构建我国基于资历框架的教师行业资历等级和标准

建立终身教育资历框架是我国目前一项重要的教育举措,构建基于资历框架的教师行业资历等级和标准是其中重要的组成部分,有助于促进教师专业发展、推动教师终身学习。本研究采用文献研究法和专家访谈法,提出了由4个等级、4个维度和10个要素组成的教师行业资历等和标准,能够与国际及国内已有的资历框架有效对接,构建了我国基于资历框架的教师行业资历等级和标准。教师行业资历等级和标准既是针对教师专业发展的评价框架,又是认证和转化学习成果的工具,是一套系统的方法和工具。期望本研究的成果能够为教师专业发展项目提供评价与认证框架,为贯通教师职前培养与职后培训、构建教师终身学习体系提供参考框架。     

建设工程训练课程体系 助力工程教育专业认证

从当前工程训练课程存在的问题入手分析,确定了工程训练课程的新定位。针对工程训练教学设计(教学内容、教学方法、成绩评定)进行了重点研究,构建了基于成果导向教育理念的工程训练课程新体系,探索了工程训练运行新模式。实践表明,对工程训练课程体系的研究与探索,为学校专业认证工作提供了良好支撑,效果优异。     

面向专业认证的车辆工程实验教学改革

工程专业认证是高校工程教育国际化的重要途径,也对高校工程专业实验教学提出了新要求。结合工程专业认证要求和专业办学定位,对照车辆工程专业毕业达成度要求,梳理车辆工程专业实验教学中的不足,并针对这些问题,提出优化教学内容、创新教学组织模式、改进教学评估方法、持续改进教学质量等一系列改革。这些改革措施取得了积极成果,受到学生好评。     

基于工程教育专业认证的工程训练教学的改革

工程训练中心根据测控技术与仪器专业对工程训练指标点的要求(理解测控仪器或系统的制造工艺,掌握电子线路的基本理论与设计方法),确定以企业的真实产品——注射泵为教学载体。以产品为教学目的,将金工实习和电工实习有机地结合在一起,努力构建实景式工程训练环境。实训中深度融合了信息技术,突出了学生的主体地位,实现了工程训练的工程性、应用性,激发了学生的学习热情和潜能,使学生受到了全面的训练。     

EPC合同在国际工程履行中的风险研究

EPC合同是FIDIC系列合同中的部分条款,通常在国际工程中采用。本文结合笔者在国外从事土木工程建造的管理经验,首先介绍FIDIC合同和EPC合同,其次分析EPC合同在国际工程履行中的风险因素,并提出合同风险控制措施,最后得出相关结论。     

Between the local and the global: organized research units and international collaborations in the health sciences

Organized research units—also known as centers, institutes, and laboratories—are increasingly prominent in the university. This paper examines how ORUs emerge to promote global agendas and international collaborations in an academic health center in North America. The roles these units play in helping researchers work across institutional and national boundaries are identified and analyzed. The concept of boundary organizations is employed to explain the features of ORUs and the challenges they face. Findings provide insight into how such units operate between local and global mandates, interest groups, and sources of influence, helping to extend university research into the global space.     

环境工程特色专业的建设与实践

我校的环境工程专业通过优化课程体系,强化工程实践能力的培养,提高师资队伍水平等手段来提高教学质量;将部分本科专业教学内容与社会经济发展过程中迫切需要解决的环境污染问题紧密结合,以高水平专业实验室的建设带动科研水平和科研实力的提高等措施来突出环保设备与石化特色。经过近几年的建设,取得了系列成果,提升了我校环境工程专业的办学水平和人才培养质量。     

土木类专业课教学新模式及尝试

针对土木类专业课特点,结合笔者专业课教学中采用的互动模式,指出了该模式实施过程中互动双方的要求及取得的一些效果,该教学模式可在专业课教学中推广。

An integrated approach to develop professional and technical skills for informatics engineering students

Many of the current approaches used in teaching and learning in engineering education are not the most appropriate to prepare students for the challenges they will face in their professional careers. The active involvement of students in their learning process facilitates the development of the technical and professional competencies they need as professionals. This article describes the organisation and impact of a mini-conference and project work – the creation of a software product and its introduction in the market – aimed at the development of professional competencies in general and writing skills in particular. The course was evaluated by assessing the students’ perception of the development of a number of professional competencies through a questionnaire completed by 125 students from two consecutive year groups. The results indicate that the project work and the mini-conference had a positive impact on students’ perceptions of the development of professional competencies.     

工科专业实验室人性化、精细化管理实践

针对高校从事能源领域科学研究和辅助教学的专业实验室的管理问题,提出了人性化、精细化的管理理念与模式,着重在人力资源的深度挖掘和优化配置、对外开放与功能拓展、支撑实验教学和人才培养、精细化与人性化管理等方面,开展了积极探索.通过实践,为实验室的科学管理和持续发展积累了宝贵经验.     

Teacher perception of professional skills in a project-led engineering semester

This study explores the perceptions of teachers with regard to professional skills in project-led engineering education experiences for first year engineering students at the University of Minho, Portugal. Their perception on which professional skills to include, how to develop these skills and how to assess them is studied through six semi-structured interviews with experienced teachers of the first year programme, who served as tutors as well as teachers in at least four projects. Analysis of their perceptions reveals a strong commitment to professional skills for engineering students, and also a lack of confidence in the support they can offer to help students develop these skills.     

Faculty consulting in natural sciences and engineering: between formal and informal knowledge transfer

Academic consulting is a form of knowledge and technology transfer largely under-documented and under-studied that raises ethical and resources allocation issues. Based on a survey of 2,590 Canadian researchers in engineering and natural sciences, this paper explores three forms of academic consulting: (1) paid consulting; (2) unpaid consulting for companies and; (3) unpaid consulting for government agencies. The results of this study show that academics tend to engage simultaneously in paid and unpaid consulting. Two patterns of consulting emerged from the results: a first pattern regarding engagement in paid consulting for companies and government agencies, and unpaid consulting for companies is positively associated with industry funding, size of research laboratories, large-sized research universities, technical validation of knowledge, protection of IP, and strong ties with people in companies. By comparison, a second pattern regarding engagement in unpaid consulting services provided to government organizations is positively associated with size of research laboratories, teaching, large-sized research universities, technical validation of knowledge, and with strong ties with people in government organizations. Knowledge and technology transfer policy should pay more attention to the contribution of academics engaged in consulting activities because they likely significantly contribute to help companies and government agencies solve practical problems that improve their productive and innovative capabilities.     

Competence-based Approaches: A discussion of issues for professional groups

An increasing number of professional groups are adopting some form of competence-based approach to education and training. Despite their increasing popularity, there remains a fierce debate in the academic literature as to the appropriateness of such approaches for the professions. This paper explores how the teaching, engineering, medical and management professions are using competence-based approaches in the workplace. Some of the key difficulties of the competence-based approach as identified in the literature are examined from a perspective rooted in the practice of these four professional groups.
