A writing story： Opening up to judgement-Individual assessment as system assessment or writing as school

This is a writing story about trying to create just classroom assessment practices not excluding anybody and therefore an attempt to explore what an opening up to judgment, and in my view, what assessment focused on learning might mean and subsequently imply. Social justice and democracy is at stake. How to develop and improve our assessment literacy？ How to develop trustworthy and good assessment systems？ What are our tools and what methods can we use？ Given a discussion about either summative or formative assessment and preferably both, this is primarily an attempt to think about principals before turning to instruments or starting with the beginning and beyond rather than the endpoint. I argue for keeping classroom assessment as an indefinite problem, a problem not to be solved or a term not to be understood once and for all. That will hopefully foster cultural pluralism and heterogeneity around the term： learning more, learning all, all learning. Ultimately this is about the linguistic conditions for change; but as a move from language to law and as aporetic thinking and through the pivoting but liberating effects of writing; a writing both positioning and giving direction. Through language and as a right to philosophy that is. It is about creating a heteroglossia of a fresh writing inscribed in, through and with otherness; ＂another logic＂ that is.

A Critical Appraisal of Critical Reflection in Teacher Education

Critical reflection is regarded as a high-level reflective practice and promoted by many reflective practice programs This article aims to criticize it from two aspects： conceptual perspective and practical perspective. Based on the understanding of it as self-reflection, being critical can be regarded as one feature and consequence of any type of reflective practice. Owing to cultural differences, critical reflection faces many obstacles in practice. Meeting teachers＇ needs, rather than designing the hierarchy, is suggested to be a criterion of good quality reflection.     

对大学英语听力课教学的一些思考

Many problems can be seen in the practical listening class, such as a distorted listening motivation, a lack of sufficient and authentic input and a corresponding neglect of metacognitive awareness of learning in actual teaching. In fact, what we are doing in the listening class is to test rather than to teach, to foster the passive receiver rather than the active learner. This article analyzes these problems from theoretical perspective, speculating on the limitations in terms of the comprehensible input, the affective filter and metacognitive awareness. Then, based on the author teaching experience, it provides some suggestions to solve the present problems. It suggests what is needed in teaching listening is careful consideration of pre-,during and post- listening tasks incorporating both the top-down and bottom-up processes.     

Domestication And Foreignization

This article sets out to study two strategies on culture translation: one of them is domestication, the other is foreignization. Numerous authentic translated versions are collected to analyze the characteristics of the two strategies in both diachronic and synchronic perspectives. It is concluded that the two strategies have their respective features and applicable values. It is suggested that the two strategies should be viewed and studied dialectically and historically rather than statically and absolutely in order to place translation practice and translation theory in a correct track.

Virtual environment has been widely applied in scientific research and considered as an important tool of exploring science.But constructing a real virtual environment is rather difficult.The difficulty cannot be compared with developing general software,It has a high demand for sofware technology,Obviously traditional methods are not competent for the job.Fortunately with the development of agent-oriented technologies ,all problems seem to be solved.By classifying a virtual environment into four layers corresponding with real world and considering it as a collection of agents,the virtual objects can be mapped into agents and an agent model can be designed.Based on the idea that the state change of a system is caused by that of in dividuals and the mutual effect among them,a theory of agent behavior driven by event and belief is put for ward.Such agent-oriented modeling method can cope with the demand for handling multi-dimension information.It is an effective technique for constructing a large and complex virtual environment.

Reduced Expanding Load Method for Simulation-Based Structural System Reliability Analysis

The current situation and difficulties of the structural system reliability analysis are mentioned. Then on the basis of Monte Carlo method and computer simulation, a new analysis method reduced expanding load method (RELM) is presented, which can be used to solve structural reliability problems effectively and conveniently. In this method, the uncertainties of loads, structural material properties and dimensions can be fully considered. If the statistic parameters of stochastic variables are known, by using this method, the probability of failure can be estimated rather accurately. In contrast with traditional approaebes,RELM method gives a much better understanding of structural failure frequency and its reliability index β is more meaningful. To illustrate this new idea, a specific example is given.
