The assumptions of the Educational Revolution of Mao Zedong in his late years arc tightly interrelated with his attempt to revitalize and realize the ideals of Chinese society. The practices of the Educational Revolution during the Great Cultural Revolution can be traced back to Mao Zedong's thought. Among all of the educational propositions put forward by Mao Zedong in his late years, the most influential and the most far-reaching for the education policies and practices are the following three directives, which symbolize Mao's educational ideals. The first one is the May 7^th Directive, the second one is the July 21^st Directive, and the third one is the directive for workers and peasants to control and administer the schools. These three directives challenged the fundamental problems of China's educational system, such as the aim and task of schooling, the forms and systems of education, and the leadership and control of schools.  相似文献

Over the last century, the development of didactics (教学论) in China has been profoundly influenced by Kairov’s theory of pedagogics. The German Didaktik tradition, which can date back to Comenius and Herbart, remains largely unknown to educational scholars in China while they possess basic knowledge of Comenius and Herbart. This article expounds three basic tenets of the German Didaktik tradition—(1) the concept of Bildung, (2) a theory of educational content, and (3) the idea of teaching as a learner-content encounter—and discusses the implications for developing Chinese didactics. It argues for a rethinking of the purposes, content, and practice of teaching with respect to the subjectification aim of education (i.e., the becoming of unique individuals, with autonomy, critical thinking, and creativity).  相似文献

Three professors of education reflected on education in their countries of origin, and compare their education with learning, teaching and the education in the United States. The three countries represented are China prior to the political and economical reforms starting from 1979, Iran prior to the Islamic Republic of 1979, and the Russian Federation of the Former Soviet Union prior to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Certain aspects of education such as the curriculum, pedagogy, length of schooling, methods of teaching, the textbooks, and priorities and goals of schooling in each country are discussed. This article is a comparison of the educational system of each country with the American educational system as well as among the three countries. The article concludes with each author offering some ideas on how the American educational system might benefit from the experience of the other countries.  相似文献

In spite of having undergone one Century's vicissitude, China's educational management studies are still lagging behind those abroad. Two research lines, one being induction and generalization, another being deduction and transplantation, have been roughly evolved over these studies. Both of them have reached the level of empirical science. Since 1980s, they have developed in an unprecedented way. However, there are still some problems existing in this field. The first one is tha(a clan of multi-echeloned and multi-typed educational management studies has been multiplied in the way of trying to jump over certain developing phases and to obtain instant success and quick profits. The second one is the concept of what is educational management studies is still unclear, thus leading to ambiguous ideas or even confusions on this issue. The third one is that the study on educational management and the study on educational economy are forced to be tied together and become one by human forces, thus hampering the development of either field. Therefore, it is necessary to make reflections on and criticisms on these confused phenomena so as to preserve standardization and identity of this discipline and promote its healthy development.  相似文献

The paper analyzes the nature of the basic education, and points out that the scarcity, disparity and exclusiveness to a certain degree form the inner reasons of school choice in China. In review of the policy evolution of governing the school choice problems, and analyzing the policy framework of the current stage, the paper holds that expanding public expenditure is the basis of providing adequate, fair and quality compulsory education and high school education, and the role of social forces should be brought into full play so as to promote the diverse ways of delivering educational services. In reality, the significant institutional guarantee to govern the problem of school choice in China is to transform the government function and build the government more public service oriented, implement the government accountability system and build transparent public debate sphere.  相似文献

In today's China, there exists a self-contradictory fact——on the one hand, China is in short of educational resources, and the average educational level of the total population is fairly low; on the other hand, many graduates are facing difficulties in finding positions or are taking positions requiring lower degree employees, which leads to so-called over-education and intellectual unemployment phenomenon in China. The paper analyzes the nature and causes of the over-education phenomenon. It argues that the present over-education phenomenon in China does not mean the surplus of the total educational amount, but is actually the result of "structural in-equilibrium" of higher education. The underlying reasons can be traced back to the influence of Chinese traditional culture, the existence of binary economic structure, administrative-led educational system, and inflexible market-information transferring system.  相似文献

This paper explores how the concept of social capital developed by Bourdieu and Coleman as well as the Chinese concept of guanxi (关系) or relationships facilitates students’ access to postgraduate education in a case study of a university in southeast China. The study comprises an initial survey of 381 first-year postgraduate students and a series of interviews with 30 participants. Social capital and guanxi inform analysis of the data. The results reveal that students from different social backgrounds employ different forms of social capital and guanxi networks in their decision-making about postgraduate education. They contribute to conceptualizations of how social capital is generated through guanxi in the Chinese educational context.  相似文献

This article will focus on five key areas relating to Primary TEFL in China.Firstly,the real TEFL context in Chinese primary schools will be discussed in terms of its special characteristics.Secondly,the current methodological approach will be examined from both a theoretical perspective,focusing on government(MOE)policy for primary TEFL,and a practical perspective,based on personal observations of classroom practice.The third section of the article will highlight some perceived shortcomings of current practice,while the fourth will outline the actual needs of primary learners in the Chinese educational system.Finally,the question of how teachers can meet these needs will be examined in relation to:methodological integration; integration of skills and sub-skills teaching/learning;and the exploitation of materials and activities to provide learners with three different types of language input and output opportunities(extensive,intensive and analysed:Swan,2006).  相似文献

The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) initiated the Second International Technology in Education Study (SITES)--A longitudinal large-scale international comparative survey on the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in schools. The goal is to understand how ICTs effect teaching and learning in schools. SITES 2006 was the third module in this program to determine how teachers use ICTs, and to find out how school and education system factors influence teachers' pedagogical orientation. SITES 2006 administered three questionnaires: one for school principals, one for technology coordinators, and one for mathematics and science teachers, around 400 schools in each of 23 education systems. The main study took place during 2005-2007. This paper describes the South African educational context, provides an overview of the South African participation, speculates on South Africa's future participation, and provides a comparative glimpse of the use of ICTs in South African mathematics and science classrooms.  相似文献

Representative pioneer tree root systems in the subtropical area of South China were examined with regard to their structure, underground stratification and biomass distribution. Excavation of skeleton roots and observation of fine roots of seven species including the Euphorbiaceae, Theaceae, Melastomataceae, Lauraceae and Fagaceae families was carried out. The results showed that: (1) Pioneer tree roots in the first stage of natural succession were of two types, one characterized by taproot system with bulky plagiotropic branches; the other characterized by flat root system with several tabular roots. The late mesophilous tree roots were characterized by one obvious taproot and tactic braches roots up and down. Shrub species roots were characterized by heart fibrous root type featured both by horizontally and transversally growing branches. Root shapes varied in different dominant species at different stages of succession. (2) Roots of the different species varied in the external features-color, periderm and structure of freshly cut slash. (3) In a set of successional stages the biomass of tree roots increased linearly with the age of growth. During monsoon, the total root biomass amounted to 115.70 t/ha in the evergreen broadqeaved forest; 50.61 t/ha in needle and broad-leaved mixed forest dominated by coniferous forest; and 64.20 t/ha in broad-and needle-leaved mixed forest dominated by broad-leaved heliophytes, and are comparable to the underground biomass observed in similar tropical forests. This is the first report about roots characteristics of forest in the lower sub-tropical area of Dinghushan, Guangdong, China.  相似文献

Moral evaluation based on dialogue is the inevitable result of the generation of the dialogue paradigm of moral education in the pluralistic society and the application of the fourth generation of evaluation theory in the educational field. Moral education based on dialogue is a kind of evaluation that is based on educational dialogue. In addition to the general equality and openness for dialogue, the main feature is its educational nature whose main expression is its inner authority. The educational nature makes it possible to achieve the moral education evaluation function based on dialogue. The achievement of moral education evaluation based on dialogue requires us to innovate our evaluation concept fundamentally, constructing the teacher-student relationship that is based on inclusive dialogue, adopting interactive and dialogue-type evaluation, and making a distinction of the three different types of moral education evaluation based on dialogue.  相似文献
