明末宋玉资料的辑佚、整理、编辑与其对文学宋玉的传播

明末,有两部辑有宋玉资料的著述,即张燮《七十二家集.宋大夫集》和周圣楷《楚宝.宋玉》。我们通过对两书宋玉资料辑佚、整理、编辑的分析,认为张燮的宋玉资料辑佚与周圣楷的宋玉资料编辑具有互补作用,两者参看可以比较全面地了解宋玉,比较正确地认知宋玉,尤其是能够引导读者从文学的视角审视宋玉;张燮和周圣楷的宋玉资料辑佚、整理、编辑对于文学宋玉的传播有着极其重要的意义。

Science Letters： Simultaneous determination of fluoride, chloride, sulfate, phosphate, monofluorophosphate, glycerophosphate, sorbate, and saccharin in gargles by ion chromatography

Simple, reliable and sensitive analytical methods to determine anticariogenic agents, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners contained in commercial gargles are necessary for evaluating their effectiveness, safety, and quality. An ion chromatography （IC） method has been described to analyze simultaneously eight anions including fluoride, chloride, sulfate, phosphate, monofluorophosphate, glycerophosphate （anticariogenic agents）, sorbate （a preservative）, and saccharin （an artificial sweetener） in gargles. In this IC system, we applied a mobile phased gradient elution with KOH, separation by IonPac AS18 columns, and suppressed conductivity detection. Optimized analytical conditions were further evaluated for accuracy. The relative standard deviations （RSDs） of the inter-day＇s retention time and peak area of all species were less than 0.938% and 8.731%, respectively, while RSDs of 5-day retention time and peak area were less than 1.265% and 8.934%, respectively. The correlation coefficients for targeted analytes ranged from 0.999 7 to 1.000 0. The spiked recoveries for the anions were 90%-102.5%. We concluded that the method can be applied for comprehensive evaluation of commercial gargles.

上古韵部划分是上古音研究的核心部分,韵部划分至清代虽已渐臻完备,但学界对韵部进行再划分的工作一直未断。李新魁先生在二十九部基础上分出祭、废、至、队、曷、桓、戈七部,将上古韵部分为三十六部,其分部的依据不合理,故不必立祭、废、至、队、曷、桓、戈七部。

美英法德俄五国课程表比较

学校教育是被时钟控制的,课程表就是这种控制的表现.我国现行课程中,课程表是学校惟一有权自主决定和安排的,然而限于传统的视野,即使在实行新课程改革的今日,许多学校往往意识不到课程表的价值.然而当我们把目光转向国外的学校时,却发现这个"螺蛳壳"中还是有许多"道场"可做的.本文从课程编制、教与学的组织及课程中的时间安排这三个角度,对五国的课程改革进行分析,希望能为我国的改革提供一些借鉴.

“皇、帝、君、王”同义辨析

＂皇、帝、君、王＂是一组同义词,但学者历来对此有不同理解。古汉语同义词同中有异,本文试图把本组同义词以先秦至汉作为共时层面,上溯下联,共时与历时相结合,在一个词义的系统中运用多手段、多角度、多侧面、综合型的方法,精确地辨析该组词义。     

Culture of peace, human rights,

We say often that we are living in a Global Age. Then, what is Global Age? I define it as the Age prevailing and deepening the sense of human bond and human-nature bond globally. From what time? After 1945, as the historical turning period; from otal war to world peace, beginning of the nuclear age, independence of colonized people and regions, development of human rights and democracy, environmental pollution and sustainable development, advancement of the cosmic science. These are the indexes of Global Age. But we should say we are just straying at the entrance gate of Global Age. In 21th century, we have to develop our Vison and pursuit towards a Culture of Peace, Human Rights and Living Together (Kyosei), especially in Asia, through education. I will develop these ideas in this paper.

"道"论作为老子哲学思想的核心内容,它的出现标志着中国传统哲学理论发展到了一个全新的水平。由本原、本体、本质、辩证与有无五个维度出发,对"道"论的意涵进行阐释,是一次全新的尝试。这一尝试对于我们从宇宙本原、根本存在、自然本质、辩证法思想、"有"和"无"的义理来把握"道"有着极为重要的意义。同时,也对"道"论的传统价值和现实意义进行了说明。     

Cross-linguistic analysis of vocabulary in young children: spanish, dutch, French, hebrew, italian, korean, and american english

The composition of young children's vocabularies in 7 contrasting linguistic communities was investigated. Mothers of 269 twenty-month-olds in Argentina, Belgium, France, Israel, Italy, the Republic of Korea, and the United States completed comparable vocabulary checklists for their children. In each language and vocabulary size grouping (except for children just learning to talk), children's vocabularies contained relatively greater proportions of nouns than other word classes. Each word class was consistently positively correlated with every other class in each language and for children with smaller and larger vocabularies. Noun prevalence in the vocabularies of young children and the merits of several theories that may account for this pattern are discussed.     

Learning Style Preferences of Armenian, African, Hispanic, Hmong, Korean, Mexican, and Anglo Students in American Secondary Schools

This is a study concerning the basic perceptual learning style preferences (auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and tactile) and preferences for group and individual learning of Armenian, African, Hispanic, Hmong, Korean, Mexican, and Anglo students in American secondary schools. The results of the study reveal significant ethnic group and sex differences in their learning style preferences, as well as students' achievement level differences. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Matters of HEARTS: health,experience of abuse,resilience, technology use,and safety of older adults

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to assess the HEARTS (Health, Experience of Abuse, Resilience, Technology use, and Safety) of older adults (OAs). More particularly, we aimed to assess three components of the HEARTS (health, experience of abuse, and resilience) of OAs and explore the relationships among health, resilience, the experience of abuse, and other demographic variables. Forty-two male and female OAs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA participated in the study. A correlational design was used in this study. The variables correlated were health, the experience of abuse, and the resilience of OAs. We used a community-engaged research approach in that participants were more than research volunteers but stakeholders in the research project. Findings showed that the means for more positive health features (physical function, and social roles) increased with increases in education, while more negative health features (anxiety, depression, fatigue, sleep disturbance, pain interference, and pain intensity) decreased with higher levels of education. Regression models indicated that above and beyond demographic features, resilience had a significant prediction of anxiety and depression. None of the other health outcomes were significantly predicted by either resilience or older adults’ abuse suspicion.

Adding health to years in older adults is a collaborative effort with healthcare providers, healthcare systems, families, and communities. This study has identified three components of HEARTS (Health, Experience of Abuse, and Resilience) that blend with successful aging and provide data and possible prevention and intervention strategies, and family and community education programs that could add health to years in older adults.

School disciplines,social representations,and the construction of the didactics of history,geography, and civics

The author presents a concept of the didactics of history, geography, and civics that seeks to link, through a single dynamic, the civic, political, and social goals of school knowledge with everyday classroom practice and pupils' learning. Two concepts occupy the heart of this construction: those of school disciplines and social representations. The concept of school disciplines addresses the fact that school knowledge is a creation of the school, designed to enable it to achieve the social goals it is assigned. A school discipline is thus a particular combination of goals, content (in the form of shared knowledge), methods, and practices. The concept of social representations is a tool serving to analyze knowledge as theories of the natural and social world, its production, and its reception by the different actors involved.     

Cognitive,Affective, Personality,and Demographic Predictors of Foreign-Language Achievement

Abstract

The ability of cognitive, affective, personality, and demographic variables to predict second-language acquisition among college students was investigated. An all possible subsets regression analysis was used to compare the proportion of variance in foreign-language achievement explained by each variable. The analysis revealed that variables from each of the 4 domains were important predictors of foreign-language achievement. Overall, academic achievement, as measured by GPA average, was the best predictor, explaining 11.5% of the variance in foreign-language achievement. Foreign-language anxiety, the next best predictor, explained 10.5% of the variance. The educational implications of these findings for understanding foreign-language achievement are discussed, along with suggestions for future research.
