三种英语语法体系简评

我们曾多次讲授《英语语法》课程,深感几种英语语法体系不易廓清。本文仅根据语言学领域的最新发展,主要介绍三种语法体系:(1)传统语法;(2)结构语法;(3)转换语法。希望对一些有兴趣钻研语法理论的读者起个抛砖引玉的作用。     

对"无意义"的一点认识

根据Leech《语义学》的论述,结合相关内容,归纳出语义学范畴的“无意义”,结合汉语用例,讨论不同层次上的“无意义”,指出意义是由人类赋予语言符号的,不存在绝对的无意义。     

英语比较等级的分析化与多元化趋势

英语Lancaster大学语官学与现代英语系教授、英国学院院士Geoffrey N. Leech在他的《英语语法的过去、现在与未来》的演讲中指出,英语语法出现由屈折语向孤立语演变的趋势。这种总的发展趋势表现在英语语法的各个侧面。本文试图从英语比较等级的分析化与多元化两方面说明这一演变趋势。     

“语言是什么?”

词义分类及其在教学中的运用

英国著名语言学家杰弗里·利奇(Geoffrey Leech)在他的《语义学》(Semantics)中,把词义分为七种主要类型:概念意义、内涵意义、文体意义、感情意义、联想意义、搭配意义和主题意义.这一分类法为我们正确和全面地认识词汇的各种意义,改进英语词汇教学提供了科学的理论依据.本文将概括地介绍一下词义的这七种类型,谈谈在英语教学中运用不同的词义类型的一些实际体会.
