论一流研究型大学的生发逻辑

一流大学一般是指一流研究型大学。在创办一流研究型大学过程中最重要的是人才而非是钱,特别是大学校长,而唯有杰出的大学校长才能胜任建设一流研究型大学的使命。一流研究型大学得以成长首先需要继承大学的文化基因,即必须以真理追求为使命,以责任担当为动力,以实验精神为导向,以有效组织为支撑,否则就没有根基,这构成了大学发展的内在逻辑。其次需要由杰出大学校长引领,优秀教授团队支撑,稳固的后勤保障和高效的管理维护,由此构成一流研究型大学运行逻辑。再次是依靠共生、互动、竞争、互补机制使特色生成,这构成一流研究型大学成长的生态逻辑。只有当内在逻辑、运行逻辑与生态逻辑相互契合时才能使一批一流研究型大学崛起。这一切就构成了一流研究型大学的生发逻辑。     

对我国研究型大学办学理念的思考

研究型大学的产生和存在也和其他事物一样有其深刻的历史背景。它的出现和发展是大学组织内外部双重因素共同作用的结果。研究型大学作为一个相对独立的社会主体，它是大学组织分化的结果，同时也是大学系统适应社会需要的结果。一个国家研究型大学的水平往往是这个国家知识创新水平的标志，甚至代表这个国家国际竞争力。因此，为了让我国在世界经济与科技竞争中立于不败之地，建立研究型大学迫在眉睫。然而，建立研究型大学必须有正确的办学理念作指导。研究型大学不同于一般高等学校的特征决定了其有特殊的办学理念。     

学术内外因素与20世纪上半叶美国研究型大学的发展

本文对20世纪上半叶影响美国研究型大学发展的因素进行了探讨。1900年成立的美国大学联合会不仅为美国的学术工作提供了标准,对于那些处于发展之中而又希望加入这一团体的高等学校也产生了巨大影响和示范效应;基金会的资助在为研究型大学发展提供所需经费的同时,也提高了研究型大学的科学研究能力;而欧美学术交流和欧洲学者的流入则拓展了美国学术研究的基础;校友、资金募集运动与政府的支持使研究型大学的发展获得了更为稳定的财源。这些不仅促进了美国研究型大学在20世纪上半叶的发展,对20世纪下半叶美国研究型大学的繁荣也产生了重要的、潜在的影响。

美国研究型大学的产生与发展，经历了萌芽时期、初创时期、成熟时期和调整时期等四个阶段目前美国研究型大学正面临严峻的挑战，全面改革的序幕已经拉开。虽然改革取得了一定的成效，但美国研究型大学的发展前景仍然不容乐观。
