试论跨文化意识在翻译教学中的培养

翻译作为一种不同语言之间的转化活动,不仅涉及语言,还涉及语言所承载的文化。由此可见,翻译是一种跨文化的交流,没有跨文化意识就无法翻译出语言真正的含义,因而翻译教学中必须重视培养学生的跨文化意识。基于此,着重对英语翻译教学中如何培养跨文化意识进行探究。     

文化差异在英语教学中的运用

中西文化和语言存在差异。作为文化差异的一部分,语言差异反映着本质上的文化差异。培养学生的跨文化交际能力,要帮助学生认识中西文化差异的本质,才能使学生正确地理解语言差异,灵活运用英语进行跨文化的交际。文化与语言密不可分。本文在分析文化差异的基础上,试图通过课堂教学中的文化渗透使学习者真正达到真正学会语言,使用语言之目的。     

跨文化语境下英语交际能力的培养

新的历史时期,随着不断加快的经济全球化步伐和日益频繁的多元文化交流,开始不断凸显由于文化差异而导致的跨文化语境障碍。在外语学习中,如果对中西方文化差异不了解,那么就仅仅是对语言知识的学习,不能真正实现交际的目标。所以,在跨文化语境下,必须着重培养大学生的英语语言交际能力,通过在口语交际过程中提高跨文化意识,真正促进学生跨文化交际能力的提升。

跨文化交际能力的培养是英语教学的宗旨。外语学习者要想真正获得跨文化交际能力,不仅要培养并获得语言能力,还要获得同目的语国家的人民进行语言交际和非语言交际的文化能力。外语教学不仅要注重语言教学,而且应注重文化知识的传授,让学生获得知识文化,养成摄取交际文化的习惯,提高跨文化交际能力。
