翻译家卞之琳研究

卞之琳是我国著名的翻译家和诗人。卞之琳在诗歌的研究、创作和翻译方面都取得了很大的成就,为我国新诗的口语化、格律化的发展做出了很大的贡献。他所提出的“诗人译诗,以诗译诗;格律译诗,以顿代步”的翻译主张对我们今天的诗歌翻译仍然具有积极的指导作用。他用诗歌体裁翻译的莎剧,也成为了格律体莎剧译文的代表作。     

现代诗歌自译中的意象明晰化——以卞之琳自译诗为例

卞之琳是中国现代诗歌的积极开拓者和实践者,“汉园三诗人”之一。他的诗歌集《十年诗草》已成为20世纪三十年代诗歌创作走向的典型代表,其诗文风淳朴,意境深远,立足于现实,却超越现实,紧扣现实,又不拘泥于现实,不露声色中阐明蕴含的哲理,理性描写中抒发深层的情感。其创作的最大特征在于将诗歌意象分散镶嵌在众多现实事物之中,进而通过所描写事物的关联形成整体印象,不求直抒胸襟,情感炽烈,但求寓意于物,情理兼蓄。在进行文学创作的同时,他也是一位颇有建树的翻译家,其译作不仅涉及英文经典,也包括对本人诗歌的自译,形成了自己独立的“信,似,译”翻译理念,并提出了“诗人译诗,以诗译诗;格律译诗,以顿代步”的翻译主张。本文以卞之琳《十年诗草》中自译诗为例,通过分析意象的明晰化翻译,以期对他译现代诗歌提供一定的借鉴。     

镜花水月——卞之琳先生的情诗与情事

卞之琳的爱情诗意义隐晦，题旨深藏不露。但通过深人的文本细读，可以发现这些诗婉转地表达了他对爱情的独特感受以及他既强烈渴望又害怕表露的欲语还休的心态。诗歌真切记录了他的一段心路历程，昭示了一颗敏感、纤弱、纯洁而痛苦的心灵。     

卞之琳的智性诗问题考辨

卞之琳的智性诗体现了诗人的审美趣味从浪漫主义到象征主义的演变;诗人强调其诗歌表现的是真情实感而非智慧,他将智性理解为让世界万物显现的魔力,这一理解源于艾略特将智性作为诗歌表现情思的过程中所体现的睿智这一思想;民国批评界对智性的理解有三种,分别是作为诗歌内容的智慧、作为认识世界的方式的理性和诗歌艺术表现中所体现的机智。20世纪90年代以来,一些批评者将卞之琳的智性诗中的智性作为诗歌的表现内容而非诗歌表现的艺术,这是对西方诗学中智性这一概念的误读。     

慰劳信运动视域中的《慰劳信集》

在“慰劳信运动”风潮的感召下，卞之琳于1938—1939年陆续创作了20首“慰劳信”体诗歌，合为《慰劳信集》。从原始报刊爬梳慰劳信运动的大致过程和整体景象，可见慰劳信运动对《慰劳信集》的形式和内容产生的深刻影响：运动过程的真实场景、各阶层的意识觉醒被纳入写作题材；在慰劳信运动大众化思潮的影响下，卞之琳在择取口语词、方言词和农业意象入诗的同时，依然坚守抗战前诗歌写作的“纯诗”逻辑和形式自律，为抗战诗提供另类风格；卞之琳延续1930年代“小处敏感”的诗艺，从日常生活点滴窥见西北、华北地区新气象。

智性化:卞之琳的诗美追求

中国新诗在30年代崛起了一个“以智慧为主脑”的主智诗潮,被称为“新的智慧诗”。卞之琳更是这一诗潮的突出代表,他在30年代创作的现代主义诗歌,极力避免感情的发泄而追求智慧的凝聚,以不使人动情而使人深思为特点,在冷峻客观中隐藏着对人生哲学的思索,呈现出明显的智性化倾向。正是这一特点使得卞之琳相对地与其他现代派诗人如戴望舒、何其芳等拉开了距离,而开辟了中国现代主义诗歌探索的一条新途径,指向着未来新诗的某些趋向,继续对40年代的中国现代诗歌产生着重要影响。

The Reader Response Approach to Teaching of English Literature

During interview with English majors, it was found that a majority of students expressed disappointment with their experience of English literature classes. Students' dislike of learning English literature appears to be the major problem of teaching English literature in China. Reader response approach is a good way to solve this problem. In this paper, I explain the rationale behind the reader response approach, such as its origin, definition, features, assumptions, and strategies. Then I illustrate how reader response approach works as a teaching strategy by presenting several teaching models. At last I evaluate its usefuiness for teachers and present the advantages of reader response approach in Chinese context.
