Exploring Online and Blended Course Delivery in Social Group Work

Agency group work has increased, but opportunities for social work group practice in educational settings have not kept pace. One option in response is technology-based learning, and students appear to have positive perceptions of online group project work. Online courses appear to have outcomes comparable to those that occur with in-person groups but require careful monitoring of group processes and group-based technologies. The authors discuss the factors involved in developing and implementing online and blended course delivery in teaching group work.     

Research on Webbed Connectivity in a Web-Based Learning Environment: Online Social Work Education

This paper describes the preliminary data and analysis of how students in an online MSW program perceive their experiences, interactions, and responses to learning structure, material, and technology in the Web environment. The student perceptions, which have been used to refine the online program, highlight how important it is to students to feel a personal or webbed connection to faculty and other students in the Web environment. Rather than being a cold, sterile learning environment, the online learning world appears to be one that encourages professional webbed connectivity and relationship building.     

混合教学模式下程序设计课程在线实践探索

程序设计课程的实践能力是衡量课程教学效果的关键因素,为促进实践能力培养,在混合式教学模式下设计多层次的实践内容,采用大规模在线实践（Massive Online Open Practice, MOOP）的思路,运用案例点评、边讲边练、边做边评等多种实践形式,通过多点化成绩取样、代码相似度检测等功能以增强实践能力评价的客观性,该方法有较好的培养效果及可操作性,可以改变课程现有的实践能力培养的不足。

为了适应我国高等教育发展的新形势,深化教育改革,提高教学质量,满足国家和社会对人才培养的需要,2004年1月教育部颁布了《大学英语课程教学要求》。该《要求》的出台和“基于计算机和课堂的英语多媒体教学模式”的提出为大学英语教学中使用“混合型教学”模式提供了平台。拟探讨“混合型教学”模式的理论基础,在国内外教学中的成功应用,并结合教学实践设计出该模式的操作流程,旨在为大学英语教学改革提供新思路。

高校“网格化”社会工作实务教学模式初探

社会工作在我国属于新兴学科,自开始招生至今仅20余年。这期间,社会工作教育者们从未停止对社会工作实务教学的探索,但至今依然是教学难点,社会工作的教师身兼督导和教学双重任务往往会顾此失彼。基于此,找到一个适合于目前社会工作实务教学的场所和模式便十分重要。本文将高校作为社会工作实务教学的场所,社会工作专业学生的实务课程在教师的指导下展开,提供适当的社会工作服务以解决学生群体中存在的诸多问题,同时实现实务教学的要求。在高校实施社会工作实务教学,＂网格化＂是一种比较理想的模式。     

《社会工作实务》课程项目化教学设计与实践

基于职业岗位需求和工作过程导向的项目化教学是高职高专课程教学改革的方向。文章结合高职高专《社会工作实务》课程定位,按照职业水平考试要求,教学内容上选取四个模块,通过真实项目、真实场景设计组织教学活动,提高学生以工作任务为导向的职业能力,帮助学生在完成学历教育的同时,使学生具备初级助理社会工作师职业水平。

顶峰体验课程作为美国高校在高年级开设的一种综合性课程,提升了人才培养质量,受到学生、学校和用人单位的好评.将顶峰体验课程引入社会工作专业实践教学,对学生主体意识的培养、专业认同的建立以及知识技能的整合都有重要意义.社会工作实践教学顶峰体验课程的设计应当以项目为核心,凝练教学目标、改革教学手段,重视学生非专业能力的培养.这一课程的引入,还需要完善在教育理念、项目来源、教学团队和评价体系等方面的配套改革.     

基于超星学习通的卫生化学线上线下混合式课程建设研究

推进教学信息化,打造优质课程是加快建设教育强国的重要部署.本研究依托超星学习通平台,在卫生化学课程中开展线上、线下混合式课程建设,系统分析了混合式课程构建方法、课程评价,并提出了具体的改进建议,可为利用移动教学平台开展混合式教学提供理论指导和借鉴.     

基于混合式学习的《电视节目编导与制作》实践教学改革

《电视节目编导与制作》是一门集技术、艺术、文学于一体的综合性课程。根据影视类精品课程建设现状及对该门课程的学习情况分析,认为混合式学习能促进学生实践能力提高。文章提出基于混合式学习的实践教学模式,建立分层实践教学体系结构,结合"感知温州"纪录片创作的案例进行实践过程分析。通过基于混合式学习的实践教学改革的施行,学生的影视技艺、创新意识和实际应用能力不断提高,并学会用混合学习方法推广到其他课程实践。     

从生态视角看混合学习应用于网上英语写作

数字化学习强调以学习为中心受到了人们的关注,然而这种新方法在教学实践中逐渐显示出其存在的弊端,混合学习的理念应运而生。本文引入生态学视角观察混合学习方式应用于网络写作课堂的尝试,并运用生态学原理考察整个网上英语写作生态系统的运作,观察混合学习所起的作用,以期进一步促进混合学习的应用研究和提高网络学习的效率和质量。笔者以第二军医大学参与博士生网上英语写作课程的22名学生为研究对象,将学生前后测的写作水平成绩及调查问卷的数据进行比较和分析。实验结果表明,混合学习方式能够在一定程度上弥补纯网络学习存在的不足,提高学生的学习效率、学习兴趣、写作信心以及英语写作水平。这充分说明混合式学习在网络写作课程中是可行且有效的。     

混合式教学的“讲练分离”英语演讲课程设计

混合式教学是传统教学与网络化教学相结合的一种教学模式,是目前高校教学改革的一个重要研究方向。文章借鉴混合式教学理念,设计了英语演讲课程“讲练分离”的课堂教学改革思路,提出以实践为主要特征的英语演讲课程应在学生在线自学的基础上,给予学生充分的课堂操练机会。阐述该课程的线上、线下活动设计、课程实施及课程评价方法。教学实践和问卷调查结果表明,讲练分离的混合式教学模式得到了学生的认可,也有助于推动传统课堂教学改革。     

Developing and Supporting Faculty Training for Online Social Work Education: The Columbia University School of Social Work Online Pedagogy Institute

ABSTRACT

With the growth of online and distance education in social work, faculty training and support need to be provided to ensure high-quality online social work education. A model for training social work educators in online teaching is outlined that focuses on pedagogy, technology, and social work values. Columbia University School of Social Work’s Online Campus provides a five-week Institute on Pedagogy and Technology for Online Courses for prospective social work instructors. The Institute provides a faculty training model that can be adopted in other social work programs, and seeks to model best practices in online education.     

在线学习的理论与实践

本刊今年第3期刊登了记者对国际知名远程教育专家、加拿大阿萨巴斯卡大学特里·安德森教授的专访。安德森教授在专访中提及他和同事法希·埃劳米的新著《在线学习的理论与实践》,“希望能得到我们中国朋友的青睐和欣赏”。该书收录了16篇论文,作者全部是阿萨巴斯卡大学的教师和研究者,也都是20世纪90年代中期以来阿萨巴斯卡大学为了应对日益裁减的政府资助和生源的锐减而进行大规模教育改革的实践者和见证人,这些论文既有经验总结又有前瞻性的思考,对我国的远程教育事业不无借鉴价值。鉴于此,本刊特邀肖俊洪先生谨将该书两位主编所撰写的“引言”中的有关全书内容概要的部分译成中文,以飨读者。     

CSCL中课堂教学和网络学习关系模型探究

课堂教学和网络学习是混合式学习方式中两个重要的环节,同时网络论坛活动在教育教学中的应用也日益广泛。该研究以《摄影技术》课程为例,根据课程特点,采用内容分析法,从理论和实践两大模块探究网络论坛中知识建构活动的文本类型,同时分析了CSCL环境下,面对面的课堂教学和网络学习二者之间的关系,指出了面对面的课堂教学对网络学习支撑的重要性。     

《数学文化》课程在线教学之实践

基于对《数学文化》课程在线教学的实践,通过网络在线教学为学习者提供泛在学习环境,实现为学习者提供个性化服务的目的,培养学习者的协作学习能力,有效地调动学习者的内在潜能,增强学习者终身学习能力以及对资源的运用能力,发挥教师的导学和助学作用,有利于进一步探索开放大学的教学模式。     

A Discourse Analysis of Online Dialogs in Social Work Diversity Courses

Abstract

Online discussions can extend learning experiences beyond the time and space of the classroom, allowing students more time to process information, and an additional mode of expression for those who are less active in open classroom discussions. They may be especially appropriate for teaching sensitive or controversial subject matter such as oppression and diversity, which is required by the Council on Social Work Education. This study investigated topical themes, depth, and tone of online dialogs in social work diversity courses at two universities in the mid-Atlantic area. Discourse analysis-a type of content analysis-is employed to gain a deeper understanding of the learning experience, and to compare the impact of anonymous and identified participation in the dialogs.     

Effects of Collaborative and Individual Learning in a Blended Learning Environment

In courses using a virtual learning environment (VLE), some students like to work together, and some do not. If we give students the opportunity to choose either teamwork or individual study, how does this affect their marks and their appraisal and assessment of the course? This question has been investigated in the context of an English Literature course at the University of Utrecht. In this course, students work intensively with a VLE, and attend lectures: a blended learning environment. Previous research has shown that the pedagogical design used provides a powerful learning environment. This time, students had the choice of working on the course assignments in small teams (2–4 students), or individually. Both groups were compared based on their study results, and the answers to a questionnaire. Students valued the choice. Mainly those students with high marks for a previous course, which had a similar pedagogical design, preferred collaboration. Statistical analysis showed that collaboration resulted in significantly better marks.     

Social Presence and Implications for Designing Online Learning Communities

With the rapid global proliferation of the Internet and telecommunication networks , online education , one form of distance education is currently becoming the fastest growing trend of domestic and international education. A major challenge to designing online learning is the development of appropriate means to facilitate the social environment that is critical for higher order learning in many disciplines. In many online learning designs, the majority of resources are channeled to web interface design and technology, while little or no resources are devoted to facilitating the teaching and learning process, the negotiation of meaning and the validation of knowledge among peers and instructors that depends on a conducive socio-cultural environment and adequate learner support.
