In order to find a safe, simple, effective and selective pulmonary vasodilator, we tested the effectiveness and safety of inhalation of nebulized nitroglycerin (Neb-NTG) by children with ventricular septal defect and pulmonary hypertension (VSD-PH). Twenty μg/kg Neb-NTG was inhaled by seven children with VSD-PH using face mask during cardiac catheterization. The pulmonary artery pressure (PAP), systemic arterial pressure (SAP) and methemoglobin (MetHb) concentration were measured before and after inhalation of Neb-NTG. After inhalation of Neb-NTG, the PAP and pulmonary-to-systemic pressure ratio (Pp/Ps) decreased significantly; There was no significant decrease in SAP. The systolic and diastolic PAP decreased respectively 13±4% and 9±7% in 5 min, 21±3% and 13±17% in 10 min, 24±3% and 16±19% in 15 min. The Pp/Ps decreased 12±4% in 5 min, 21±9% in 10 min and 24±6% in 15 min. There was no significant increase in the MetHb level after inhalation of 20 μg/kg of Neb-NTG. The MetHb level was below 1.5%. Neb-NTG is a safe, simple, effective and selective pulmonary vasodilator.  相似文献

Idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension(IPAH) is a rare disease of unknown etiology.The exact pathogenesis of pulmonary arterial hypertension is still not well known.In the past decades,many protein molecules have been found to be in-volved in the development of IPAH.With proteomic techniques,profiling of human plasma proteome becomes more feasible in searching for disease-related markers.In present study,we showed the protein expression profiles of the serum of IPAH and healthy controls after depleting a few high-abundant proteins in serum.Thirteen spots had changed significantly in IPAH com-pared with healthy controls and were identified by LC-MS/MS.Alpha-1-antitrypsin and vitronectin were down-regulated in IPAH and may be valuable candidates for further explorations of their roles in the development of IPAH.  相似文献

Angiogenesis is required for solid tumor growth and facilitates tumor progression and metastasis. The inhibition effects of O-(chloroacetyl-carbamoyl) fumagillol (TNP-470), an angiogenesis inhibitor, and gemcitabine, a chemotherapeutic agent, on expression of growth factors were investigated using human pulmonary adenocarcinoma cell line, A549. The A549 cells were divided into four groups: control group, 10^-6 mg/ml gemcitabine treated group, 10^-4 mg/ml TNP-470 treated group and gemcitabine+TNP-470 treated group. The mRNA and protein expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptors, FMS-like tyrosine kinase-l (FLT-1) and kinase insert domain-containing receptor (KDR), in different groups were measured. The growth of A549 cell cultured with gemcitabine or TNP-470 was inhibited in an almost dose-dependent manner. Although gemcitabine (10^-6 mg/ml) alone and TNP-470 (10^-4 mg/ml) alone had no effect on the mRNA and protein expression of VEGF and its receptors (FLT-1, KDR) in A549 cells compared to the control (P〉0.05), 10^-6 mg/ml gemcitabine in combination with 10^-4 mg/ml TNP-470 had significant effect (P〈0.01). Moreover, combination of the two drugs significantly inhibited the mRNA expression of VEGF, FLT-1 and KDR compared to either drug alone (P〈0.05). This study suggests that combined treatment with TNP-470 plus gemcitabine may augment the antiangiogenic and antineoplastic effects in lung cancer cells in vitro.  相似文献

Objective:To investigate the effect of enalapril on plasma homocysteine(Hcy) levels and the association of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR) C677T polymorphism with the changes of Hcy levels in response to enalapril among patients with essential hypertension.Methods:A total of 130 patients with mild-to-moderate essential hypertension were enrolled and enalapril was orally administered at a dose of 10 mg/d for eight weeks.Plasma Hcy levels were measured by denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography(DHPLC) at baseline and after eight weeks of treatment.Genotyping of MTHFR C677T polymorphism was performed by TaqMan probe technique.Results:Compared with baseline,plasma Hcy levels did not change significantly after eight weeks(P=0.81).Stratified by baseline Hcy levels,a significant increase in plasma Hcy levels(P=0.02) among those with Hcy 10 μmol/L was observed,in contrast to no significant changes in plasma Hcy levels(P=0.54) among those with Hcy ≥10 μmol/L.No significant association was observed between MTHFR C677T polymorphism and changes in Hcy levels in response to enalapril.Conclusions:Enalapril may cause an increase in plasma Hcy levels among the hypertensives with low baseline Hcy levels.There was no significant association between MTHFR C677T genotypes and changes in Hcy levels in response to enalapril among subjects with essential hypertension.  相似文献

目的 :探讨 p2 7Kip1、VEGF在胆管癌中的表达及相互关系。 方法 :采用免疫组化技术检测 32例胆管癌标本中p2 7Kip1及VEGF的表达。结果 :p2 7Kip1、VEGF在胆管癌和正常胆管组织中的阳性表达率分别为 5 6 .2 5 %和 11.1% (P <0 .0 1) ;81.2 5 %和 33.3% (P <0 .0 1)。p2 7Kip1、VEGF在胆管癌中的表达具有相关性 (P <0 .0 5 ) ,与分化程度、转移水平有关 ,与大小、生存期无关。结论 :p2 7Kip1、VEGF在胆管癌中高表达 ,p2 7Kip1、VEGF与胆管癌的发生、发展有关。  相似文献

目的探讨各级高血压病与颈动脉硬化之间的关系。方法对558例高血压病患者的颈动脉内膜中层厚度(IMT)、斑块发生率进行检查分析,并与209例健康成人对照。结果各级高血压患者颈动脉IMT与对照组相比均有明显增加;各级高血压病患者颈动脉IMT之间进行比较亦显示出显著性差异;颈动脉IMT随高血压分级增加而逐渐增厚。结论血压增高与高血压病患者颈动脉变化密切相关,颈动脉超声检测对于防治高血压及其并发症具有重要意义。  相似文献

Left-sided portal hypertension (LSPH) followed by acute pancreatitis is a rare condition with most patients being asymptomatic. In cases where gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding is present, however, the condition is more complicated and the mortality is very high because of the difficulty in diagnosing and selecting optimal treatment. A successfully treated case with severe GI bleeding by transcatheter splenic artery embolization is reported in this article. The patient exhibited severe uncontrollable GI bleeding and was confirmed as gastric varices secondary to LSPH by enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan and CT-angiography. After embolization, the bleeding stopped and stabilized for the entire follow-up period without any severe complications. In conclusion, embolization of the splenic artery is a simple, safe, and effective method of controlling gastric variceal bleeding caused by LSPH in acute pancreatitis.  相似文献

目的探讨妊高征患者血清免疫球蛋白(IgG、Ig M、IgA)及补体C_3的变化规律及它们在妊高征发病中的作用。方法对75例妊高征患者(轻度25例,中度30例,重度20例),与正常妊娠组(60例)血清免疫球蛋白和补体C_3进行比较。结果与正常妊娠组比较,血IgG水平在轻、中、重度妊高征组中差异非常显著(P<0.01);血Ig M、IgA水平及补体C_3水平在轻度妊高征组中无显著差异(P>0.05),但在中、重度妊高征组中显著差异(P<0.01)。结论妊高征患者血清免疫球蛋白及补体C_3的浓度均低于正常妊娠组,其生理性免疫功能受到抑制。  相似文献

[目的]探讨乳腺癌细胞基质金属蛋白酶-2的表达及其与侵袭、转移的关系.[方法]免疫组织化学方法检测60例乳腺癌患者癌组织中MMP-2表达.[结果]MMP-2的表达在乳腺癌细胞明显高于正常乳腺细胞(P<0.01);淋巴结转移组明显高于非淋巴结转移组(P<0.01);在中、低分化组明显高于高分化组(P.<0.01).但与组织学类型无关(P<0.05).[结果]乳腺癌的MMP-2的表达与其侵袭、转移可能相关.  相似文献

It has long been established that an effective citizenship education in a multicultural society must incorporate some exposure to a variety of views on different topics. However, the ability and willingness to deal with difference relating to controversial matters of national identity, narrative and conflict vary. This is not least the case in the ethno-nationally divided and conflict-affected jurisdictions of Northern Ireland and Israel. This article relates qualitative research conducted among students, teachers and policy-makers in these two jurisdictions that explores the area of dealing with difference within citizenship education. Using the starting point of a framework based on international law on education, the article goes on to consider how freedom of expression and non-discrimination are variously interpreted and balanced when exploring controversial issues in the classroom of a divided society.  相似文献
