Study of androgen and atherosclerosis in old-age male

Objective: To observe the difference of androgen and inflammatory cytokines level in atherosclerosis and analyse their relations. Method: Both carotid arteries and arteries of lower extremity were subjected to ultrasonic examination by Doppler's method. Those with much atheromatous plaque formation were ranged into case group, and those with normal result formed control group. Total, free testosterone and estradiol were assayed by radioimmunoassay. C reactive protein (CRP) was assayed by nepheloturbidity. Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Interleukin-8 (IL-8), Interleukin-10 (IL-10), Interleukin-18 (IL-18), soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1) were assayed by ELISA. The mean difference between two groups and the correlation between free testosterone and cytokines were analysed. Results: Free testosterone was (6.337±3.371) pg/L in case group and (11.375±4.733) pg/L in control group,P<0.01. No differences were found in total testosterone and estradiol. CRP was (27.294±10.238) mg/L in case group and (12.843±6.318) mg/L in control group,P<0.01. IL-6 was (41.700±31.385) pg/L in case group and (25.396±20.772) pg/L in control group,P<0.05. IL-8 was (89.249±58.357) pg/L in case group and (67.873±31.227) pg/L in control group,P<0.05. sICAM-1 was (470.491±134.078) pg/L in case group and (368.487±97.183) pg/L in control group,P<0.01.sVCAM-1 was (537.808±213.172) pg/L in case group and (457.275±157.273) pg/L in control group,P<0.05. There were no differences in TNF-α, IL-10 and IL-18. Correlation analysis showed that FT (free testosterone) had negative correlation with CRP, IL-6 and sICAM-1. Among them FT had well correlation with CRP, correlation index was −0.678. Conclusion: Free testosterone was in negative correlation with atherosclerosis in old-age male. Free testosterone may have the role of anti-atherosclerosis, and this effect was not achieved by its transformation to estradiol. Low free testosterone level was followed by increased level of inflammatory cytokines. Low free testosterones coexist with inflammation and they both affect the process of atherosclerosis in old-age male. Career perspectives of male students in early childhood education

While, in some professions, the gender balance seems to be changing in the direction of equality, the participation of males in early childhood education has not expanded because of stereotypical perceptions of this occupation, low salaries and status, and fear of being accused of sexual abuse. Males may make important contributions to the field of early childhood education as well as female teachers. Male teachers could provide support for children as nurturing adults. It is critical to improve the perceptions about gender‐related issues in the profession of early childhood education. This study aimed to explore the perceptions and thoughts of male students. Five main categories were identified: attitudes towards male teacher identity; the advantages and disadvantages of being a male teacher; the future positions of male teachers and their future plans related to their job. The main issue was the identification and perception of early childhood teaching as “women’s work”.     

论《红楼梦》中的男仆群像

文章通过梳理《红楼梦》中与男性奴仆有关的故事情节,探讨形态各异的男仆在复杂的社会关系中的各种矛盾冲突,尝试从这一群体与全书的现实主义精神及悲剧意蕴的关系,及其与全书的叙事结构、情节的推进等方面的关系进行探讨,以期对这一人物群体有较为全面的把握。     

膝骨关节炎患者全血白细胞线粒体DNA复制数量和血浆炎性细胞因子的相关性研究（英文）

目的:本实验研究全血白细胞线粒体DNA复制数量(mtDNACN)和血浆炎性细胞因子在膝骨关节炎患者中的变化和其相关性。创新点:探讨了老年(50~80岁)膝骨关节炎患者白细胞mtDNACN和血浆炎性细胞因子水平及二者的关系。方法:分别收集膝骨关节炎组和对照组血液样本并对膝关节评分(Kellgren-Lawren grading)。使用实时定量聚合酶链反应(qRT-PCR)检测相对mtDNACN;使用多重免疫分析(multiplex immunoassay)测定血浆中10种炎性细胞因子水平;应用线性相关、Logistic回归和主成分分析(PCA)揭示骨关节炎白细胞mtDNACN和血浆炎性细胞因子的相关性。结论:血浆中白介素4(IL-4)、IL-6和全血白细胞mtDNACN可能是膝骨关节炎有效的生物标志物;IL-5则对mtDNACN减少具有潜在的影响。     

对我国男篮在二十七届奥运会上表现的反思

在第27届奥运会上,中国男篮在许多场比赛中表现失常,最终勉强进入前八名。我们认为主要原因是中国篮协急功近利,对世界篮球发展的趋势了解不够,对男篮的定位不准,管理体制僵化,对后备力量的培养重视不够。     

江苏新型农村社会养老保险试点工作研究

江苏作为我国新型农村社会养老保险先行先试地区,在探索与经济和社会发展相适应的农村社会养老保险制度方面取得了明显的成效。但是,对照城乡一体化发展的要求,尤其与城镇职工社会养老保险制度相比,目前的新型农村社会养老保险还存在保障水平低、统筹层次不高、基金保值增值困难、各地财政补贴差距较大、财政补助不及时到位等问题。针对这些问题,提出了进一步完善新型农村社会养老保险制度的对策建议。     

江西省高校图书馆男性馆员职业发展调查分析

在高校男性馆员流失已是不争的事实,他们的职业生涯发展面临诸多困惑。通过对江西省高校123名男性馆员职业发展现状的调查,提出学校与图书馆要加强图书馆价值观的培养,重视男性馆员职业生涯的发展,而男性馆员自身要加强修养,培养良好的情绪等针对性措施。     

男幼师匮乏的原因探析及对策研究

幼儿受单一性别教师影响,不利于身心健康发展。长期以来,受传统观念和对男幼师培养重视不足的影响,加上学校对男幼师教育、管理方法不当,幼儿园对男幼师的发展和需要重视不够等等原因,导致幼儿园男幼师奇缺。随着学前教育事业的发展,人们越来越认识到男幼师对幼儿健康成长的特殊作用;应该从转变观念、政府施策、重构教育管理模式及创造利于施展才能的角度出发,为男幼师创造有利的职业发展空间。

分析我国男护生的教育现状、优势和妨碍发展因素,探袭解决男护生目前状况的对策。     

普通男大学生的无氧功与某些形态指标的相关调查

[目的]探讨普通男大学生无氧功能力及其某些形态等指标的相关关系。[方法]采用Wingate试验、形态测量为方法,对26名普通男大学生无氧功和所选形态等指标进行测试和统计分析。[结果]最大无氧功(An5)与所测指标的相关系数十分接近,An5和平均无氧功(An30)与体重、去脂体重呈高度正相关关系,An5和n30与胸围、腰围、大腿围、小腿围、皮褶厚度、体重指数(BMI)呈中度的正相关关系,与身高的相关系数较低。An5/体重与所测指标均呈较低的负相关关系,An5/体重与胸围、腰围、大腿围、小腿围、皮褶厚度、BMI呈中度的负相关关系。[结论]可将所测An5、An30、An5/体重、An30/体重,4个无氧功指标的统计学数值,视为普通男大学生无氧功的主要指标。     

教师男女比例失调造成的负面影响

由于我国各地区教育发展不平衡,师资结构不合理,男女教师比例在不同的地区、城乡与学段有很大的差别.教师性别之比的失调对学生的成长所产生明显的不良影响,已引起了社会和学校的忧虑,它所造成的负面影响应值得我们每个教育工作者去关注.     

Exploring the nexus between community cultural wealth and the academic and social experiences of Latino male achievers at two predominantly White research universities

Latino males are grossly underrepresented at four-year postsecondary institutions in the United States. This phenomenological study seeks to address this emergent educational crisis by focusing on the experiences of two Latino male achievers at predominantly White research universities. Community Cultural Wealth is used to explore how Latino male collegians with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) above 3.75 employed linguistic, resistant, and navigational capital to enhance their academic and social experiences during college. The reports offered by participants in this study are intended to advance knowledge regarding the experiences of Latino male collegians as well as to enhance research, policies, and practices that increase the educational attainment of Latina/o students within higher education.     

Luminal androgen receptor (LAR) subtype of triple-negative breast cancer: molecular,morphological, and clinical features

According to the classification presented by Lehmann BD (2016), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors with four specific subtypes: basal-like (subtype 1 and subtype 2), mesenchymal, and luminal androgen receptor (LAR) subtypes. The basal-like subtypes of carcinomas predominate in this group, accounting for up to 80% of all cases. Despite the significantly lower proportions of mesenchymal and LAR variants in the group of breast carcinomas with a TNBC profile, such tumors are characterized by aggressive biological behavior. To this end, the LAR subtype is of particular interest, since the literature on such tumors presents different and even contradictory data concerning the disease course and prognosis. This review is devoted to the analysis of the relevant literature, reflecting the main results of studies on the molecular properties and clinical features of the disease course of LAR-type TNBC carcinomas.     

女性情怀辉映男子气概——试论薛涛诗歌中的双重情感

唐代女诗人薛涛,一生命运坎坷,但她以诗作在文学史上留下了自己的足迹。薛涛的诗,是其经历的文学记录,更是其心声的表露。一方面,她的诗是其女性情怀的表露,这是她遭受男权世界压迫的曲折表现;另一方面,她的诗又表露出强烈的男子气概,这与她长期与男权世界中的精英人物酬唱有关。全面认识薛涛,应该认识到薛涛诗歌情感世界的双重性。     

转型期中国农村养老模式研究

在我国转型期间，农村旧的养老模式功能不断弱化，养老问题日益突出，现行的社会保障制度受财力所限无法有效地解决这一问题，借鉴发达国家社会保障市场化改革的经验，目前，我国农村养老可采用自下而上的内敛型养老模式，即以农民个人养老为起点，依次发挥个人，家庭，集体，社会和政府的保障作用，内剑式地满足农民养老保障需求。     

An exploratory study of gender and male teachers in early childhood education and care centres in China

This paper explores the impact of gender on the employment of men in early childhood education and care (ECEC) centres through the voices of male and female early childhood teachers (ECTs) working in China. Gender imbalance in the ECEC workforce is a global phenomenon, and there has been little research about it in countries such as China. This study was based on online interviews with 16 ECTs from three major cities in China. Findings indicated that ECTs’ perceptions conformed largely with traditional gender stereotypes in Chinese culture. Western expectations that men’s participation in ECEC could challenge traditional gender stereotypes and promote gender diversity were not reflected in either Chinese academic literature reviewed or the participants’ views captured in this research. The appreciation of masculinity in Chinese culture and implied disadvantages are considered within a global context of empowering women and girls.     

Feminising and masculinising primary teaching: a critical examination of the interpretive frameworks of male primary school principals in Hong Kong

Over the past two decades, the feminisation of primary school teaching has been identified by the media and government officials in Western countries as an important contributing factor to boys' academic problems. This panic, which has been criticised by feminists as a backlash and a form of recuperative politics, has promoted the development of research into gender and education, particularly studies related to the gendered culture of primary schools and on the masculinities of male teachers. However, male primary principals remain relatively under-researched in the literature, despite the importance of their structural position and increasing concern over the masculinisation of school leadership. This paper aims to contribute to the discussion by critically analysing the interpretive frameworks of 12 male primary school principals. The findings reveal not only the complex, contradictory and at times culturally specific gendered discourses that some male principals employ, but also their feminising and masculinising effects on the school workplace and leadership.     

男子铅球技术与运动成绩的灰色关联分析

采用文献资料、数理统计等方法,将组成铅球技术的最后用力时间,最后加速距离,出手高度,出手角度4项指标建立关联度。运用灰色系统理论中的关联分析法对5名世界优秀男子铅球运动员的成绩指标进行分析。针对所得出的结论提出了铅球运动员在身体素质及技术等方面的训练建议。     

男子排球运动员伤病成因分析及预防措施

通过对我国6支甲级俱乐部的42名男子排球运动员进行关于运动损伤的问卷调查,结果发现发病率最高的是膝伤,另外,指关节、肩关节、腰、踝关节、肘关节以及肌肉的劳损和急性损伤比较多见。研究表明,创伤率与排球技术训练和身体素质训练的不合理有关,应该依据专位的特点,采取有针对性的预防措施,减少运动损伤的发生;对于己经发病者应该采取针灸、按摩等措施,予以积极治疗。     

Still flies in buttermilk: black male faculty,critical race theory,and composite counterstorytelling

Driven by critical race theory, this essay employs composite counterstorytelling to narrate the experiences of black male faculty on traditionally white campuses. Situated at the intersections of race and gender, our composite counterstory is richly informed by 11 interviews with black male faculty alongside critical race scholarship that documents the omnipresence of black misandric ideology. Through our protagonist Dr Timesnow, a black male Assistant Professor, we reflect on how his daily experiences incite racial battle fatigue, feed into imposter syndrome, and circumvent an inclusive campus community.
