本文立足高校管理的现状,分析了高校道德管理的内涵、价值,并从高校管理者、道德管理制度及组织文化方面,提出了高校道德管理实施的策略,籍此提高学校整体管理的成效,最大限度地促进高校的和谐发展。     

论儒家美德内在结构及其动力发展机制

儒家美德有着复杂的内在结构与动力发展机制。“双旋架构”体系使得儒家美德既能适应中国社会对于理想精神的需要,又能支持现实世界、现实政治的有序运作;其双重价值结构使得儒家美德既尊重了国家民族整体利益,又兼顾了社会个人利益;三角式的道德支撑与内部三维立体结构使得儒家美德具有超强的稳定性和持久的历史传承性。儒家美德的动力发展机制来自于其自身的动力模式、儒家道德精神动力及个体道德动力。这种美德动力,是多种因素的合力。它将人们紧紧地吸引在自己周围,在推动人们进行儒家道德实践的同时,强化了自身存在、发展的价值。正是基于以上原因,才使得儒家美德无论面临何种境域都能保持一种旺盛的生命力。     

美德伦理学的实践处境论略

美德伦理学的实践处境是就美德伦理学的实践应用而言的。美德伦理学认为,在行为动机领域,行为者应该出于美德而行动;在行为过程中,行为者要通过实践智慧来选择行为路线;在行为评价时,要依据行为者的品格和动机来判断。美德伦理学的积极因素在于对人类美好情感的呵护以及对社会生活中常识道德的尊重,其消极因素表现为道德精英主义和人性论上的乐观主义预设。     

规范与美德的结合:现代伦理的合理选择

规范伦理与美德伦理是道德的基本构成要素 ,从而也是伦理学理论的基本类型。近年来 ,我国学术界重视规范伦理、制度伦理的倾向有其合理性 ,但也有可商榷之处。现代道德建设应是规范伦理与美德伦理的合题与统一。美德伦理与规范伦理有出发点、核心问题、外延、特点、服务宗旨、强调重点、作用机制的不同。当然 ,二者也有相互联系、相互影响和相互作用的一致性。二者的结合 :第一 ,有利于实现社会秩序关怀与人的灵魂关怀的统一 ;第二 ,有利于实现福利价值关怀与人文价值关怀的统一 ;第三 ,有利于按照道德生活的内在规律办事 ,实现他律与自律的统一。如何实现二者的结合 :第一 ,坚持规范与美德的结合 ,在社会道德建设的具体操作机制方面 ,仍然要坚持道德的外化与内化的统一 ,制度化、法制化与主体化、能动化的有机统一 ;第二 ,在运用道德与法律两种社会调控手段时 ,仍然要坚持道德法制化与法律道德化的有机结合 ;第三 ,要加强美德伦理建设     

管理道德:民办教育可持续发展的基石

道德融入管理,不但为管理者和管理对象提供价值导向及行为规范,而且还能提高管理者的管理品质。民办教育管理道德就是使管理者具备与一定社会政治、经济和文化的背景相适应的管理素质及管理品质,并以一定的价值导向和行为规范实施管理,促使民办教育健康、持续、高质量地发展。 一、道德的管理功能 将道德融入民办学校的管理,不仅培养管理者和管理对象的道德品质,而且也具有直接的管理功能,我国传统管理强调德治德化,江泽民提出“以德治国”,就是基于道德具有内在的管理功能。这种管理功能主要体现在以下几方面: (一)维持一定的人伦是中国道德最基本的管理功能之一。人伦包括家族血缘关系和社会关系。人伦强调的“人伦本于天伦而立”、“人伦以天伦为范型”成为人际相处的基本     

学校道德管理与校长领导角色

学校应是一个道德共同体,道德管理将成为现代学校管理的新走向。在学校道德管理中,校长应扮演道德领导的角色,校长是学校的精神领袖者、学校愿景的勾画者、领导替身的寻求者和教职员工的服务者。

The Cardinal Virtues and Kinesiology

What is a good kinesiologist? Is it possible that the ancient and medieval tradition of the Cardinal Virtues sheds light on this question? The four Cardinal Virtues of prudence, justice, courage, and temperance are so called from the Latin cardo meaning “hinge.” The Cardinal Virtues are said to be the hinge upon which all the other virtues rest or turn. They are the foundation of good character. If this is right, then the answer to the question posed is simple. The good kinesiologist is prudent, just, courageous, and temperate. Therefore, to move the field forward, even on a practical level, kinesiologists must give due attention to the virtues.

Mothers,Bosses, and Superwomen: The Construction of Identities of Russian Woman Administrators in Higher Education

This article, which examines the conflicting role perceptions of ranking women administrators in Russian higher education and research organizations, is constructed around in-depth interviews of nine administrators. In a male-dominated academic culture in a country in which transition is leading to a patriarchal agenda for returning women to their ''proper'' place in the home, high-level women academic administrators are confronted with a number of conflicting demands forcing them to adopt a ''phantasmic superwoman identity''.

Enhancing the Impact of Professional Administrators on Tertiary Education

This is the opening paper given at the Australasian Institute of Tertiary Education Administrators’ Annual Conference, Canberra, 20‐23 September 1990, to begin consideration of the Conference theme, which is the topic of the paper. It proposes notions of professional practice for tertiary education administrators. It draws on the work of organisation theorists and observers to point to the peculiar nature of higher education institutions, and the use of power and influence and the role of administrators within them; and to suggest some aspects of the practice of administration to which administrators ought give professional attention.

School Teachers’ and Administrators’ Opinions about Disability Services,Quality of Schools,Total Quality Management and Quality Tools

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to determine primary school administrators’ and teachers’ opinions about the quality of their schools; the school administrators and teachers’ knowledge about Total Quality Management and quality tools and the quality tools used in primary schools. The research has been carried out with a qualitative approach and it is in the case study pattern. The participants consisted of 16 teachers and 4 school administrators working in primary schools in North Cyprus. The participants were chosen via maximum sampling method. The findings show that the current situation in schools contradicts with the basic principles of Total Quality Management. It was determined that school administrators were ignorant about Total Quality Management and none of the teachers and school administrators had previously heard the concept of quality tools. Teachers and school administrators mentioned disabled students as an issue. It seems like teachers have problems in behaving in the right way towards these students. They do not know how to improve these students’ talents because they are not educated on the subject. Via tools of quality teachers and school administrators may find reasons and solutions for issues like people with disabilities and plan events to promote disability awareness.     

AFRICAN AMERICAN ADMINISTRATORS' EXPERIENCES IN PREDOMINANTLY WHITE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

The purpose of this study was to better understand the experiences of African American administrators in predominantly white colleges and universities. In depth interviews were conducted with eight executive level administrators: six presidents and two associate vice chancellors. The interview process used a phenomenological approach focusing on the participants' interpretations and evaluations of their respective administrative careers. The participants were asked questions relative to their experiences which led them to predominantly white colleges and universities, their current administrative positions and responsibilities, and provided advice to African Americans seeking similar administrative positions.
