Individual and Contextual Influences on Academic Dishonesty: A Multicampus Investigation

Students at nine medium to large state universities were surveyed in this comprehensive investigation of the influences of individual and contextual factors on self-reported academic dishonesty. Results suggested that cheating was influenced by a number of characteristics of individuals including age, gender, and grade-point average, as well as a number of contextual factors including the level of cheating among peers, peer disapproval of cheating, fraternity/sorority membership, and the perceived severity of penalties for cheating. Peer disapproval was the strongest influential factor.

Future Directions in Research on Mathematics-Related Teacher Identity

Mathematics education research has placed great emphasis on teacher identity, examining both pre- and in-service teachers, and within these cohorts, specialised mathematics teachers and non-specialists such as elementary teachers. Extensive research has already been done; hence, this paper discusses possible future directions for research on teacher identity in mathematics education. Among other issues, we highlight that general education research on identity has infrequently informed research on mathematics-related teacher identity. This not only limits the transfer of knowledge but also isolates mathematics education from general education research. We suggest that connecting these lines of research and their findings may not only strengthen mathematics education research and mathematics teaching and learning but also contribute to less isolation within the discipline as a whole.     

教师聊天,教师发展：一个教师学做科研的行动研究报告

鼓励普通教师积极参与科研是目前国内外教师发展的主题,通过一个教师第一次开展一个行动研究的过程记录,详细报道了此教师如何通过同事间私下聊天这种交流方式消除职业孤独、增强反省和解决教学问题的能力,成为善于合作的自信积极的人。通过系统对比分析专业研究者和普通教师研究者的科研条件和目标的区别,提出教师研究、教师发展的运动必须尽快树立教师友善的研究评估标准,以确保科研不会变成教师肩上的新负担、真正促进教师职业发展。     

多阶段有序面试问题的数学模型与算法研究

对面试者按顺序逐一参加多个阶段的面试问题,运用排序理论和机理分析方法剖析了面试的展开过程,从两种角度建立了相应的数学模型。对模型提供了用数学软件求解和编程求解的方法,对小规模问题的求解特别设计了简便易行的手工计算方法,既具有教学意义,也对成功高效地组织面试过程、合理利用时间、节约成本具有实践指导作用。     

语境视域与乡村教师:乡村教师素质分析

在"城市—现代"和"乡土—历史"两种不同的语境中,乡村教师分别被贴上了"低素质者"和"高素质者"的标签。前者虽然迫使乡村教师瞄准现代与未来世界的科学前沿,获取新知识与技能,提升自我现代品质,但导致了其"低素质"、低社会地位、低社会责任感与低自信心的恶性循环;后者虽然存在乡村教师与现代文明隔膜的危险,但乡村教师可以头顶"高素质者"的光环,以中国乡土社会与文化精英的角色,安身立命,享受人生,服务社会。两种语境具有融通的可能性:抚慰生命是两种语境的交汇之点,回归内心是两种语境的融通之基,联结现代与乡土是两种语境的融通之法。     

班主任心理辅导模式的理论研究

学校心理辅导包括发展性心理辅导与矫治性心理辅导,班主任心理辅导属于发展性心理辅导模式。发展性心理辅导有三个要点:面向全体学生;促进学生的人格健全发展;促进学生的个体潜能发挥。学校心理辅导是德育的组成部分和现代教育的重要内容。与理论内涵对应,班主任在涉入心理辅导领域时,也要涉入德育领域和教育领域。因此,班主任应具备三种角色的品质:教育内涵的教师、德育内涵的班主任、心理辅导内涵的心理辅导员。

新加坡职前教师教育伙伴合作模式探析——聚焦《21世纪教师教育模式》

21世纪以来,全面提升教育质量已成为世界各国教育改革的中心任务。为更好地完成这一任务,新加坡职前教师教育也开始向"伙伴合作"模式转变。该国南洋理工大学下属的国立教育学院(National Institute of Education,Nanyang Technological University,Singapore,简称NIE)作为本国唯一的师资培养学院,为满足新加坡政府对高质量教师的需求,发表了《21世纪教师教育模式》报告(A Teacher Education Model for the 21st Century,简称TE21),以回应21世纪对本国教师培养提出的挑战,该报告是了解新加坡职前教师教育改革的重要文本。

员工选拔是企业人力资源管理的重要组成部分之一,从心理学专业的角度来看,企业在选拔员工时必须遵循两项基本的原则：第一,选拔标准必须基于对职位申请者所需岗位胜任特征水平进行评估;第二,必须采取系统化、结构化的方法和手段来评价受测者在这些胜任特征上的行为表现水平,保证选拔的公平性和科学性。而采用结构化面试方法则是应用上述两项心理学原则的最好体现。结构化面试正越来越多地被世界各国著名的企业所采用。     

Contextual Influences on School Effectiveness: The Role of School Boards

The purpose of this research project is to investigate if characteristics of school boards and their administrative control do explain variance among schools in pupil achievement in the cognitive domain. A combination of findings of research on school effectiveness and organizational effectiveness, gives the ground for the framework of school boards’ administrative control used in this study. A random sample of 133 school boards and one specific primary school, selected out of the total number of schools they oversee, was drawn. The findings show that characteristics of school boards do explain variance in cognitive achievement. Even after controlling for student background and school characteristics, school boards do make a difference. School boards that involve school team and parents (committee) in their decision‐making process manage schools with relatively better results in the cognitive domain.     

Action Learning: A Model for In-Service Teacher Education

Technology has changed the way the world functions on a day-to-day basis, but what about education? Education has been directly affected by the increase of technology in the United States. This change has not been well accepted by some members of the educational community, thus leaving the realm of education behind in the technology era. This article seeks to focus on the benefits of technology in the classroom as well as some of the issues that surround teachers and technology. The article also delves into the future of technology and education and provides some helpful tips for technology use in the classroom.     

A Conceptual Model for Teacher Education

Recent critiques of the discourse or beliefs and practices of physical education have focused on the restrictive ideological assumptions of the subject. However, these critiques in turn have been criticized for rehearsing once more the gap between theory and practice. Drawing on theoretical models external to physical education, a form of discourse analysis is proposed to link critical perspectives and practical concerns in an account of effective teaching and learning in physical education.

以协同知识建构为核心的教师混合式研训模型研究

在借鉴协同知识建构相关研究,并结合教师实践性知识发展特点的基础上,本研究构建了以面向过程、任务驱动为导向的,以协同知识建构为核心的教师混合式研训模型。相关模型包括以个体知识建构为主的准备、以群体知识建构为主的面对面研训、以及以实践反思为主的双重建构三大阶段。在此基础上,本研究在具体的实践中探索出包括计划与准备、面对面研训、远程在线研训和面对面分享等四个阶段的应用过程,并提出了一系列基于该模型的实践应用策略与方法。     

Psychological and Moral Development for Teacher Education

Abstract

After a brief discussion on the need for more effective teacher education programmes in the United States, the article presents a first attempt to link moral and psychological education with a teacher training curriculum. Employing a sample of pre‐service teachers, the course in educational psychology was redesigned to deliberately teach counselling techniques as a means of stimulating ego and moral development. The results indicate positive shifts on both the Loevinger test of ego development and Kohlberg post‐conventional moral maturity using the Rest, Defining Issues Test. The relation between teacher training and development is detailed. It is strongly suggested that teacher education should adopt a developmental framework for both goals and instructional strategies.     

Building Beginning Teacher Resilience: Exploring the Relationship between Mentoring and Contextual Acceptance

ABSTRACT

Beginning teacher resilience has become a topic of international interest, as all school districts are invested in retaining talented teachers. This study builds on extant literature on the role of mentors by examining the influence of mentoring on beginning teachers’ perceptions of acceptance not only in the school but in the larger community through a sociocultural theoretical framework. Through an examination of 14 beginning teachers working in Hillside Public Schools, a district geographically considered rural, but with many indicators of an urban district, the article explores the question: how and to what extent does mentoring build beginning teacher resilience? Data reveal that beginning teachers show signs of developing resilience when they feel accepted by the school community. Mentoring, whether formal or informal, contributes to beginning teachers’ overall feelings of acceptance; such acceptance can help negate beginning teachers’ perceptions of unpreparedness for the demands of teaching in a high-needs school.

由Borman和Motowidle于1993年提出的与任务绩效相区别的关系绩效,引起了广泛的关注和大量的实证研究.目前研究已涉及关系绩效内容、结构、影响因素、对组织的相对贡献以及对人力资源管理职能活动的影响等方面.该文从关系绩效提出的理论背景出发,对关系绩效的研究成果进行了综述,并指出了目前研究的不足以及对未来研究提出了几点建议.
