司马迁所读之《招魂》是《大招》吗？

本文认为，潘啸龙先生对《招魂》的作者及其价值判断所持的观点是不对的，认为司马迁所读《招魂》的作者是屈原而不是宋玉；《大招》乃汉人仿作；《招魂》的思想价值也不是表现在对历史文化与民俗的认识上，而是屈原的抒情写怀之作

关于《楚辞·招魂》的作者,自汉至明清,学界多围绕屈原或宋玉为中心展开论述,民国开始,又生发出诸如宋玉屈原合作、作者不详等论说。而在当今没有更为直观和权威的文献资料情况下,结合历代学者的研究角度及其论证过程来看,还是《招魂》乃宋玉拟屈原作这一观点更为可信。     

《楚辞》的体例和《招魂》的对象

确定《楚辞》的体例,不宜以颇有附会之辞的王逸序言为依据,而应考察《楚辞》各篇的实际情况。由于《楚辞》成书不同阶段所收屈原作品有“疑不能明”的误传因素,增辑者所附己作的主旨和体式亦有不同,故《楚辞》并无所谓“非屈原作品,均代屈原设言”、“以屈原为第一人称口气抒写”的统一体例。因此,用这种“体例”去推断宋玉《招魂》必为“代屈原自招其魂”,是不科学的。宋玉《招魂》的创作背景,当与楚襄王射猎云梦、惊兕失魂有关,其所招应为楚襄王之生魂。但宋玉只是借此作为创作这篇瑰玮辞章的由头,《招魂》本身并不是巫师实际招魂的咒文。     

《招魂》作者问题的考辩

在总结归纳前人对此有关论述基础上,从《招魂》这一文学本体出发,通过对《招魂》结构、内容的分析,试图证明《招魂》的作者并非屈原,可能是传说的另一人——宋玉。

对于楚辞中的《招魂》一文，学术界一直争论不休。争论的问题一是作者是谁；二是到底招谁的魂。本文认为，《招魂》为屈原所作，其所招之魂为屈原之生魂。因此，《招魂》所表现的是屈原魂归楚国的愿望，并以此抒发了作者的爱国情思
