论大学生信息素质教育

互联网飞速发展是信息化时代的重要特征,它不仅给信息传播方式带来了一场革命性的变化,同时也在各个方面改变了人类的生活。信息化时代对教育模式的影响以及对大学生信息素质的影响是多方面的,如何提高大学生的信息素质,使其能够跟上时代的发展,是教育工作者责无旁贷的责任和义务。     

美国高等教育中的信息素质标准

本文主要论述了美国高校信息素质教育研究的一个重要方面－－美国高等教育信息素质标准问题，对该标准提出的历史背景、标准的内容和特点进行了明确而又精炼的分析和论述，为促进我国高校信息素质教育的发展提供理论依据。     

Library school education for medical librarianship.

This paper reviews the current situation in library school education for medical librarianship in the United States and Canada based on information from a questionnaire sent to teachers of courses in medical librarianship in accredited library schools. Since 1939, when the first course devoted entirely to medical librarianship was offered at Columbia University, courses have been introduced into the curricula of at least forty-seven of the ALA-accredited library schools. In 1978 there were seventy courses available through forty-seven library schools. Possibilities for specialization in medical librarianship are examined. Course content is reviewed. Implications of the MLA certification examination for library school courses are explored.

文章以信息素质的定义、内涵和标准为基础,介绍了国内外信息素质教育理论研究与实践进行的情况。     

公众信息素养教育:全球进展及我国的对策

信息素养自20世纪70年代在美国被提出之后,受到世界各国的普遍重视,联合国教科文组织、IFLA、欧盟委员会等国际组织均致力于通过教育提升全球公众的信息素养。本文通过系统梳理国内外公众信息素养教育领域的研究成果和实践探索资料,以及政府文件、会议记录、重要机构或项目的报告、指南、年鉴等文献,总结全球公众信息素养教育实践与理论研究的渊源、演变历程和实践现状。研究发现当前全球公众信息素养教育存在三个突出问题:整体水平不高,发展不平衡,研究滞后于实践。为提升我国公众信息素养教育水平,建议尽快出台专门政策和标准,鼓励多元主体参与,力求覆盖各类受众,采取多种教学方式,大力培养师资,合作建设资源,搭建交流平台和传播中国声音。表1。参考文献84。     

全媒体时代医学生信息素养教育的新内涵与新策略

介绍了全媒体时代医学生信息素养教育应融入视频信息素养、媒介信息素养及移动信息素养教育等新内涵,提出了全媒体环境下医学生信息素养教育应包括更新教学模式、增加教育内容及提高全媒体展示能力等新策略。     

我国信息素质教育研究的现状与建议

本文基于中国知网对我国产出的4951篇信息素质教育(信息素养教育)论文进行文献计量学分析,探讨了信息素质教育中存在的问题,提出了信息素质教育发展的一些建议。     

International relations and the spread of information worldwide

The world is too small to function within borders. Librarians have recognized the need for mutual respect and co-operation between nations, and the importance of their role in achieving this end. IFLA represents the interests of librarianship and has established various core programs that address common concerns. Aspects of international co-operation include the needs for preservation of materials, resource sharing through international networks, international telecommunications, librarian exchanges and materials exchanges. Obstacles to technology, finances and cultural differences must be overcome. Developed nations must assume an open and helpful attitude toward sharing technology with underdeveloped nations so that they can begin to thrive, standards of living improve, and economic markets open. Librarians can effect major changes in the way information is transmitted across borders, thereby shaping information policy and the resulting world order.     

Information Literacy for GIS Curricula

Abstract

Undergraduate GIS courses, regardless of parent department, frequently follow similar formats culminating with long-term, self-directed ‘capstone’ projects. Instructors usually acquire data for students, rather than having the students search for information from online repositories or campus libraries. While on the library side of life, librarian-led classroom sessions are unsatisfying for students and librarians, chiefly due to a lack of connection to important research-based assignments. A model is presented herein to train instructors to include information literacy components into courses, thereby increasing students' ability to work independently.     

Research in librarianship in Thailand: a bibliographical survey

The quantity of information distributed today on the Internet, especially through the World Wide Web, is rising much more quickly than the quantity of information available through other mass media. Just as we do not like or believe everything we read in the newspapers, see on TV, or hear on the radio, we cannot like or believe everything on the Internet. Consequently, it is necessary to critically assess the quality of websites and to determine the extent to which they meet our needs and requirements. This paper is an attempt to analyze information evaluation concept and process-based on some quality management concepts, rools and methods in order to propose some basic criteria to evaluate website quality and to select suitable websites.

MLA certification: the certification program and education for medical librarianship

The certification program was formally adopted by the Medical Library Association in 1948 in an attempt to establish standards for medical librarians. The program is reviewed, and some of its effects on education for medical librarians are discussed. At the time of its adoption the program defined the kind of education librarians in the field thought necessary for work in medical libraries. New techniques and a shortage of personnel demand consideration of new educational programs, and the Medical Library Assistance Act will provide the means for their establishment. The Association should assume leadership in determining what and where these programs should be and should evaluate its certification and standards programs as often as current needs require.
