A Rhetorical Approach to Single-Sourcing Via Intertextuality

A recent technique called single-sourcing has evolved to handle complex documents that involve content replication. Current rhetorical theories are insufficient to analyze this technique. This essay offers a background rooted in the poetic movements of Anglo-American Imagism and Russian Acmeism. Through developing an intertextuality of induction, rhetorical structure, and emphasis on craft, the poetic traditions inform examples of how these concepts apply to pedagogical and paradigmatic approaches to single-sourcing.

This article (a) outlines the capacities and characteristics currently available in computer technology as they relate to the tasks and methods of counselor education and (b) reviews available computer system models and limitations in terms of implications for use in training efforts.

Delivering Effective Instruction Via the Web

Abstract

In view of the phenomenal growth of the World Wide Web, web‐based instruction has gained a great deal of popularity in many educational discussions. Creating effective instruction via the web requires that faculty spend a great deal of time planning and developing strategies to address this new environment with new instructional techniques. Web‐based instruction is comprised of three stages: design, development and delivery. The purpose of this article is to describe the steps necessary successfully to take a traditionally taught graduate course to an effectively taught web‐based course. This article describes the web‐based experiences of faculty that learned first hand the opportunities and challenges associated with web‐based instruction.

基于Moodle平台的大学英语教学模式的研究与实践

基于Moodle平台的大学英语教学模式把网络与多媒体技术融为一体,以学生为中心,实现了大学英语教学"立体化、网络化、个性化"。实验样本为二年级非英语本科生299人,进行了15周的教学实验。研究中使用了测试、问卷调查和访谈等研究工具收集数据。结果表明实验组学生英语水平的提高优于对照组学生,两组效果测试成绩有显著差异,证实了该教学模式在提高学生的英语水平和能力方面起到了积极作用。

文章以调查问卷的形式,随机对黑龙江省4所高校的学生进行了文化自信视域下的社会主义核心价值观培育现状的调查。调查结果表明,当代大学生的社会主义核心价值观培育受到各种因素影响,存在一定的问题和不足。从文化自信的视角出发,通过树立中国特色社会主义先进文化自信、打造校园文化自信氛围、增强思想政治理论课文化自信、全方位凝聚文化自信的主体力量、创新形式多样的文化接受方式,以此促进大学生社会主义核心价值观培育路径重构。
