profession could proactively be involved in advancing KM.  相似文献

We present a conceptual framework of academic consulting and explore its impacts on universities and the benefits to innovating firms. We distinguish between three types of academic consulting: opportunity-driven, commercialization-driven and research-driven. Exploring the implications of these different types, first, we postulate that consulting has limited impact on biasing academic research towards more ‘applied’ themes. Secondly, while we expect research-driven consulting activities to be positively associated with research productivity, opportunity-driven consulting will have a negative impact. Thirdly, we differentiate between different functions of academic consulting for different types of firms.  相似文献

Enterprise Social Media Platforms (ESMPs) are arenas for self-presentation where employees construct, co-create, and maintain an online image among their colleagues. This study systemically evaluated the current literature to understand the potential of ESMPs in influencing employees’ impression management strategies from the affordance perspective. Drawing from a focused review of the literature on ESMPs’ affordances and impression management, this paper reclassified employees’ impression management strategies in the context of ESMPs. It proposes a conceptual framework that captures the complex relationship between ESMPs’ affordances and employees’ various impression management strategies. The framework highlights that ESMPs’ affordances affect employees’ impression management strategies, both positively and negatively, and proposes the contingent effects of individual motives and boundary management on the relationship between affordances and employees’ impression management strategies. Our literature review and proposed framework provide a useful basis for future studies on impression management on ESMPs. Our framework also helps employees manage impressions strategically and managers and ESMPs’ developers to fulfil ESMPs’ potential by understanding how affordance affects impression management strategies.  相似文献

针对企业信息化咨询的创新问题,通过综述企业信息化咨询的实践与理论研究现状,提出咨询服务与软件产品是企业信息化咨询中的两类产品,两者在知识服务与知识创新的层面上具备一体化的基础和意义。通过引入新增长理论,在知识生产层面确立了两者的一体化的理论依据,进而借助知识生产理论,分别提出了以个人和组织为主体的、基于"创新-扩散"的知识生产过程的企业信息化咨询的知识生产模式。对企业信息化咨询的创新研究提出了新思路。  相似文献

The role of the Data Processing or Information Department is to bridge the gap between the available information technology and the use and users of that technology in the organization at large. Changes in available technology and changes in the nature or scale of information use engender changes in the way the Information Department carries out its mediating role. The growth in the volume of end-user requests for systems, and the character of the systems requested, have made traditional DP methods inadequate. This has led to changes in the organization of work in these departments. This paper presents international survey data on a number of different strategies that have been used to enable Information Departments better to meet enduser demands. It considers factors which lead to the adoption of different strategies in different circumstances. Data from USA, Japan, UK and Scandinavia are used to examine some of the social and cultural factors which can influence the organization of the Information Department.  相似文献

The ability to internationalize has become a competitive necessity for many SMEs, enabling their survival and access to larger markets. From an IS research perspective, one important issue is the strategic role played by the firm's IT capabilities in responding to greater environmental uncertainty and correspondingly greater information requirements, and in enabling the firm's internationalization performance. Given that such a major aspect of the influence of IT on the performance of SMEs has so far been ignored, the following research question is posed: to what extent does the match between the IT capabilities and information requirements of SMEs contribute to their internationalization performance? Our research model and hypotheses are based on Tushman and Nadler's information processing model. In revisiting this model, the aim was to show its continued relevancy and extend its domain of applicability. In order to answer the research question, we conduct a survey-based empirical study of 174 Canadian SMEs that have internationalized their activities. Our results show that a better match between IT capabilities and information requirements does indeed exert a positive influence on internationalization performance. We also find that the SMEs’ IT capabilities are influenced externally by the environmental uncertainty and internally by their internationalization mode.  相似文献

This paper explores the much ignored but critically important subject of the perceived relationship between information and communications technology (ICT), information management (IM) and knowledge management (KM). Defining the border between ICT, IM and KM, and especially the maturity remains a highly debatable topic. These issues could be concisely summarized as being diverse and problematic and located across the spectrum of views. Prior studies suggest that even though KM is strongly entrenched and rests on the foundation of ICT and IM, very little is reported in the literature on ICT and IM as enablers to KM. From a large urban South African University engaged in numerous collaboration programs with industry, the authors gained insight into growth of KM maturity in industry groupings over a 5-year period. The authors applied an inventory developed by Kruger and Snyman [Kruger, C. J., & Snyman, M. M. M. (2007). A guideline for assessing the knowledge management maturity of organizations. In total 434 employees were interviewed over three group levels (operational, middle and senior management). This paper applies concepts drawn from KM to Art Education. Specifically, the purpose of this paper is to study the knowledge types, knowledge sources, knowledge processes as well as factors affecting these processes in Art Education. The research was carried out using an interpretative case study methodology in Singapore. Apart from 26 one-to-one interviews conducted with various stakeholders of the Art Education community, on-site observations were made at 19 different Art Education events. Four major findings emerged. One, the knowledge types of Art Education in Singapore were a blend of different knowledge domains. Two, perceptible knowledge sources were those which conveyed an appearance of authority. Three, knowledge processes in Art Education were steeply humanistic. Finally, factors that affected knowledge processes were (i) the highly competitive Singapore education system, (ii) management support and policies, (iii) personal values and interests, (iv) workload and (v) the absorptive capacity of Art teachers. This paper concludes with a number of research and practical implications.  相似文献
