以清华同方中国知网CNKI下载与引证数据库、Elsevier公司的Scopus和Science Direct数据库、汤森路透公司的Web of Science数据库为数据源,选取《中国天然药物》2003年5月创刊至2010年发表的文章,对《中国天然药物》的高下载与高引证文章的作者进行分析,探讨编委对高引证、高下载文章的贡献,总结编委在提高办刊质量与期刊的影响力上发挥的关键作用,着重探讨编辑部应该做好编委服务工作。

《中国天然药物》创刊8年、全英文出版2年即被SCI收录,成为我国第2家被SCI收录的药学期刊。本文在回顾该刊发展历程的基础上,总结提炼该刊被SCI收录的核心要素,主要包括创刊定位明确,特色鲜明,组建具有国际影响力的编委会和高效务实的编辑部,具有国际化视野,与Elsevier合作出版国际网络版,采用ScholarOne稿件处理系统,以及注重利用高校平台进行国际化宣传。

通过对中国知网CNKI数据库下载<中国天然药物>数据的分析,研究学术期刊专栏组稿策划与影响网络下载率的相关因素,分析高下载文章集中度与组稿质量的关系,探讨学术期刊专栏策划与品牌衍生的方式与途径.结果验证了重点管理法引入编辑管理的实效,同时为调整组稿策划方案提供决策依据.

Creating an Evidence-Based Culture Within the Schools of Public Health and Medicine

Information technology is having a huge influence on health care. With ease of access and an abundance of information, today's health care personnel are expected to practice and develop policies or programs based upon evidence in order to avoid inefficiency and ineffectiveness. Our library has the responsibility to serve the needs of students, faculty, and practitioners of medicine and public health and strives to create an information literate workforce. In this article, the authors reflect on the library's instruction program and evaluate and plan for the future order to determine if the library's instruction program is properly developing an evidence-based medical and public health workforce.     

Natural Standard--new integrative medicine database

Natural Standard is a new and extremely easy-to-use database consisting of comprehensive evidence-based medicine monographs, and also news brief's on the subject of complementary/alternative medicine therapies. It does not yet contain a huge amount of material, but it is updated frequently, and new information is continuously added. The focus is on the therapeutic "bottom line" of treatment safety and effectiveness. Dosing, Precautions/Adverse Effects, Pregnancy/Lactation Data, and Interactions information is all clearly displayed along with a "Review of the Evidence" table and a discussion summarizing the overall therapeutic value of the treatment modality.     

中文科技期刊应服务国家重大战略需求 ——以《自然资源学报》为例

本文以《自然资源学报》为例,系统介绍2019年1月1日至2021年10月25日在服务国家重大战略需求方面的实践以及取得的成效,以期为其他中文科技期刊的发展提供借鉴与参考。2年多来,《自然资源学报》紧密结合国家重大战略需求打造精品栏目,主动策划并主办专题会议推出专辑/专栏,凝练战略咨询报告提升社会服务能力,量身定制专题论文推出笔谈或访谈丰富刊文格式的实践,在来稿数量增加和来稿质量改善、期刊综合影响实力提升和人才培养等方面取得了一些成效,并得到良好的社会和学界反响。中文科技期刊要想提高期刊学术影响力,维持期刊竞争优势,必须紧密结合国家重大战略需求,找到适合个刊的有效方法,从而实现可持续发展。

CMA Infobase: Clinical Practice Guidelines

ABSTRACT

The CMA Infobase is a free Web-based resource that contains evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. The database is maintained by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and is available on its Web site. The CMA Infobase currently contains 1,200-plus clinical practice guidelines either developed or endorsed by an authoritative health care organization located in Canada. It is an alternative source of free clinical practice guidelines to the National Guideline Clearinghouse. This column will cover the basics of CMA Infobase, including searching, special features, and available resources which complement the database.     

OTseeker helps library and allied health professionals to find quality evidence efficiently

Background: Research is essential for evidence‐based practice yet many health professionals do not have enough time to find research. Studies relevant to occupational therapists can be particularly difficult to find. Most search engines are broad and return a large number of irrelevant articles. Occupational Therapy Systematic Evaluation of Evidence (OTseeker) is an occupational therapy database available at http://www.otseeker.com . Developed by Australian occupational therapists, the resource aims to increase access to research and support clinical decision making. This discipline‐specific database contains pre‐appraised information from a variety of sources and decreases the time required to locate best evidence. Objectives: The aims of this paper are to: (i) describe how health librarians can use OTseeker to help allied health students, researchers and practitioners, particularly in occupational therapy, to find quality evidence; (ii) provide a teaching resource for health librarians based around the OTseeker evidence database; and (iii) highlight new features contained on the OTseeker database. Methods: A case study is provided which focuses on searching for evidence on the effectiveness of upper limb rehabilitation after stroke using OTseeker. Conclusion: This paper may increase the knowledge, skills and competencies of health librarians, helping them to access evidence‐based databases, and educate other professionals.     

Academic Research Journals in Medical Sociology,Medical Anthropology,and Contemporary Social Medicine: A Focus on Public and Global Health

A bibliography of 31 academic journals in medical sociology, medical anthropology, and contemporary social medicine with a focus on public and global health is provided. Along with basic identifying information, the bibliometric measures of Eigenfactor, Article Influence Score, SCImago Journal Rank, and H-index have been specified for each journal when available. Brief annotations along with both Library of Congress and medical subject headings are supplied. Though some limitations are acknowledged, this bibliography serves as a valuable tool for locating and selecting a wide range of periodical scholarship devoted to the social and cultural features of health and medicine.
