影视文化作为现代新型的传媒文化,正在深刻地影响和改变着人们的生活,改变着每个人的行为方式和价值取向。当代大学生思想活跃,接受新事物的能力很强,作为高校教育工作者应该深刻认识影视文化对思想政治教育工作的影响,积极探索影视文化带来的新方法、新途径,努力开创大学生思想政治教育的新面貌。     

中小学影视媒介素养教育存在的问题及对策

影视媒介素养是媒介素养最重要的组成部分。当前中小学影视媒介素养教育存在着负面影响比较大、受欢迎的影视作品不足等问题。应当通过把影视媒介素养教育纳入中小学课程教育体系、加强影视市场管理、重视家长的"疏导"作用、推进学校的流行文化建设、多生产中小学生喜爱的影视产品等对策予以解决。     

河北影视传媒艺术教育现状探析

影视艺术与素质教育

影视艺术对培养学生的素质有重要的意义。在教育内容上,影视对于素质教育的意义主要体现在两个方面:一是知识的综合性,二是艺术的综合性。在教育手段上,影视已经形成明显的媒体霸权和接受强权,对现代教育产生了深刻的影响。     

The roles of epistemology and ideology in teachers’ pedagogy with historical ‘media’

Within the field of social studies education, disciplinary models of teaching, such as approximating a historian in asking students to ‘think historically,’ have been the emphasis of countless professional development and teacher education programs. This movement, however, has focused largely on the use of traditional primary documents and generally does not include training for teachers or students on how other forms of media construct history. This collective case study examines how two US history teachers’ epistemological beliefs about historical media and ideology and overall goals for students as citizens impacts their pedagogy with different historical media, particularly film. Data were collected on a daily basis over the course of six months, and included observations, teacher interviews, and the media used as historical sources. Findings show that teachers’ beliefs about how sources represent history affect their pedagogy with the particular media, and that epistemic development and current notions of historical thinking may be limited when it comes to media that commonly serve as historical sources for the public at large (e.g., film, television, WWW, videogames). This limitation is caused in large part by the teachers’ larger goals for students that are informed by their ideology, and difficulty in identifying bias in media that aligned with their own beliefs. Therefore, a shift in teachers’ epistemic beliefs about how different forms of media serve as sources of history, essentially a form of critical media literacy, and coinciding recognition of ideological goals needs to occur in order to better instill students with skills in historical and media literacy for the twenty‐first century.

经过十多年的改革,美国高等院校影视专业发生了很大的变化,教育课程的设置更加注重实践性。同时,由于其特殊的国民情况,美国大学目前还出现把影视课程作为"公共课程"来开设的情况。有鉴于此,我们的高等学校在影视专业的教学中应在注重实践性的基础上,增大教学对象的范围,只有这样才既有利于培养出更多更优秀的影视专业人才,又能大力提升学生的影视文化审美素养。     

Teachers and public engagement: an argument for rethinking teacher professionalism to challenge deficit discourses in the public sphere

In the context of public debates on teacher quality, both media and education policy texts construct deficit discourses about teachers, discourses that work together to inform public, commonsense understandings of teacher quality. This paper explores the interrelationships between discourses on teachers constructed on television and in policies in the Australian policy context. Critical discourse analysis was employed to trace the links between the discourses on teachers constructed in a television situation comedy and discourses in the policy documents that inform the Australian Government Quality Teacher Programme. The paper demonstrates the interdiscursivity of media and policy discourses on teacher quality by analysing the ways that the television sitcom constructed a particular version of teachers within the quality policy context. The analysis highlights the need for teachers to challenge these deficit discourses. The paper concludes by arguing for a rethinking of teacher professionalism in ways that include active engagement in public debates on education.

Television and Primary Schoolchildren in Northern Ireland 1. Television Programme Preferences

This is the first of two articles concerned with schoolchildren and television in Northern Ireland. Research on children and television has concentrated on effects, notably adverse ones. Children's own definitions of and views about the medium have been largely ignored with the result that media education has been encouraged along prevent‐or‐cure lines. By establishing the programme preferences of 7 to 11 year olds in Northern Ireland, the research reported is seen as a step towards providing a sounder basis for media education development.
