网络会话中所使用的语言是一种特殊的语言变体,和我们在日常面对面交际中使用的语言存在着一定的差距。"中英"语码转换现象是网络会话语言中一种独特的语言现象。本文从Jef Verschueren的语用顺应理论的角度对网络聊天室中存在的"中英"语码转换现象进行探讨,阐述其发生的原因、社会语用功能及其与发生在面对面交际中的语码转换现象的语言特性的不同。     

基于系统功能语篇分析背景研究大学英语新型阅读教学模式

本文吸收了国外“话语分析”的理论 ,对英语教学培养学生思维能力的问题提出了一种解决的方案 :即把每次语篇分析均当作一次训练和拓宽学生思维的过程 ,让学生在“问题和情境”中听、说、读、写和思 ,以达到发展思维能力的目的     

基于ERP技术的英汉汉英宾语语码转换的认知神经机制研究

本文研究中国学习者加工句子层面的英汉汉英宾语语码转换时的认知神经机制。结果表明(1)加工英汉语码转换时,转换后的单词诱发更大P200和N400;(2)加工汉英语码转换时,转换后的单词诱发更大的LAN和LPC;(3)英汉汉英转换代价的非对称性表现在汉英比英汉语码转换产生更大的P200、LAN和LPC。据此,我们认为在句子层面存在英汉汉英宾语语码转换效应及其非对称性,并基于IC 模型与BIA+模型,构建了宾语语码转换的加工模型。     

外贸英语函电的语篇分析

受传统的语言分析模式影响与束缚,已有研究大都孤立地从词汇、句法、语法等角度对外贸英语函电的语言特征进行分析,较少从语篇角度对其进行研究。本文从句子衔接、段落结构、语篇思维模式和篇章组织结构等整体的全局的视角出发,分析了外贸英语函电的语篇特征。     

浅谈职校英语的语篇分析教学的实施

Empowering discourse: discourse analysis as method and practice in the sociology classroom

Collaborative learning and critical pedagogy are widely recognized as ‘empowering’ pedagogies for higher education. Yet, the practical implementation of both has a mixed record. The question, then, is: How could collaborative and critical pedagogies be empowered themselves? This paper makes a primarily theoretical case for discourse analysis (DA) as a form of classroom practice that provides a structured framework for collaborative and critical pedagogies in higher education, with a special reference to sociology classroom practice. I develop a tripartite scheme for building a framework for sociological imagination that is, first, sensitive to the discursive aspects of social reality (learning about DA). Second, I illustrate the use of DA as pedagogical tool and classroom practice (learning with DA). Third, I discuss how discourse analytical ideas can be used in evaluating classroom interaction and how these reflexive insights can be used to enhance student empowerment (learning through DA).

商务英语信函是一种常用的英语应用文体,它在贸易往来中发挥着重要作用。然而在实际的商务交流中,有些信件冗长而不连贯,有些信件不符合商务交流的基本要求。与普通信件相比商务信函有其独特的语篇特点。语篇是一个在一定语境下表示完整意义的语言单位,衔接和连贯是语言形式和它们所包含的意义连接成语篇的手段。为了有效地利用商务英语信函进行商务交流,我们有必要对商务英语信函的语篇特点进行探讨和分析。     

系统功能语法理论指导下的商务英语听说语篇分析

系统功能语言学把商务英语听说语篇视作表达意义的系统和资源,认为其语篇、语言特点由其所要实现的功能决定的,商务英语听说语篇也有其三大纯理功能。实践证明,运用系统功能语言学理论来分析商务英语听说语篇有利于较好地揭示语篇特点并解释出现这些特点的原因。     

Mum and Dad prefer me to speak Bengali at home: code switching and parallel speech in a primary school setting

Although it contains a statutory inclusion statement, England's National Curriculum “hardly acknowledges the learning practices of different minority groups” ( Gregory and Williams, 2003 , p. 103). Through observation and interview, this study examines the repertoire of languages that six children for whom English is an additional language (EAL) choose to use at home and in their primary school settings in the West of England. The study bears out and extends previous research, which indicates that children from various ethnic backgrounds are involved in a struggle where they construct and reconstruct their identities according to the social situations they find themselves in. In addition to code switching between languages, the study reports on children using ‘bilingual parallel speech’, an unresearched practice. It shows that there may be a tension between schools' efforts to build upon the children's use of the home language and the children's reluctance to use it in a school setting, where the dominant institutional language is English, and where they would prefer to appear ‘like everyone else’. Social capital would appear to be an important factor affecting children's use of language and this may make them reluctant to maintain and develop their home language. Schools may need to consider strategies that value bilingual children's commonality with the school culture.

研究教师话语对于改善教师课堂话语质量、提高课堂教育教学质量具有重要作用。文章以英语教师真实课堂为研究对象,对比分析了英语教师课堂话语及其产生的效果,提出了IR[I1R1(I2R2)]F英语课堂话语模式这一会话策略。

Pedagogising poverty alleviation: a discourse analysis of educational and social policies in Argentina and Chile

For the past decades international organisations and governments have promoted and implemented analogous education policies on the grounds that education is the key factor to foster development and fight poverty. This article sets the context of these educational programmes and analyses their discourse on poverty in Argentina and Chile. Then, it shows how they institutionalise strict surveillance, institutional denigration of the poor and professional scepticism. In general, the conclusions underpin one hypothesis that leads the analysis: eventually, these targeted education policies ‘pedagogise’ poverty alleviation in that they aim to ‘instil flexible identities’ into the poor rather than open channels for social inclusion.
