This article chiefly analyzes Shelley’s social background, personality and the relationship between the creation of Shelly’s"Ode to the West Wind"and the social background of Shelley’s age and his personality."Ode to the West Wind"was the representative of all his works and a masterpiece of the romantic poetry. It praised the spirit of the west wind in order to encourage the British people to fight against the old system, which expressed his optimism in eliminating tyranny and eventually achieving a bright future.     

Positive Romanticism and Ode to the West Wind

Rising Acceptance of Life and Negative Capability—A Reading of John Keats’s Odes

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty"-the famous line in English romantic poet John Keats’Ode on a Grecian Urn-has triggered wide discussion and numerous interpretations. My Understanding of Wordsworth’s‘Immortality’in His“Ode:Intimation of Immortality”

本文探讨了“锒铛”、“独鹿”的本义及其语义发展。“锒铛”本为拟声,由拟声而达意,从而引申出许多新的意义;“独鹿”为“朱愚”一词的声转,本义为驽钝。二词的来源不一,本义不同,但在语言的发展过程中,二者词义演变,部分语义交叉融合。本文还在前人的基础上对“锒铛”、“独鹿”的同源词作了进一步探讨,同时也对前人的一些观点提出质疑并补正。
