This article is a summary of the survey questionnaire about 'biochemical engineering' education in Japanese universities. The questionnaire was distributed to the academic professors whose research fields include, whole or partly, biochemical engineering, within the author's understanding. Almost all these professors are members of a section specializing in biochemical engineering research, a suborganization of the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan. Some of these professors are also members of the Society for Bioscience and Bioengineering, Japanese Society for Food Science and Technology, etc. The surveyed fact data are from 35 questionnaires returned from 50 dispatched. This number is considered sufficient to realize the present status of biochemical engineering education in Japan.  相似文献

Summary This paper has reviewed some approaches to the evaulation of oral language and indicated how different views influence our assessment and management of oral language problems. Some systems for classifying responses and input modalities have been discussed. Suggestions for evaluating receptive and expressive language and some skills of auditory analysis and synthesis have been presented. Conclusion I have presented some of the problems on which the Orton Society has labored during the past three decades and some of the issues needing battle in the next three. Much has happened in the past 30 years. Many of the dreams of Orton and of the Society have been realized. But I do not think anyone will wish to rest for long, for the victories have brought new problems. And so, to borrow a few words from Dr. Samuel Torrey Orton: if we continue to be “sufficiently keen” and prove ourselves “clever enough,” it would seem that the labors of our next 30 years may be as fruitful, and even more so, than those of our first thirty.  相似文献

L. N. Landa is a researcher at the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in Moscow. From the beginning of his research career, he has focussed all his work on methods of reasoning and logic. He is the author of over 80 publications which have been translated into 12 languages. The translator is Virginia Bennett, a Russian language instructor at Colgate University. The Scientific Editor for the English translation is Felix Kopstein, Secretary of the American Society for Cybernetics. The reviewer, John F. Feldhusen, Purdue University, is Professor of Education and Psychological Sciences and an Assistant Dean for Instructional Development. "小康"一词已有3000多年的历史,是一个地地道道的国产概念。在新的历史条件下,邓小平继承并创新了传统的小康思想,为其赋予了新的时代内容,用以阐释经济社会的发展目标,突破了传统小康思想片面怀旧、厚古非今的狭窄视野和僵化思维,冲破了仅把人民安居乐业作为统治手段的樊篱,冲出了仅把"礼"作为治国之本的旧框架,解决了以往小康思想仅有目标但无措施、缺乏操作性的问题,使小康社会成为一个具体的社会形态摆在人们面前,把原来画饼充饥的"小康生活"由幻想变成了现实的、科学的"小康社会",实现了传统小康思想到邓小平小康理论的伟大飞跃。  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to develop a consultation profile of interventions perceived as successful by internal or external Human Performance Technology consultants. Members of the National Society for Performance and Instruction [The National Society for Performance and Instruction is currently known as the International Society for Performance and Instruction] and the American Society for Training and Development were asked to describe in detail a single intervention which they considered successful in terms of outcomes for both themselves and their clients. The results indicate that the scope of these interventions is not limited to training but includes a broader range of performance improvement interventions. This supports the notion that professionals in the field are undertaking more systemic approaches in their practice. An average of 40% of total project time is allocated to front-end analysis. The projects reported by our respondents also emphasize collaborative decision-making, especially during the front-end analysis phase. Factors most commonly reported as responsible for the success of projects were support from the client, collaboration between team members, and clear definition of expectations.  相似文献

This paper reports our experiences in working with precollege and undergraduate American Indian students. In 1990, we began a fourth-grade after-school science program for 30 American Indian students. At the present time the program, called Scientific Knowledge for Indian Learning and Leadership (SKILL), involves over 200 American Indian 4th-9th grade students in weekly science/mathematics activities, quarterly Saturday seminars, and summer science camps. We have collected data to try to determine factors that help to improve student attitudes towards mathematics and science. Conclusions are drawn from these analyses and from our own subjective observations. The development of American Indian involvement in undergraduate science and engineering education on our campus has been aided by the establishment of an American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) chapter and also by the promotion of collaborative learning. A comparison of our observations in the framework of other more well-established programs is given. Changes that have occurred as a result of both precollege and college activities are described and discussed. It appears that each of these activities has had beneficial influences on the other. We also report problems and concerns as well as recommendations to other groups or institutions who may be embarking on similar endeavors.  相似文献

20世纪90年代以来,世界各国掀起了新一轮构建学习化社会的热潮,美国也开始重视研究高等教育在学习化社会中的发展及其所应具有的使命。1999年9月,凯洛格州立和赠地大学未来委员会发布了影响深远的报告《回到根本:一个学习化社会》,该报告指导美国州立和赠地院校更好地回应学习化社会的需求,同时,某种程度上可以给处于学习化社会创建中的我国高校提供些许借鉴。  相似文献
